Authors Say: Jemima
Jemima moped around in her vast mind space. She's had her pupils dilating and her breathing slow yet sporadic for hours. Abigail is yet to disturb anyone, mind you, so Jemima has had a very long time to think.
In her mind, its like this dark misty space with no floor or gravity yet she still feels stuck and weighed down, its a never ending eternity of foggy blackness but at the same time you feel claustrophobic and tight, like everything is about to implode and crush you. Jemima has been walking around in there for too long, reliving certain areas and jumping through time to different horrific events. Its like she's walking in circles, theres always one more thing to see, always one more time to imagine Chiara's crackling skin, always one more time to see lilys Stomach being cut open and her organs spilling out onto the ground, always one more time to hear the crunching and grinding of chiara bones, always one more time to experience the shock and terror of Tally's exploded remains. Its just over and over again, sprinting around in circles and never getting any closer to the end. When you're stuck in your own mind, a few seconds feels like years, each moment dragged out to feel like a hyper realistic version of life.
What im trying to say is, Jemima has gone crazy.
Sitting in silence for hours after the most horrific events of your life are played out all in the space of one night is seriously damaging, even to someone as strong minded as Jemima. So, there she sits, falling deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole, feeling her mind sway and rock, running around in these circles over and over again. Of course none the wiser that she is, in fact, following down a similar path of that of Tally, tracing her steps into the world of madness and unpredictable craziness that ultimately left Tally - and Lily - dead.
