PERSONALITY
Daemin is pretty much the chillest instructor HQ has. Easygoing, laid back, and almost always down for a good time, he likes to create a comfortable environment for his students. He's also really talkative—not as much online, but in person, you can hardly get him to shut up. Loyalty is a huge part of who Daemin is, though, from his younger brother to his boyfriend and daughter, even to his students, Daemin looks out for those close to him.

BACKGROUND

Daemin is the elder of two brothers, born in Ilsan, a satellite city of Seoul. He's five years older than his brother, Minhyuk, and as a kid, certainly felt a bit of pressure to be a good influence on him, as he was made well aware that Minhyuk looked up to him. Daemin wasn't a bad kid. Sure, he had moments of rebellion, but what kid doesn't? Daemin never did anything super terrible, sticking mostly to stupid pranks and skipping school a few times in his teens.
As an adult, Daemin attended university for an arts and teaching double-major, intending on being a music teacher—which he did do, taking a job at a middle school near where his parents lived. It was an all right life, for a while. He dated some, though not anything super serious for the most part, and quickly got very tired of dealing with twelve year olds.
He started looking for other prospects after a while, starting with the entertainment industry—though Daemin's not been with any companies, he is an underground rapper known as FlyHi. His rapping is how actually he met his current boyfriend, Jihae, then also in the scene under the name Hazey. They met at a freestyle competition (which Daemin won, thank you), and began dating shortly after. Using his rap skills and his degree, Daemin was able to get a position at HQ Entertainment—where he can also keep a closer eye on his little brother.

the way daemin and jihae (or jiji to daemin) met has been discussed above, and they've been going strong pretty much ever since! they moved in together after they'd been dating about eight months, and daemin absolutely adores jihae's five-year-old daughter, yuri (who calls him daddy and rules his world). hell, they even got a dog recently!

- He and Ji-Hae moved into together after they'd been dating for eight months, and Daemin adores Ji-Hae's daughter Yuri, treating her as his own.
