David and I were just about to peruse them but Killian called out. "Adaline!" he yelled and I stopped to look back. Killian had grabbed hold of David to stop him running after them. "What are you doing? They've got the beans" David yelled and fought to get Killian off.

"Not all of them!" Killian yelled.

"What?" I asked and walked over to stand with them.

"I snagged one, what are pirates best at?" he asked and I grinned as he pocketed the bean and caught his breath.

"What about the rest of them?" David asked.

"It doesn't matter, we only need one" I said but David made to run off. Killian grabbed his arm and stopped him.

"Hey!" he yelled "live to fight another day, mate."

"I am not your mate" David growled and fumbled in Killian's pocket, took the bean and walked off. Killian rolled his eyes at me and I smiled.

"I'll be your mate" I said and walked off after David with a sigh.

"You already are" I heard him mutter as I passed and I couldn't help but smile.

We followed David back through the building and all the way to Grannie's Dinner. When we walked in and found that Mary Margaret and Henry had gathered everyone together like Emma had instructed. David went charging into the dinner hand holding the bean outstretched.

"We have the bean" David cried out. Killian and I, hands now locked together, stood in the corner and watched. I probably could have gotten more involved, but I said I would follow Killian.

"You did it?" Emma asked walking over to David.

"Yeah" he breathed.

"Great. Are you alright?" she asked and touched his arm where he had been jumped by Greg.

"Yeah, just a graze, it's fine" David promised.

"Great let's get going" she said. I glanced at Killian and he pulled a face and squeezed my hand.

"Henry" Emma called and he walked over.

"Where's my mom?" he asked and a pained silence fell over the room when we too realized that Regina was not with Emma.

"Regina can hold back the self destruct trigger long enough for us to get away, but..." Emma said unable to finish her sentence.

"But what?" Henry asked and I could see the distress on his face.

"She won't survive" Emma said quickly as if it hurt to say it.

"No... no!" Henry cried.

"I'm sorry, I promised that I would get you to safety" Emma tried to explain.

"But we can't do that! She's family!" Henry cried. I sighed and smiled up at Killian before slipping my hand out of his. I walked over to Emma and placed a hand on her shoulder. I could feel Killian's eyes watching me.

"Can I?" I asked Emma and she sighed but nodded and stepped back. I smiled at Henry and bend down to his height. "Henry, listen. My mother told me before she died something that I have never forgotten. She said 'the only thing necessary for evil to triumph is that good men should do nothing'. We are doing something to save everyone, but it means that someone has to stay behind. I'm sorry it's your mother, but it has to be done." I tried to explain. Henry shook his head.

"No. She's family and we don't leave family behind" he said. I sighed and looked up at the others. I stood up and stepped back.

"Henry, Anna's right. We tried and failed. It's what she wanted" Emma said.

"We saved her from being killed my the wraith. How is this nay different?" Henry asked.

"The wraith..." Mary Margaret muttered.

"What about it?" I asked.

"We sent it through a portal, why can't we do the same with the self destruct?" she asked. My eyes widened, it was a good idea, but would it work.

"Because we don't know if that would work" Emma said.

"It could!" Mary Margaret argued and David went to her side to back her up.

"It's too risky, no one would go along with it" Emma said.

"Yes we will" Archie spoke up and entered the circle that had formed in the middle of the dinner. "Because it's the right thing to do" he said. "Snow white and the prince have always lead us before, and we've always won. So who's willing to let them lead us again?" Archie asked and everyone, me included, raised our hands.

"Thank you Archie" Mary Margaret said "This is what we should, and will do. I know we've not had a lot of chances to be parents, but give us this one. Let us do the right thing?" she asked. Emma pulled Henry into her arms and I left the group to stand next to Killian again.

"I just don't want him to be alone" she said.

"You did great" Killian whispered down at me and I smiled.

"Henry and I have always gotten on well" I explained.

"I didn't know you mother had told you that, though" he said and I shrugged.

"Saving it for a rainy day I guess" I said.

"Speaking of your mother" I watched as Killian held out his hand to me and I gasped. On his little finger was the ring my mother had given me.

"I thought I had lost that" I whispered.

"Take it" he said and I smiled shaking my head.

"You keep it" I said "Keep it safe for me" I smiled. He grinned and nodded taking my hand in his own as I stretched up and kissed his cheek.
