Killian's POV

Night fell and I stepped off the ship to sit on a barrel and wait for Cora. I managed to find a split of metal and sharpened my hook as I waited. The only thing going through me head as that look Adaline had shown me. Yes, I kenw she hadn't been able to see me, but it hurt just the same. Had she moved on, and found this new man to love? I didn't know, and I didn't want to presume before I knew. But it looked like it. The sound of shoes walking towards me made me and I looked up to see Cora. "Did you find what you needed?" I asked. I didn't mention Adaline to her, it would show her a weakness in me that would be best for her not to see.

"Yes. My daughter's lost everything now" she replied happily.

"Well aren't you mum of the year?" I said with a sarcastic grin up at her. She didn't see the funny side as much as I did.

"I did what was needed" she said, trying to make her reasoning logical.

"What about what I needed?" I asked. I may have seen Adaline, but she had not seen me and I was still going to skin that bloody crocodile. "You promised you would help me get my revenge on Rumpelstiltskin"

"And I've already started" she smiled "Or didn't you notice the little gift I left you in the hold of your ship?" she asked and I raised a skeptical eyebrow.

"A gift?" I asked. I stood up, it was best not to trust Cora at the best of times. Now? When she would happily kill someone for what she wanted. Bad time to trust her. "What is it?" I asked.

"Not what. Who..." she said and walked up onto the ship. I watched her carefully before following her. Cora led the way to the hold. On my ship... She opened the door to the storage below and looked in. Opening the other door I sighed.

"Who's that?" I asked clearly.

"Someone privy to Storybrooke's deepest secrets, including Rumpelstiltskin. Someone who can help determine his weaknesses here" she said as I put my foot on the edge of the door and leaned my good arm on my knee. "Can't you doctor Hopper" Cora said and I raised an eyebrow. She had said she had killed a doctor Hopper...

"So if that's him, who did you kill?" I asked.

"How do I know?" she asked "It's my first day in town" I chuckled a little.

"As if death wasn't punishment enough, this might just work"

"Thank you" Cora smiled. I swear I had never seen her smile before. "Now you'll have all the knowledge you'll need. It may take some work though" she said "But this cricket will chirp"

"Aye, that he will" I said before slamming the door down. My plan was set, having changed a little on seeing Adaline. I could have gone to find her. But she wouldn't have been safe. Kill the crocodile, make her safe. Find her. Easy. Or so I thought.
