Fifth chapter: The plan

"Shut up! I am serious"

"No, you're Regulus. I am Sirius"

"Just shut up! No one asked!"

"Ohh he pulled out the no-one-asked card! What can I do now?"

Days got boring. They started to be alike. We woke up, we ate breakfast, I went to read to my room, somone came to visit, that somone left, we ate dinner and we went to sleep. Every day identical. This lasted for a week before I had to speak up, so I did at dinner.

"This can't be our routine for the rest or our lives, we need change. So I have thought, what if we went on a journey to find the rest of the Horcuxes? Adventure! Isn't that what you always wanted at school? Come on! It's not good in any shape or form to sit here everyday waiting for a person after person to come and have a visit" I said. "No" Sirius said immedistely. "What do you mean no? Sirius, he's right! Someone has to do something, and we are the only ones who know what to do" James said. "It's too dangerous" Sirius said.

"Please. Sirius please. Please give me something now that I ask. Give it to me now. Now is the moment to listen to me. I know I sound selfish, but please" I begged. "No" Sirius declined.

James looked at Sirius with a questioning look. I sighed. "Fine, I'll go by myself then" I said. I stood up and looked at him. "Sit back down" Sirius said. "No, I'm going on an adventure now" I said. "Sit down" Sirius said. "No" I declined.

He stood up as well and before I could react, he ran to me and took my wrist squeezing it so tightly that it hurt. "Sirius... ouch.... that hurts..." I said. I looked at him. "Sit the fuck down" Sirius said, not letting go. I stood there. He squeezed tighter until my eyes were glimmering with tears. I finally slumped on the chair. He let go and walked back to his seat.

"That wasn't necessary" James said. I fixed my posture. "Who are you talking to?" Sirius asked. "To you, Sirius" James said. Sirius stayed silent.

"You're both right. It is the right thing to do, but it's also extremely dangerous" James said. I nodded, Sirius did not. "That's why we have to talk about it together, to decide whether we should go or not" James said. I nodded, Sirius did not.

"Where would we go?" Sirius asked, looking at me. "To Hogwarts" I said. "Oh my god, you're such a nerd going back to school" Sirius said. "Shut up! I'm serious!" I said. "No, you're Regulus, I am Sirius" Sirius said. "Just shut up! No one asked!" I said. "Ohh he pulled out the no-one-asked card! What can I do now?" Sirius said, in fake horror. "Sirius stop, he's trying to be smart. Let the child play" James said.

I stood up again and walked into my room. I started packing. What ever, they can be jerks by themselves. I'm going to Hogwarts.

I was about half way through packing when the door was opened. "Reggiee, we are sorryy, come back" I heard Sirius said. "No! Go ahead, you can be dickheads, but you have to do that alone, because I am going to Hogwarts!" I said.

"Reg, I am truly sorry. It was cruel to joke, when you were trying to make a plan to save us all" Sirius said. I sighed and stopped packing, turning to him. He walked to me and put his arms around me. I hugged him back. "Why do you always have to joke when we are talking about serious subjects?" I asked.

"To be honest, it's a way to self-comfort. Joking has always been somehow comforting to me. I did it already at a little kid after I had got beaten up. I'm sure you have your ways to self-comfort too, don't you?" he asked. I nodded. I read to escape reality.

"We're going to hogwarts" he said. I smiled. "Thank you" I said. "No problem, little brother. No problem."
