Never Give Up & Trust
Almost 2 months after, Brandon finally got a day off from work. We went to the nearest hospital. For some reason all the clinic hours of EENT doctors in that hospital was over for the day. Brandon started to change his mind, he wants us to reschedule again. But I declined for a reschedule. I insisted that since he already took a day off from work we should go to a different hospital.
On our way to the 2nd nearest hospital, I was feeling my nerves but I kept saying to him that we better go ahead and have the consultation done. And silently I was praying that may we find a doctor, the best one.
Upon reaching the hospital we were told that only one EENT doctor is left. And we went to the doctor's clinic. As we ride the elevator I felt like it was the fastest and fearful elevator ride I have ever had. But I kept saying Jesus, Mary and Joseph to myself.
When the clinic door opened we were immediately guided inside. We met a young, positive and pleasant doctor, Doc Concepcion. He asked us several questions, when did it start, how does my husband feel, what medicines were taken. Then he decided to view the inside of Brandon's nose using an apparatus.
As I observe him I know from his look that he saw something. But as positive and pleasant as he is, his first words were simple and motivating.
" I see something but we will try a medicine to make you feel better. You will come back after 5 days for us to see how the medicine worked then."
The doctor gave us hope and relief. His young, positive, vibrant and pleasant personality made me feel hopeful and assured that Brandon is going to be fine, that he is in the right hands. That was the first time that I felt so comfortable and assured by a stranger. A stranger that we never thought would be a familiar face of hope as we face a different journey together.

Giving up should never be an option.
- we never gave up even when we didn't find a doctor in the first hospital.
- we persisted by going to another hospital.
In our moment of lost and confusion we have to trust God and sometimes stranger/s.
- as we trust that God will help us, we also trusted a doctor that we met for the first time.
- we didn't know the doctor then, but we put our trust to him like trusting a stranger we met for the first time.
