A/N POV

"NO!"

Arina screamed and was quick to cover up y/n. She wrapped her arms around her neck and engulfed the startled woman in a bear hug, protecting her from the bullet.

Y/N was unable to comprehend what just happened. It all happened in the snap of a second but it sure created a huge impact on her. Not a single word escaped her mouth, she was numbed by what she just witnessed. She stood there silently, the girl soaked in blood still hugging her tightly. The surroundings appeared to be paused for the woman.

The injured angel in human form, collapsed from the hug and appeared to fall in slow motion, as her hands slowly started giving up due to lack of strength and everything solemnly appeared like black spots to her, like a black screen.

Y/N caught her falling body and placed it in her lap. Her hands were trembling and they were bathed in the thick red liquid. She was unable to speak anything only her shaking hands were caressing Arina's hair.

"A-A-Arina no n-no." She finally opened her mouth to speak in a low whisper, unable to think anything.

"G-go." The beauty bathed in blood whispered softly and even in this immense pain, she was urging her to escape and she closed her eyes.

The man was again pulling the trigger this time aimed on Y/N...

Everything's over.

It was the end.

Yes it was.

Or that's what she thought.

Soon his gun flew in the air somewhere far, with a kick landing on his face and belly by the bodyguard.

In a short minute the bodyguards were fast to cover up Y/N, their guns loaded and pointed towards the person who just intended to fire a bullet towards the woman, their master is dying to protect.

Jungkook pulled the brakes of the car which produced a blaring screech sound. He too heard the gunshot and of all the worst things to happen he certainly wasn't able to even imagine Y/N getting hurt.

He unknowingly was developing a soft corner solitary for her, only and only her.

"Wh-what h-happened?!" Jungkook asked horrified to the bodyguard, his hands quivering on the steering wheel.

He was almost on the verge of breaking down had it not been for the bodyguard to inform him about the details.

"Sir, Arina got shot. Mrs. Min is safe. We're shielding her ."

He sighed in relief although he sure felt pity for the girl but his main concern now was seeing Y/N- safe and sound. Even one second apart was breaking his fragile heart which was not used to seeing blood baths.

"Protect her! I'm almost there." He ordered in a nervous tone.

The call didn't got cut from the other side and so he could hear everything.

Park Jang Mi was rushing towards his office and the scene which felt like eternity to be paused started moving again- with action.

The guards were surrounding Y/N who was speechless. But soon many other men from YJN filled the room and a deadly fight started between the two groups of men. Punches, blows, fists, even guns were used. The scene sure was nerve-racking for any person but she was void of any emotions, her conscience lost it's way of thinking and interpreting.

She was in utter shock to the point she didn't even notice when these people stared fighting. For her there was only one person in front- Arina who layed there on the verge of death. The fact that had it not been for her, she would've been the person who got shot, was more heartwrenching.

She is in this state because of her.

"Ma'am run away right now!" The man shouted but she couldn't hear anything.

A man was about to punch her but she was so immersed in her distress that she didn't even notice the blow coming towards her.

The guard again protected her, this time raising his voice a bit loud to make her come to her senses.

"MA'AM! PLEASE GO!"

She flinched at the sudden upheaval in the voice and looked in his direction.

"She- I-" She opened her glued lips to say something but she choked on her own words.

"Ma'am we'll handle everything here. Please go! Else it'll create a huge problem if Park Jang Mi sees you here. She wanted you to go! Please do as planned!" He begged her implying on Arina's words , which somehow made her continue according to the plan except that she lost the determination she had, now she was depressed.

She certainly wasn't wishing to move an inch from here leaving her saviour alone but the situation wasn't in her favour.

Finally she ran from the back door towards the emergency exit stairs, finally letting her tears out whilst crouching on her knees. She sobbed silently.

Letting her tears flow was not in her list. Afterall, she was a bold woman and she can't become soft when Arina just sacrificed herself so that she can escape. But looks like she wasn't able to hold back anymore.

Her earpiece buzzed making her come back to her senses and she picked up the call wiping her tears, whilst running downwards towards the underground parking area through the shortcut emergency route.

She ignored the calls as her first priority right now was escaping from here with the drive that is the evidence.

"Close all the exits of the company right this instant!!" Jang Mi ordered the security services.

"Sir we have but we're unable to close the emergency ex-" The other side spoke surprised because Yoora hacked the security systems and thus the exits can't be closed until Y/N comes out.

"Shit! Tell the boys to cover the exit. The person shall not escape!" He screamed in the fear of losing important files related to the dirty business of the company.

He finally reached the top floor- his office and the scene in front made the ground collapse from his feet. His men were all laying unconscious on the ground and the top female star was covered in blood.

The only standing persons were Jungkook's men.

"W-what is happening here?" He asked perplexed.

The guards pointed their guns towards him.

"We don't think so you have the right to ask anything to us. We are doing what we're ordered. It'll be better if you don't offend our master. You know the family we work for right?" The guard asked peircing into Jang Mi's soul as if warning him to stay away from their business.

Certainly, he was scared and offending that family was the last thing he could do, to land up in a container with boiling oil and the satan waiting for him in hell.

He raised both his hands in defeat.

"Y-yes." He replied shortly.

"This incident should not come out at all costs. Also, get her treated in the best hospital." He ordered. Well, these were the exact lines Jungkook asked them to convey to him.

"Also ask your minions to stop wherever they are. One scratch on her and we'll not think twice to blow your head."

"I- I will do as you s-say." He answered nervously and instantly called his men to stop wherever they are.

She was running and running until her legs gave up and then she noticed four men following her, more like chasing her.

She didn't had the strength to fight but Arina's words rang in her head in a continuous loop which awakened the monster inside her. She really will kill these people if they step further.

One of the men clenched her hair making her wig land in his hands making him confused.

"Keep it with you, bastard." The villainess inside her spoke out and she punched the man with her full strength.

She was about to escape from the exit until someone pulled her towards him making her goggle-eyed. His hands tightly placed in her arms.

"W-what the hell you doing here?!" She asked confused to the man who was furious witnessing the scene in front.

"KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT!" Jungkook shouted real hard making her flinch. He was frustated and it got out on her.

Before she could say anything she saw just how much angered he was, he truly is different 'man' when raged.

One of the men approached at the speed of light, on the chase of catching Y/N, until he saw an enraged muscle bunny twisting his neck side to side, as if awakening the beast inside him and the next scene was unexpected.

He punched.

A hard, solid, stone like punch on the face of the man having the power to break his teeth. He then chocked his neck, banging the back of his head on the pillar not caring that these men are loaded with weapons and cherry on top- his face is clearly visible.

This made her anxious if he's seen here there'll be a huge issue than it already is and so she tried to stop though she herself was on the verge of breaking down.

"What do you think your were trying to do just now huh?" He asked in a low monstrous tone, something totally unlike him. It was like a new side of Jungkook - the bold, furious one which was an extremely rare site.

"L-leave him." She asked in a shaking voice as she was panicked, more of which her braincells weren't working at all. She just wanted to run from here and meet her saviour.

The others were taking out their guns until Jang Mi ordered them to not do a single thing.

"Don't shoot!" One of the man screamed on top of his lungs.

She took this opportunity and twisted his hands making the gun land in hers and swiftly shot on their legs making them collapse on the ground.

"For Arina." She whispered in a breathy tone, to the injured men.

She was no doubt bold just now, but her body certainly wasn't. Her hands were shaking due to anxiety and Jungkook saw her wobbly legs. He tightly held her hand and they ran from there.

After a couple of minutes they saw the car and he was still not over his anger, his vexation was now getting out in his actions.

He pushed Y/N into the car and without a word started driving to an unknown route. She was too panicked and thunder-strucked to even ask anything to him and so she remained silent until her earpiece buzzed and she picked up the call.

"Y/N why aren't you out yet?! What-" Yoora enquired concerned as they were still waiting for her unknown of what turmoil just happened.

"I'm o-out. We- we'll talk later." She stuttered and choked on her own words.

Yoora understood the thickness of the situation and the tension in her voice. Thus she didn't question anymore and handled Jaehoon and Jin Young telling them that they succeeded and Y/N is safe.

Y/N was not feeling well at this point and the heavy rains made her head go dizzy. More of which she was filled with so much guilt that she can't even focus on what's important. She was enervated and filled with gloom. Her state was not like her usual self, it was the complete opposite- she was so fragile, one more strung and the timid string of pearl beads might break then and there.

Jungkook noticed her deteriorating state. Even his phone was buzzing again and again but he straightaway ignored all the calls no matter how important they are.

He finally stopped the car at some place and sternly asked her to come out.

"Come out."

The rain poured heavily making him drenched and he looked even more attractive, like a fallen being, a devil who might kill if anyone tried to hurt the person he cherishes. He really did appeared like a completely different version of himself.

She didn't notice much of the changes in his behaviour as she was fighting with her thoughts of pain, misery and guilt.

She did as said and silently got out from the car and the rain soaked her too, which she was grateful for. It helped hiding her tears which she didn't wanted to show to anyone.

But her heart wasn't agreeing to stay. She wanted to meet Arina, even a glimpse would do- she owed her a lot.

Arina taking the gunshot for her, had the same impact on her when she saw Jungkook dead, in her last life. She can't afford to lose people anymore. It scared her so much, so very much that she can't think straight of what might happen if she goes anywhere else. She was constantly blaming herself for what happened to her.

"C-can I g-go please." She asked anxiously to the vexed man who was observing her each and every move.

He noticed how much soft and fragile she actually is, he saw how much panic-stricken she got. He too was blaming himself for not being able to help her even a bit.

Afterall, he was the reason she is in this state.

He closed his eyes for a second to calm himself and then looked straight into hers.

Those eyes were trying so hard to not lose their composure of coldness and they certainly were moist and red. Her cheeks were swollen and the tiny little icy-cold drops made her face look even more vulnerable.

Her state melted him more than butter. Those stutters of hers made him soft.

"Y/N, I promise nothing will happen to her. Try to understand." He spoke softly trying to make her somewhat relaxed which didn't help at all.

"How can I?! She got shot BECAUSE OF ME!!" She screamed like a lunatic, unable to get hold of herself, she was not able to even stand properly due to shock.

Jungkook placed his hands on her shoulders shaking her up a bit as if urging to knock some senses on his distressed lady.

"I- " She tried to talk further but her strength gave up. Her words were coming out in a whisper and she was trying to grasp air, it became suffocating for her.

The cold sprinkles of heavy showers making the trepidated woman shiver from cold, the horrific scene she just witnessed, the fresh bruise on her back stinging her already painful state and culpability in her mind, was enough of a torture. She was struck by a panic attack.

"Ah!" She hissed in pain unable to hold back anymore.

Jungkook was saying something but she couldn't hear anything, it was a blur and everything went black.

Her body gave up, she fainted and was about to fall but Jungkook caught her, all worried. His hands supported her neck and he patted on her cheeks urging her to wake up.

"Y-Y/N!! W-wake up. P-please!" He yelled.

He placed her unconscious self even closer to him and noticed how cold her body is, the cold pearls drenching their body giving them goosebumps but what was more chilling was the pain they felt inside.

"It was not because of you. So please!"

The agitation soon turned into disquiet and the muscle bunny changed to his usual self, he turned soft.

The only warm thing in this rainy and cold weather were his tears, dripping simultaneously from his eyes, brushing his lashes and passing through his flawless face.

He obviously was taken aback by her sudden blacking out and the first thought which came in his mind was..

'She must be seriously injured and I failed to protect her.'
