For some reason, Jungkook has a spot reserved for anxiety sticking by him today. He can hardly focus on set and it upsets him.

"Lunch break! Thirty minutes!"

Ah. There it is.

"Jungkookie!" he immediately hears Hoseok's voice approach. He doesn't like that Seokjin glances at him.

Hoseok and Jimin come in like they own the place, holding out two separate bags, one for Jungkook and the other for Seokjin.

"Is there somewhere to sit and eat?" Hoseok asks. Seokjin points over to a small table towards the back of the building.

That's how the four end up eating lunch together, Jimin sitting by Jungkook and Hoseok sitting by Seokjin. But Seokjin is sitting across from Jungkook.

It's weird.

What's weirder is that Hoseok and Jimin have a conversation with the two of them, which automatically means that they're having a conversation together. Jungkook is quiet and Seokjin is as well, but he still talks more than the youngest. Jungkook only answers if he's spoken to.

Eventually, Seokjin seems to loosen up and laughs a little brighter, talks a little louder, and makes conversation flow just like always. Just like he'd always done before.

Jungkook's skin is buzzing as he recalls so many memories within the past twenty minutes. It oddly feels like nothing is wrong, like nothing had ever changed, but then he glances up at Seokjin, who's already looking at him, and he's shoved back into the harsh reality that they aren't friends anymore, aren't teasing each other flirtatiously, and aren't dating like they once were.

It feels odd to see how happy Jimin and Hoseok still make him. Odd because he's no longer a part of that happiness.

Jungkook constantly has to remind himself why they're even in this situation, and it builds up his stone cold walls all over again.

He looks away from Seokjin and doesn't look at him again for the next ten minutes of their break.
