Chapter 3

The boat the Junkers stole was actually a kind of boat to have a cabin. You recognized it quickly, it was something you had studied before.

You stood on the edge of the boat looking at the ocean. You stared at your reflection in the water as waves hit the boat.

'To be honest some try to pretend you never existed.' Hana's words burned through your head. You gave a glare and sighed in frustration.

"Oh tell me ya not gettin' sea sick." Said a voice.  You looked to see Junkrat and waved a hand at him, "I don't get sea sick, just frustrated." You said. "Heh, why so frustrated?" Junkrat asked standing next to you. You glared and looked away, "I'd rather not say." You said. "Come on ya could tell me, ya are workin' with us now Sheila so we might as well get to knowin' each other." Junkrat said grinning. You looked at him before sighing, "I don't know, maybe I wish that people were more understanding of your problems, or why they do things, do you know what that's like?" You asked not looking at him but holding a saddened look. Junkrat stood there for a moment before he burst into laughter. You looked at him, confused and annoyed, "What's so funny?" You asked.

"Ya don't think that's how Roady and I feel?" Junkrat said wiping a fake tear away. You raised an eyebrow, "What do you mean?" You asked. Junkrat gave the same look, but still held his grin. "I'll answer that with a question? Ya think Roady and I purposely do things?" Junkrat asked. You blinked a couple of times, "Well, I would think so." You said. Junkrat shook his head, "Roady and I usually can't control what we do ta ourselves, the radiation, poisonin' us deeply, especially in our minds, makes us think differently, makes us do things, we can't help it, the toxic runs in us. People, especially suits, seem to not understand that Junkers like us just want what others want, we had somethin' taken from us, so Roady and I decided we take somethin' from society, trails our story across the world." Junkrat said. You looked at him with wide eyes, "So, you guys aren't actually, criminals?" You asked. "Yes and no, yeah we'll be blowin' buildin's and people, stealin' jewels and crud like that, but what can ya do when radiation poisons ya mind? Can't blame us for actin' risky now can ya?" Junkrat asked smiling. You stared at him before returning the smiled

"I guess I can't." You said.

Junkrat nodded, "So how did ya get into Overwatch if ya couldn't even pull a triggah on somebody?" He asked. You threw your hands up, "That's the thing I don't know! If they couldn't handle me then why couldn't they just not accept me.?" You asked mainly to yourself. You were surprised that you were having a casual conversation with Junkrat, you expected him to be, insane.

"Maybe ya just need a little push, Roady and I might not be the best examples..." Junkrat said. You shook your head quickly, "No, no, actually I find you two perfect examples." You said. You leaned on your hands while looking back at the ocean, "You two don't seem to hesitate on anything, well...I want to feel that too." You said. You stood there silently before you looked at Junkrat.

"What will the radiation do to me anyway?" You asked. Junkrat shrugged, "Depends on how much radiation ya get? Course I took a lot of radiation." He said. You nodded noticing how his hair would spark, like it was on fire. "Roady takes that weird inhaler, keeps him from goin' crazy but it's hard to know what goes on in his head, doesn't talk much, I let him be." Junkrat said. You again nodded, "How did you and Roadhog meet anyway?" You asked.

"Hm? Oh! I was bein' hunted by all sorts of people, met Roady while runnin', wanted ta use him as a body guard. He agreed, but we'd be splittin' 50/50. Though I may not know much, but I don't think ya can split evenly with three people." Junkrat said. You waved a hand at him, "Keep the 50/50, I just want to be more, stronger than I am now." You said. "Well then everyone wins!" Junkrat said with a grin. You couldn't help but chuckle. You looked over at the cabin as Roadhog entered inside, not seeming to pay attention to their conversation, "How close are you with Roadhog?" You asked.

Junkrat laughed, "Close? Oh Sheila where do I begin!" He said. Junkrat shook his head, "I know his real name, nationality, though the world seems to assume him as Australian like me." Junkrat said. You raised an eyebrow, "They assumed?" You asked. "Told me he was born in New Zealand, but he just took the idea of bein' an Australia, probably moved there at a young age I don't know I don't press his past." Junkrat said. You smiled sweetly, "That's nice, you seem to respect his personal life." You said. Junkrat shrugged, "We Junkers, we don't get much respect, we're kinda all we have left, we watch each other's backs, almost like the world's against us Junkers, can't trust anybody, we learned to not rely on anyone to help us." Junkrat said. You looked at Junkrat. He wasn't grinning anymore, he actually looked saddened, maybe a little confused and disappointed. He didn't even look at you, he watched the ocean closely as if lost in his own thoughts. You suddenly felt, sorry for him. An idea just popped on your head. "Hey." You said. Junkrat looked at you. You smiled at him, "Maybe, there's a chance for you Junkers, from what I'm learning, you guys can't control what you do, and you shouldn't be blamed for it, honestly the radiation is just, controlling your minds." You looked at the ocean to see your reflection, "You just need someone to tell the world how you Junkers really are." You said. Junkrat also looked at his reflection in the water. Junkrat chuckled, "We'll see how that goes." He said. You nodded.

"Ya know, maybe ya could be like us, a Junker, after the radiation, that's what ya might be considered." Junkrat said. He looked at you, "Ya sure ya want to do this Sheila?" He asked. You looked at Junkrat, "More than anything." You said. Junkrat nodded, "Ya know you can't back away from this." He said. You chuckled.

"I'm already too deep." You said.
