Chapter 11

You only wished this moment could last longer, but nice things don't last long do they? The moment was taken away when you heard coughing from the only authorities available, of course it had to be the Overwatch agents.

Reinhardt removed his shield, and Soldier 76 stepped forward, "(Y/N), you still have a choice to make." He said firmly. You couldn't help, but glare at the soldier, "I'm not giving these two up, they've done nothing, but good for me." Soldier 76 raised a finger, motioning around the fire, "Does this, look like 'good' to you?" Soldier 76 huffed.

"It's better than sitting in a balcony while the world moves like I wasn't just a damn agent before! And that's exactly what you did! Admit it! You were happy to see me gone!" You shouted, pointing a finger at the agents. Hana was the one who seemed taken aback by your words. She almost seemed hurt by them, and for a moment, you almost regretted your words. Almost.

"That, that's not true (Y/N), a lot of us missed you. Your energetic laughs, how you take risks to make sure missions were succeeded." Hana said.  You shook your head, "That wasn't enough I guess." You grumbled. Hana shook her head well, "We can take you back, please (Y/N) come back to us, we can end this 'mayhem' and call it a day." She pleaded.

"You've become stronger (Y/N), we can use that radiation you've consumed, learn to control it." Mercy added. Reinhardt nodded along with Mercy and Hana's words. You suddenly pressed your lips. Could you go back? Even after all this?

Junkrat wasn't starting to become annoyed with this conversation. They were trying to take his doll away, his Draco Doll. Junkrat stepped forward and wrapped an arm around you, almost protectively, "Save ya words Badges, she's with us now! And she's been burnin' brighter than you'll ever know." Junkrat sneered. You gazed up at Junkrat, smiling to him. Roadhog joined the other side of you, placing a hand on your shoulder, "She's not going anywhere."

That's right, you weren't going anywhere. Besides why would Overwatch take you back now? When you were discovered to be in fact alive, and better than ever.

The gears in your head turned slowly, and they were growing faster, until your mind gave a click. Your eyes darkened, teeth almost clenching, "You see me as a threat." You whispered. It was barely heard, but you didn't stop that, your voice grew the more words came out, "You want me back, because I can shoot someone, I possess these abilities. You never were going to take me back!" This anger, the Junkers were not new to this, back in Australia you had let your anger out, perhaps not all of it.

The sparks in your hair flickered and danced. Everyone near watched carefully, for all they knew, you could blow up, literally.

Hana opened her mouth to protest, but she closed it in defeat. Soldier 76 took his turn now, no more convincing, "If it's the Junkers you choose, you'll be arrested just like them, you know the three of you can't go against six Overwatch agents." You glared at Soldier 76, trying to come up with a plan to get you and the other two out of this mess. But he was right, with six Overwatch agents, four here and two more somewhere ready, you knew you'd stand no chance against them.

All you really could do is surrender, or try to escape, and only one of them would get them out safely. You knew you were going to hate this and so would your close Junkers. You looked up at the two, your eyes only apologizing to theirs. Their eyes answered back to yours, they knew too.

You deeply sighed, "Alright, we'll accept defeat, on some conditions though!" You quickly added. The four of them had open ears. You bit your bottom lip, "You'll have us as your agents, Junkrat and Roadhog can go through a rehabilitation, and no other authorities can be involved, only small check ups with certain people, and we require a sort of privacy." You said. You could tell Soldier 76 was raising an eyebrow, "That seems a lot for one surrender." You opened your mouth, but Roadhog was the one to speak, "We'll return the riches stolen." He said. Now Junkrat was the one who was going to protest, but something about how Roadhog stared him down made Junkrat keep his mouth shut.

You felt sorry for Junkrat, you felt like you took away something that was precious to him.

Soldier 76 glanced at the other three agents, silently discussing the terms before he looked back up, "Alright, conditions will be granted, better keep your word." Soldier 76 firmly said. You only nodded, followed by Junkrat and Roadhog.

The way to the Watchpoint: Gibraltar was rather awkward. None of your spoke to one another. The other agents were Genji and his brother Hanzo. You kept your eyes down, but you could feel a pair of eyes on you. When you glanced up, the eyes belonged to Hana. You couldn't look at them anymore.

You broke a promise to Hana, that you wouldn't change. But this change, it was good right? It was for the better anyway.

You leaned your head on Roadhog's arm while holding Junkrat's hand tightly. You were tired, and worried for what would come of the three of you. What agents knew of your fake death? How would they react when you enter that HQ? You wanted to stop worrying about it, but it always came back.

The way inside the HQ, you didn't wear any cuffs, but the other two did, and your weapons were taken away too. Your senses heightened, it felt strange being back, you left this place without looking back.

Agents walked by, some surprised to see you, others...not so much. You can't blame them, you've become a criminal just like the Junkers. It didn't matter whether or not you sat and watched, you let the Junkers destroy, and sometimes took part in it.

Soldier 76 was the agent who escorted you three to your rooms. Two bedrooms, one living and kitchen, and two separate bathrooms as well. Soldier 76 held up a keycard, "This is your key, remember our agreements." He said. You scoffed and snatched the key, "Great, now can you please take this damn cuffs off them?" You gestured to the cuffs on Junkrat and Roadhog. Soldier 76 took out a small device and pressed a button. Those cuffs disappeared instantly.

You and the Junkers walked inside, but Soldier 76 held your hand, holding you back. Your eyes met his through the visors he still wore. "(Y/N), tell me right now, what made you side with these two?" He asked. It didn't sound like a question, it sounded like a command. Typical. You pulled your arm away, "Those two gave me a chance no one else would. A new life, a new name, new abilities that gave me the chance to protect myself. Something Overwatch can't do." You said. You looked away at the door, "You turned your back on me, you all did, and you wonder why most of your agents do the same to you." The venom in your words really caught Soldier 76 off.

"What have those Junkers done to you." He said. You smiled holding up the key to the door, "They've made me into someone I've wanted to be for a long time, Jack." You said before unlocking the door and closing it, without letting the soldier say another word.

You sighed, your eyes up and finding the two people you've trusted from the beginning of your new journey.

Tears threatened to come out as you spoke, "I'm, I'm sorry, it was all I could think of to make sure you weren't taken away..." You began. "Hey, hey, it's okay Sheila, you've done what you can." Junkrat said. You shook your head, "Your riches, the hard work, and you've helped me so much and all I did was end your mayhem." You said. Roadhog grunted and placed a hand on your head, ruffling your hair. Roadhog and Junkrat had a moment of silence, like a quiet conversation was being said. They both nodded in agreement and Roadhog walked to the one bedroom room. Junkrat took your hand and led you to the other. Your eyes lowered, frowning deeply to yourself.

Junkrat closed the door and lifted your head up, "Now come on Doll it ain't so bad, at least you still have us." Junkrat said. You pressed your lips together, "But you two have never been caught before, and then I came and ruined everything..." Junkrat waved a hand, "Hey, it was bound to happen! Nothin' to stress about, we promise!" Junkrat's toothy grin did all the work to make your lips twitch to a smile.

You wiped the tears away, "Yeah, I guess you're right." "Aren't I always?" Junkrat asked, earning a playful shove. You chuckled softly and rubbed your arm, "Oh, hey Jamie?" Junkrat raised an eyebrow in reply. "What was that thing you were going to tell me? After all this fiasco?" You asked. Junkrat snapped his fingers, "That's right I did!" He said.

You noticed how Junkrat behaved differently from the way he tried to think about his wording, which only made you more curious as to what he was about to tell you. His face a little pink, and his fingers twitched.

"Well uh, ya see (Y/N), I was just thinkin', well both Roadie and I, but mostly me! We were wonderin' after all this mayhem, crazy stuff, maybe you'd want to come back to Australia..." Junkrat took your hands and rubbed them soothingly with a thumb. Your face started to burn staring at Junkrat, ushering him to go on. "There's this town called Junkertown, we live right outside of it, nice place once ya get ta know it and live it. But uh...ya willin' ta settle down there with us..with me?" Junkrat finished staring back at you. You blinked, and your smile grew, "I'd love that."

Junkrat grinned, it became more mischievous, his hands gripped yours and pulled you into him, "Also, I've been meanin' ta do this for a while!" Junkrat said pulling you up and placing his lips on yours. You could swear both of your guys' hair flickered from this kiss. You smiled into the kiss, placing your hands on his shoulders and melting into his embrace. You wanted to admit it you wanted this for a long time too, but you knew that Junkrat was already aware. Junkrat pulled away, a gasp escaping your lips when you felt his lips on your neck. You even felt his hands travel under the skirt of that dress you wore. Your hands gripped his shoulders firmly when you felt one of those hands travel under your underwear.

"Oh, Jamie.~"
