The stinging in my knee increased as I tried getting up from the couch. I slept in one position the whole night and the consequences were felt through my sore body. Getting up and ignoring the pain on my knee, I walked towards the kitchen to get something quick for breakfast. Something tells me I'm going to be alone for the rest of the day, so what could I do while then?

Chase's P.O.V.

A beeping sound woke me up and I realized it was my phone that notified me with a message.

Nicole♥: hey babe! How about a trip to the mall today?

I groaned inwardly at being awakened so early and my eyes were closing by themselves.

Me: sounds like a plan... I'll ask Adri if she wants to join

Nicole♥: actually babe, I was thinking just us two? You and adri have enough time for yourselves and I feel like it's no longer a relationship of two, but of three. I understand that she's your best friend and everything, but I want it to be just us. Is that okay?

I pondered at her text. It's true, Adri and I do have time for ourselves and it wouldn't hurt to not invite her. Well, I shouldn't have to. Nicole is right, this relationship is only ours and I don't need to feel guilty because I'm sure Adri would understand that I need time with just Nicole... right?

Me: youre right. Il pick you up at two babe

Nicole♥: thanks babe! I knew you'd understand!♡

I locked my phone, but an uncomfortable feeling sunk in. For some reason, guiltiness nagged my mind and I couldn't help but wonder, why?

Adri's P.O.V.

"Ow, fuck!" I yelled in the bathroom with my foot on top of the toilet seat, bent over blowing like a mad women into my knee. Moving a band aid after a scrape like this, was worse than when you first fall.

I heard the sound of an engine start and I half limped- half ran to go see who it was. My eyes landed on a certain blonde in a certain Chevy truck. I could see him through the window with a smile on his face as he read something on his phone. I bet it was a Nicole-text...

Turning around to finish the torture on my knee, I heard the sound of his truck pulling out the driveway with a screech.

He never did drive safely.

Chase's P.O.V.

"Babe over here!" Yelled Nicole with a smile on her face as she headed into another store.

"Can I just wait here instead? We've gone to all the stores atleast twice already," I complained as I tilted my head up with a sigh.

"But we haven't even bought you anything yet, Chasey," she said with a pout. 

"I don't need anything from here. How about we catch a movie instead?" Her eyes lit up and she squealed.

"Okay!"

Adri's P.O.V.

I was falling asleep when a familiar car engine was heard. My stalking kicked in and I peeked out the window.

"Wow, babe. I had such a fantastic day today. Just the two of us at the mall and the movies. Thank you," I heard Nicole say to Chase as they climbed out the truck and she wrapped her arms around him and gave him a kiss. 

"Anytime," he responded and attached his lips to hers.

My eyes stung as I turned around and got into my covers. Why should I care? He isn't mine and they are going out. That's what people who are together are supposed to do. Go out together and alone.

So why is it that the fact that Chase went out without me, hurt more than the stinging on my knee?
