3rd person POV

"I'm booooreeeeed...." A little purple mouse whined, lying down on some empty cardboard boxes.

"Well good for you. I don't care and neither do the others, Alexandria!" An orange dog spoke up, very annoyed.

The mouse, Alexandria, huffed at the dog's statement. "I care Bruno." She sat up, "I'm gonna go find Hexie. See ya!" The mouse hollered exidedly, scampering off to find Hexie, whoever she is.

Bruno watched his companion leave, then sighed and turned away, padding into the cold, silent darkness of the alleyway.

Tails' POV

"Thanks, Amy!" I said, finishing off the last of her delicious fruit salad.

The gang had decided to have brunch at Amy's house, and everyone was excited, the pink hedgette is the best cook out there besides Vanilla!

Anyways, she had prepared a nice, hearty breakfast and Sonic actually remembered! It's a miracle! Or maybe it's because I dragged him out of bed to Amy's...

Sonic's POV

I was having a good dream! I was married to a chilidog and had kids with it! Then I ate my family and it was delicious! Well... Maybe not a good dream, but it sure was yummy!

Amy's cooking really is good, she just smotheres me every time I get close to her. But today was different....

"Hey, Ames! I'm here!" I said, knocking on the door. She opened it, surprised.

"You remembered!" She squealed, giving me a breif hug. "The others are already inside. Come on in, Sonniku!" I followed her inside, staring at her the whole time. She turned around in the hallway. "Yes?" She asked.

"Amy... You're not smothering me..." I said.

"Well, duh! I've thought about it for a while and I've realized that my actions have been very childish, and if I want you to love me, then I need to respect you." Amy explained, smiling.

"Oh... Thank you, Ames..." I responded, returning her sweet smile. 'Today's gonna be a good day!' I thought.

Little did I know......

"SONIC! I'm going to the lab in Station Square!!" Tails shouted into the house.

"ALRIGHT!" I yelled back. "Be here at 8 for dinner!!"

"Okay! See ya!" Then I heard the door slam shut.

A few minutes later I sighed, getting bored at being beaten in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. The Sonic sprite in this game sucks!

'Hey bro, why'd you quit?' the message came through as a dinging sound.

I opened the chat and responded.

'Cause Sonic in this game is nothing compared to the real dude. I can't do jack'

I fumbled around in my bedsheets and blankets for the TV remote.

I felt something long, hard, and flat brush my hand and I threw off my blanket, picking up the remote.

I pointed it at the TV and turned it on, channel surfing till I reached the news.

What I saw.... I will never forget.
