The words that came out of Eremius' mouth shocked you. Brothers. They were brothers. In your state of disbelief you cry out,

"I don't believe you."

"It is the truth."

"How so? You were a servant. Yet you claim to have royal lineage. You two don't look very similar to each other."

"Let me explain."

"Go on. I'm listening."

"Rhys and I have the same father but different mothers. Our father was very much in love with Rhys' mother. She died in child birth and blinded by grief, my father got intimate with a maid; my mother. It wasn't until five years that my father found out about this. He was going to marry my mother out of duty but she died before that could happen."

"Okay so I understand that part as to why you Rhys don't look exactly the same, but if you were to be adopted into the royal family, how come you aren't acknowledged?"

"My father married into the royal family of Sola. Many opposed it because he wasn't of high nobility. So when my father planned to marry my mom, it was because he could play it off as that I wasn't related to him, but since she died, it could of aroused suspicion. Instead he made me a page and I was the playmate of Rhys as children."

"How could Rhys hurt you like this? You were friends."

"We were. We both found out we were siblings when we were fourteen. Our father apologized to me saying he would put me in succession after Rhys. After that Rhys became more distant from me. I could tell Rhys was shocked. Then it was day he died. He called both of us. He told Rhys he was to be king soon and hoped I would stay nearby. I think this is the reason why Rhys didn't kill me or kick me out. It was because he wanted to honor our father's wishes." There was a moment of silence between you two. It was a lot to take in. It also frightened you. Rhys harmed his own brother because he "loved" you. This scared you. You needed to escape him as soon as possible. You originally planned to have Eremius escape, but you feared you might get him killed. Then you had an idea pop into you hear.

"Eremius. When I arrive in Sola after being married, treat me like you never knew me."
