Self-love.
It's promoted everywhere, on almost every social media platform, Wattpad, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Tumblr, even TikTok, and in real life too. But what is it really?
When I think of self-love, I think of cuddling up and doing your favourite thing, or hugging yourself, or smiling at yourself in the mirror. But those aren't the only ways to do it. There are many many ways to practice self-love. That's for a different chapter though!
When you're feeling down, or thinking negative and toxic thoughts, think about this: if your brain has the ability, the capacity, to think these horrible things, it also has the potential to think positive!
Loving your self is not being selfish, or a narcissist. It's not being arrogant either. It's recognizing who you are, and accepting what you can and can't do, and appreciating yourself.
You are important and worthy and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.
