"Wakey, wakey sleeping beauty," a voice sent shivered down my back, as a strong sent of cologne hit my nostrils. Slowly blinking away the sleepiness from my eyes, I sat up, opening my eyes to come face to face with Justin. My eyes narrowed as I took in my surroundings in the room. To my relief we were at the hospital, but none of my family seemed to be here waiting for me to wake up. 

"What did you do!? Where is my family!? What happened to Austin!? What is wrong with you!? Are you freaking crazy or-"

Justin quickly shut me up with a quick smack to the cheek. I hissed in pain, before puckering my lips in disdain at him and dragging myself out of my hospital bed. I wasn't too hurt besides the loss of blood and gun shot wound in my shoulder, but at the moment I was more worried about Austin. The last thing I remember is the large wound in his abdomen and the pool of blood surrounding him. 

"Look, I'm not going to hurt you if I don't have to, but you need to answer my questions quickly and calmly." He sighed.

I glared at him, looking around for any signs of other clothes, but found nothing. Sighing I slipped on the hospital slippers and made my way to the door. "I need to find Austin and make sure he's okay." I mumbled.

"Austin's dead." Justin's cold voice filled my ears. 

I stopped dead in my tracks and spun to face him. "YOU KILLED HIM!" I screamed, anger filling my body.

"No, Melody did." 

"What..."  I whispered, shock filling my system.

"You never truly believed that this was only me, did you? It's been Melody, Ari and I since the beginning. Melody never liked being in your shadow and I knew Ariana didn't like the fact that a nobody was taking all her spotlight. The plan was pretty simple, but then Cathy reentered the mix, so I used Austin like a pawn and you fell for it. That night we weren't trying to kill Austin, we were trying to kill you and Cathy."

I could barely breath anymore. The room began to feel small and I felt the walls coming closer and closer. This whole time I trusted Melody and believed that we were in this together, but I never saw the signs. She always conveniently left the room, was never caught in any of the drama and somehow she was a part of this puzzle. 

"What happened to Cathy...?" I croaked out.

"She's currently on a boat headed for a deserted Island." Justin shrugged.

"Why did you do this to me." I cried.

"Because you broke my heart Emma. You walked into my life and ruined it. You acted like being with me was a joke!" He growled.

"What are you going to do to me...?"

"Nothing, I'm going to let you think of what you've done. Cathy is gone, Austin is dead and it was all your fault."  The sound of Justin's taunting voice stayed in my head as he left me alone in the hospital room, tears running down my face.

2 YEARS LATER!

I sat in my college dorm, looking around at the blank walls and plain sheets. After a year and a half of searching, Cathy was found and Justin, Melody, and Ariana were arrested. It was hard for Cathy and I to get back to who we were and what we were, so we eventually grew apart. On occasion we still spoke, but things were different now... We were different now...

The whirlwind my life had gone through in the past two years really opened my eyes to how naive I had been. People so easily fooled me and I couldn't see any of it. I ruined all my chances at a good life and there was nothing I could do to change it now. I guess in the end, all I can really say is that this made me a stronger person and it was all I could truly be thankful for.

Shocking ending, sad ending, and so much more!

I did not know how I was going to end the book until today, but this was the choice I made.

I can say that this book had so many ups and downs with me, but in the end this was my very first fan-fiction and will always have a place in my heart.
