Chapter 5

Rhys made his way to the front if the dining table and sat down with everyone following suit. Dinner was rather quiet, and everyone kept to themselves. Even Aileen. You never looked up, but always felt the eyes of someone staring you down. Not that it surprised you though. Being graceful; not your thing. Ironic isn't.
As you were eating Aileen nudged your shoulder and you turn to her.

"I think he looked this way. Maybe he was looking at me!" Aileen whispered excitedly. As natural as you could, you looked toward Rhys, and Aileen was right. He was looking this way, but he wasn't looking at Aileen. He was looking at you. Immediately after realizing this you turned around and ate quietly not even bothering to answer any of Aileen's question.

Dinner came to an end and you decided to look around a bit. After all, it wasn't your style to still and wait. You wandered and wandered until you were in the gardens. It was dark, but you could tell it was beautiful.
As you marveled at the sight, you failed to realize a man with white hair sneak up on you.

"It is quite beautiful isn't it." He whispers. By reflex, you turn around at lightning speed and hit him square in the face. He landed with thud and a groan escaoed his lips. Then you realized who you had hit.

"Eremius!" You crouch down to his level and peer into his face. "I am truly sorry. It was by reflex. I thought I was alone."

"No worries Milady." He groans trying to get up. You move to support but he waves your hand away and proceeds to get up. Even when he is up, he has a hand at his jaw. "I am very sure you wouldn't have hirt me if you knew it was me." Taking his hand away from his jaw, he straightens himself up. "Now if you'll excuse me mila-"

"F/n," you cut in. "F/n is my name. I don't need those titles."

"Alright F/n." Eremius says nodding. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have other matters to attend to and try not to get lost" he bows before leaving. You wave goodbye but know he didn't see it. After this, you figured you were probably going to hurt someone by accident again, and so you go back to you room.

Once again you didn't notice the white haired man with indigo eyes hiding behind a pillar clutching it so tightly his knuckles turning even more white than it already was. His face wasn't with a smile. It was a frown. But he wasn't sad. He was angry. Angry that Eremius approached you first. But then he smiled again. Because if he was patient enough, you would be his bride in a few days. Maybe even earlier.
