Brain and Heart

Deep breathes, deep breathes....Brian dressed up in his best blood cells and headed out his door.

He didn't know what he was going to do or what he wanted to accomplish but it was better than lying around at home doing nothing. And currently at the moment he figured he needed a break from being Vick's brain. After the recent bombshell that was just dropped he had to run for the fire extinguisher before he turned to mush.

Tony is Vick's brother....well, you don't see that happen everyday.

"Uuuurgh! I'm gonna have to fill so much paper work!" he groaned.

"Atleast you have it easy!" Vick's blood stream piped up in their squeaky voice. They were connected everywhere and flowing through everything. "Do you know the amount of blood we're pumping into this girl's heart!? She's lucky she's a bodiless consciousness or else all this blood would kill her!"

"Well, if she's a bodiless consciousness she doesn't really need blood now, does she?" he countered logically.

The bloodstream was quiet for a moment, "Why you gotta be such a smarty pants Brian" they hissed, and whizzed on their way.

"Oh gee, an organ hates me" Brian raised the visor of his black jacket and continued his walk, "Like that's something new and original to me"

Everybody hated the brain, he was the smart one, the logical one, the one who just 'can't let loose and have fun'. The brain was always viewed as the bad guy, the one who stopped everyone else for having a good time cause he had to analyze everything. They taunted him and called him Brian as a cruel joke which in truth just insults themselves, brain hadn't liked the name much but it inevitably stuck to him like dried rice cake to poop.

"Illiterate ingrates" Brian mumbled to himself, "I've saved and gotten them out of more messes then they can count" he grits out. But he takes a deep breath and continued walking.

He made sure he avoided the lungs and jumped over the rib cages. Where the hell am I going?

He stopped in surprised shock when he realized he reached his destination.

He's standing right on Hearts doorstep.

Why the hell am I here!? He shouldn't be here! It wasn't logical, it didn't make sense! He was standing right in front of Heart's cute little red cottage with heart shaped windows, red candy-caned roof, chocolate wood-work and a vivid green garden filled with anti-bodies, blood veins and fallopian-tubes. It had little white heart shaped cutouts pasted all over the door and windows that gave it the most home felt of feelings, it was like a sadistic cross between the Ginger bread house in Hansel and Gretel and the gross stuff that make up the human body.

That's Heart for you, always the visionary artist, came the sarcastic thought.

Brian turned to bolt from the spot but he couldn't walk more than two feet till he stopped himself. That's when he came to realize, it hurt him that she wasn't talking to him. He wanted to make things right and he hated this strain between them.

But what could he do? The one day he decided to let loose and go on a ride down the stomach fluid and go to the hippest club A.S.C (which stood for AssCrack) not only was it the day Vick went out with Deadpool and went up against Taskmaster and got seriously injured due to his absence he also for some reason pissed Heart off cause he happen to meet Glut and Max there.

Brian grins at the memory, who knew Glut and Max would both have big boobs and being the asses they had a lot of that too! They were really great on the dance floor and were nice conversationist -which in fact, is not a word.

They were nice, pretty and did not frustrate the hell out of him like Heart does. Heart was on another level of her own, she always got her way, made hella stupid mistakes but shrugs them off, has an endless well of positivity and she could not handle emotions well for the life of her. She can be rude, loud, rambunctious, rebellious and stubborn to a fault!

Yet you're standing on her doorstep right now, Brian was shocked at how he'd covered that distance without even knowing he did so.

Heart was a special case, she was truly something unique and special, and Brian understood and respected that...to a fault. He's often let her have her way, even when he shouldn't. Deep down, he secretly wished he could be like her...be her. It was no secret that Vick preferred and most often listened to her heart, especially where that stupid Johnny is concerned. Heart was the most carefree and had the easy part of the job, and worst of all, she was closer to a lot more organs then he, making her a fan favorite and most popular! Do people have any idea how lonely it gets up there!?

So it's settled, Brian decided that he'll have a nice civilized conversation with Heart, air out all his grievances and come to an understanding with her. I mean c'mon, hearts can be reasoned with right? Brian though hopefully.

He knocked on the door ever so politely and waited the required 3 seconds.

Nothing.

He knocked again.

And again...

And again...

Something felt wrong, and as the brain he should know. He tried the door handle and it turned with ease, not even putting up much of a fuss. Okay, now Brian had a trail of sweat going down his neck.

He gently opened the door, careful not to alert any intruders if there were ones. The house was dark, but he could still make out some shapes. Brian stretched out his arm to the right, reaching for the light switch he somehow knew was there and illuminated the room in a bask of white light.

Okay before we continue let gets one things straight here, he was the brain, he should be the chaotic messy one, and the heart was supposed to be the opposite. For some reason people always got that mixed up.

So image the surprise Brian got when he saw Heart's house in complete and utter anarchy! Couches were ripped wide up, tables were up turned, books torn in halve, glass were shattered all over the floor, pots and plants busted open, Brian didn't even wanna know what the red substance on the ground was and....did he smell fire!?

A small flame could be seen burning from the kitchen but it didn't look serious so Brian ignored it for now.

"What the hell happened here?" he couldn't help but say out loud. Brian doubted any other organ would come and do this much damage to the beloved Heart's house. If anything they'd only come to make out with her.

Although...Brian never did trust the Liver, he always saw that dude as a shifty guy...

"What are you doing here...?" came the petite feminine voice.

Brian jumped at attention and looked around for the voice. He's eyes landed to the far corner of the room, behind a table turned on its sides. He approached it cautiously and nearly screamed at the figure behind it.

There was Heart, lying on the floor in a red dress with tears all around it, her brown blonde hair a complete catastrophe, her mascara was running all over the place, and only one leg had on a white high heeled shoe on. She was clutching onto her body and shivering and twitching like maniacs do in an asylum.

"You've come to gloat and rub it in?" she says with a hint of venom in her voice.

At this point Brian was at a lost for what to do or say, he's never seen her in this state or form before....it was alittle terrifying for him.

"Harley what happened to you?" Brian asked.

"Dude I told you, my name is Laquishia" she says ironically, turning her head away from him.

Author's (very important) Note

So.....yeah, that just happened XD

You guys thought Vick was joking when she said the Brain and Heart could have a chapter to themselves. I've been planning this chapter for a while and it's nice to see it finally take form.

Now onto some real business.

On a real though, how was this chapter? Did you like it or does it distract from the overall story? Would you like to see more or do you never want to hear of this atrocity again? How did Brian and Harley (a.k.a Laquishia) work as overall characters? I just feel like after all the heavy stress that we need some form of light humor, and you guys really took a liking to the little Heart and Brain gag I had going on.

Please let me know in great detail in the comments section below.

Also onto another fact that relates to comments; I don't know how to say this but... I've recently not been replying to a lot of comments you guys make cause I think I read somewhere that that bugs or creeps out readers, is it true? I so want to conversate –also not a word– with a lot of you guys but not at the risk of scaring you off! I used to do it a lot, reply to every comment, but the more I did so the more those people commented less. So I left them alone and things began to pick up, but now I have a mass of new readers and I am at a complete loss of what to do.

I have a firm belief that author and reader should be close, like online besties. And for some kooky reason I feel like all of us are like a big, loving, dysfunctional family. From the Deadpool fanatics, to the Wolverine junkies, the Spidey fangirls to the Avengers fandom- We are all in this together (I swear I wasn't trying to make an HSM pun but I accidentally did XD)

So tell me, would you like us "to be one"*said in Mufasa's voice*

Or have me hovering around like a Jinn, you know I'm there but for everyone's sake you pretend I'm not so we can all live together in harmony. And no, I don't mean Jinn the drink, I mean Jinn the supernatural beings that...you know what? Look it up, or as our generation says, Google it. I'm getting goosebumps and chills just thinking about it.

So yeah that's all for now. Don't forget to slap that like (I accidently typed like cause I was watching YouTube vids all day XD) vote button to let me know you loved this chapter and also stop me from going on a homicidal rampage for those ghost reader.

And also comment below to let me know how you want things to go. (Triple rhyme points! I'm on fire!)

As you can guess I'm feeling extra silly and hyper today. And just like Brian I blame the liver...we don't trust him.... (-.-)

Signing out!

~Ya Gal Vicky<3
