PERSONALITY
Mikey, first and foremost, loves to have fun. He is a daredevil too, and will do just about anything for a good time—there's a reason his dorm is nicknamed the chaos dorm. He can be rather obnoxious, but he isn't trying to be—he's just enthusiastic and loud—and he's known for being impatient unless his partner is involved. Plus, Mikey is really friendly, always wanting to befriend people.

BACKGROUND

Mikey is the younger of two children, born to a couple in Incheon, South Korea. He grew up with an older sister, Tatiana, and with several pet dogs, as both his parents loved animals. When Mikey was three, the family moved to a town in Virginia, USA, where they've lived ever since.
Mikey's childhood was pretty normal, in all honesty—school, friends, bothering his older sister, that sort of thing. However, he's always been a troublemaker, usually on accident. He just likes to feel excitement, a "rush", and has a habit of doing things without thinking. Like, a lot. So Mikey often got into trouble as a kid based on his poor choices. His mother hated it, but Mkey never figured out how to avoid trouble, and at this point it's an expected part of him.
Wanting to be an idol was always in Mikey's mind. He loved kpop music, and had for a long time, so trying to be an idol seemed like a logical step to him. He didn't jump to being a trainee right away, though, instead going to a local technical school for an associate's degree focusing on music production.
He transferred to a university in Seoul at the beginning of the current academic year to finish a music degree, and started auditioning for entertainment companies soon after. He's glad JEM accepted him, as he loves the music their groups have put out so far, and he's since managed to find a home here.

so, hilariously, skye (babe to mikey) is mikey's best friend's twin. mikey and cass have been close since they were assigned roommates, and when skye joined the company, mikey got close to them too. and pretty quickly developed feelings for them. he waited for skye, though, not wanting to rush them or push them faster than they were ready for, and they started dating only a little while ago. mikey's pretty sure he's in love, though.
