So in grade 9 I started drawing people. You see before I started to draw people o was drawing cats. Lots and lots of cats. I drew my own Warrior book covers and it was during that time that I developed my name maplefoot.
The first human I drew was based on a manga called +Anima.
If you haven't read it, it's about kids and teens that have animal traits. It's super good. I loved it so much I wanted to design my own +Anima.
Floss was a cross between a rabbit and a person. She was pretty bad drawing. But it was from drawing floss that I found it fun to draw people, and she's the reason you have this drawing book today. Because of floss.
Now I even wrote fan fiction about +Anima. My best fa fiction I ever wrote, over 80 A4 pages.
And every character was my own design, my own creation. The main character was Kirsty. A girl crossed with a cat, that fell in love with a handsome young man that was part flamingo.
And one of my creations was Nashi.
She was a child, part monkey.
And back then, in Grade 9 this is how I drew her.

I loved my drawings so much I coloured all of them in and got them laminated. (I'll show you my collection one day.) and that is how I used to draw. And then over the years my styles changed. In grade 12, I took it onto myself to redraw her.

I mean she's obviously Older now, but I just love comparing how much I have changed since I started to draw humans up until now.
