Suddenly my eyes fixed on Jade as Regina waved her hand and the fish turned into wood. As I watched a large wave, nearly twice the size of the ship rose up in front of us. "Regina, what did you do?" Emma yelled in fear.
"This storm is the worst I've seen" I yelled over the wind but he didn't reply. The wave came crashing down and we were all soaked through to the skin. I knew form experience, that had this been in different circumstance Killian probably would have winked at me. Once we were through the wave Emma ran over and she looked at me. I let go of the wheel only to see David punch Killian. "This is your fault" he yelled and I screamed but they didn't stop.
"Emma, do something" I begged. We looked around the ship to see David and Killian fighting. Mary Margaret and Regina fighting. "It's not Jade" I yelled at her and she frowned
"What do you mean?" she yelled back.
"It us" I told her and I knew that she saw it as well. "Guys! You need to stop fighting!" I yelled but no one heard me apart form Emma. I looked at her desperately and she nodded.
"I've got a plan" she said and ran to the side and jumped up onto the edge.
"Emma be careful!" I warned.
"Stop!" she yelled at the four fighters "You need to listen to me! Don't you see we are causing the storm!" she yelled but it made no difference. Suddenly she turned and dove into the foaming water below.
"Emma!" we all yelled and the fighting stopped as we tied a rope around David and he followed Emma into the water. I watched in fear as Mary Margaret and Killian heaved the two out of the water. Emma lay, scarily still on the floor of the deck.
"Emma?" Mary Margaret whispered over her daughter's body.
Suddenly Emma coughed up water and I let out a breath of air not realizing I had been holding it in as I watched. "Told you" she coughed and looked to the sky. We all looked as well and saw that the storm had cleared in a matter of seconds. I would have pointed out that it was in fact me that had worked out what was causing the storm, but as Emma risked her life to save us I let her have it. After the storm the Jolly Rodger was badly damaged and we had to land sooner rather than later.
"We'll make do" I encouraged when Killian said this. He nodded and we sailed to the closet beach.
"What was life like, in that other world?" he asked randomly as we sailed and I shot him a questioning look.
"Why?" I asked and he shrugged.
"Am I not allowed to be curious about your life without me?" he asked and I meant to laugh but it turned into a ungraceful snort. Killian laughed and me and I grinned.
"Oh it was alright there, I mean when I didn't know I was who I am. If that makes sense. I got a job working in a shop, but was quite dull, not much happened. But there are some good things about that world. I mean, TV is good and so is the internet, I discovered something called angry birds the other and it's quite addictive. It's a game" I added when he looked confused "Tampons are a heaven send as well... their like... actually you don't need to know about those..." I rambled on like this for a while until I realized Killian was staring at me weirdly. "What?" I asked and he shook his head.
"Nothing, just... it's been twenty nine years and it's like you never even left" he said and I frowned.
"Do you want it to be like I had?" I asked and he shook his head.
"Of course not, But we can't ignore it" he said and I shrugged.
"Well, I am. Hang on..." I said stopping in the street.
"What?" Killian asked worriedly and I looked him up and down carefully.
"Twenty nine years and you look just the same" I said and he chuckled.
"After curses and a spell in Neverland I still look devilishly handsome?" he teased and I rolled my eyes.
"I would still think you handsome when your old and grey with only half a leg and no hands because you keep making people mad enough to chop them off idiot" I laughed and he grinned.
"You still look the same" he pointed out and I shrugged again.
"Time didn't move in Storybrooke. Not until Emma broke the curse anyway. We didn't age" I said.
"That make us equal then" he said and spun the wheel of the ship. I cocked my head to one side not sure what he meant. "Well, you were twenty six when we were separated and I was twenty eight. Round the years apart to thirty, that makes you fifty six and me fifty eight. But neither of us appear to have aged a day and we can still grow old together" he explained and I grinned. I rested my head on his shoulder as he steered the ship towards the beach.
"I like the sound of that."
