Kitaquil heeereee XD

I'm not really good at teaching and explaining stuff buuuut i'll do my best!

So here goes...

Step 1 : draw a hair line. The hairline is drawn above the forehead. It marks where the bangs will start. This isn't really necessary to draw tho so you can go ahead and skip to......

Step 2: start with drawing the bangs first. Make sure you mark a place where you want the hair parting(?) to be in. (Sorry idk what to call it but in the media its the thing i labeled "where it starts") It really helps you know the direction of where the hair should flow in....i guess.

Study the arrows i drew on the bangs. Notice how the hair is starting from the same direction :D

Step 3: draw the rest of the hair :3 you can go any direction you want in this part. Just make sure that it connects with the hair parting(?) and that the hair is drawn a little bit farther from the scalp of the head. Aaanywayyy...just study how i did it in the media up there. You'll get it. (probably)

The hair i'm drawing has slightly curly hair, but you guys can draw straight hair or even curlier hair too! It doesn't really matter XD

And finally,

Step 4: erase all the unnecessary lines. And BAM!! There you have it XD you can also draw a couple of hair strands to add a little "realism" to the hair :3

Final Notes:
-Gravity acts on hair and pulls it down. Even if the character you're drawing is hanging upside down, gravity still pulls it doooooowwwn. (Um well, unless they're using super sticky gel on their hair or something XD)
-Where the wind goes, the hair flows along with it. So take note of the direction of the wind on your drawing when you draw hair.
-draw hair "loosely". it gives off the illusion of loose and smooth hair.
-the internet is your friend. You can use it to search up for some reference pics whenever you have a hard time drawing hair :3
