"How do you know Papa?" Grace asked as we walked together down the street.

"It's a long story" I said and she shrugged.

"I'd like to hear it" she said and I did as she asked. I told her about Jefferson's help when I found myself in Wonderland. he seemed to be enthralled by the story and she was greatly interested in the fact that her father had been looking for her. "I wonder where Papa could be" she said and I shook my head.

"I don't know where he is, Grace. But my friends and I need his help to bring back Snow White and her daughter Emma, the woman who saved us all. Your papa will come and find you, you will be reunited and he can help us" I told her and she nodded.

"Then we must find him, for your friends" she said and smiled at her kindly. Jefferson had told me about the kindness she showed to everyone. He was lucky to have a daughter like her.

Grace and I wandered around the town for a while calling out for Jefferson but with no real result. Eventually we came to a stop not far off from the bus stop where we had started our search and a voice spoke up from behind us. "Adaline? Grace?" it said. Grace and I spun round to see a teary eyed Jefferson stood behind us a white rabbit in his hands.

"Papa!" Grace cried out and ran towards her father. He bent down to her height and she threw herself into his arms. I couldn't help but smile and tear up a little myself as they hug each other tightly as if neither one would let the other go, ever again.  Jefferson stroked Grace's blond hair and kissed the side of her head.

"Gracie" he whispered and she pulled away from him.

"I knew you would come for me, Papa" she told him and he smiled a watery smile.

"I told you I would didn't I" he chuckled. It wasn't until I sniffed back my own tears of happiness that the pair remembered I was there. "Adaline" Jefferson said softly and stood up taking Grace by the hand and leading her over. "Thank you" he said and I smile with a shrug.

"I don't know what your on about" I said and he laughed.

"You found Grace for me. Now I have to find Killian for you" he said determinedly and I shook my head.

"That's just it" I said and he frowned "He's not in Storybrooke. There's no happy ending for me" I said "But I'm glad that you found yours, and I'm hoping you help me to help someone else get theirs" I said. Jefferson looked sad for me but after a reassuring smile he nodded.

"It's good to have you back, Adaline" he said and I sighed taking in a long, much needed, breath.

"It's good to be back" I said and I hugged him tightly. "Come on, we're needed" I said.

"Anything for you" he said and I grinned leading the way, Jefferson and a very happy Grace following me.

We headed back to Snow's apartment in the hope of finding David and Henry but as we passed Grannie's I spotted them sat outside sipping coco. "David!" I called and they both turned around to look at me. "Look who I found!" I said and the three off us walked over to them. "David, this is Jefferson and his daughter Grace" I said.

"Great, we need to talk" he said and I nodded.

"You stay with Henry, Grace. I'll be back" Jefferson said. Grace thought about it but nodded and went to sit with Henry while David, Jefferson and I slipped off to a different table to talk. We sat down and David pulled out Jefferson's hat.

"We know what this is. Can you get me through?" David asked bluntly and I stared at the hat that was clearly damaged.

"No" Jefferson said just as bluntly.

"Can you get them back?" David asked and Jefferson frowned. "Don't lie, I can assume Anna told you who we where looking for" he said and Jefferson shook his head.

"No actually" he said.

"My wife and daughter where taken through your hat and I want to get them back" David explained "So can you get them back?" he asked and Jefferson rolled his eyes, I managed to resist the urge to smack his leg. "Can you get it to work?" David asked.

"If only you knew" Jefferson sighed. I knew this was the hat he had been trying to recreate to get back to Grace. But now he had found her and no longer had a need of it.

"Jefferson..." I muttered and held up my hand to David who tried to speak but he fell back in his chair letting me talk. Jefferson looked at me with sad eyes. "I know how long you looked for Grace, and how desperate you where. We found her and that's wonderful, but you remember what it felt like without her?" I asked and he nodded. "Well that's how David feels now, and we need your help to get his family back. Please, if not for them, for me" I said. Jefferson sighed with frustration.

"They're in the Enchanted Forest, that's for sure. I just can't get there" he explained.

"It still exists?" David asked and Jefferson nodded.

"It exists. I don't know if that matters, since we can't go there" he said.

"So, you won't help me?" David asked just wanting a proper answer from my friend.

"I'm a portal jumper, and you destroyed my portal, so you're out of luck" he said and I sighed. I thought talking to him would help. That did it for David though. He jumped across the table and grabbed Jefferson by the collar.

"David!" I screamed but he ignored me.

"Well, I'm the closest thing left to a sheriff here, so I can just throw you in a cell until you figure out a way" he said and Jefferson shrugged.

"There's nothing I can do" he said.

"What about Grace?" I asked and he smiled.

"I know you'll look after he for me" he said and with that he jumped up and ran away. I sighed and rolled my eyes. Jefferson was more of a flight than fight person if you know what I mean. David made to go after him but I stopped him.

"Leave him" I said.

"But--"

"No but's he'll come back fro Grace and then I'll talk to him" I said and David sighed walking out of Grannie's to find Henry. I followed reluctantly not wanting to tell Grace that her father had run off, but I had to. When I reached them, Grace and David where there but not Henry.

"Where's Henry?" I asked Grace shrugged.

"I went to the bathroom for a moment, and when I came back, he was gone. But I found this on the table for you" she said and handed a slip of paper to me. I opened it and scanned it quickly my mouth forming into the shape of a small 'o'.

"What is it?" David asked.

"Henry's gone with Regina" I told them.
