**Next day

I woke up the next morning, hope I could get some time alone before the people from different realms come tonight. What I dreaded the most was Haldir, the other mean Orc like Legolas who wants to ruin my life.

Of course, he'll be here. He will be guiding the Lord and Lady of Lothlorien here and he is invited since he is a childhood friend of mine and Legolas. I rolled my eyes and changed into a beautiful navy blue gown with a metal belt around my waist.

As I was walking the halls of King Thranduil's kingdom eating an apple I ran into a maid, "My lady, your mother is calling you to get ready for the other realms to arrive." she said as she bowed. I rolled my eyes and said with sarcasm "Well.. you could kindly tell mother dear that I have all day that I could simply get ready last minute before they arrive." As I passed her. She just looked as if she was scared to deliver the message and she bowed again and said "Yes my Lady."

I didn't knew where I was going but I ended up at the stables. Hmm.. maybe I should go for a ride. I mounted my black horse without it's saddle and just ride him in the open grass, until I heard a whistle that caught my attention.

I looked over to where it came from and I saw Legolas on his chestnut horse. My eyebrows came together and I asked harshly "What are you doing here?" he chuckled and said "It is my home, and besides since you are on a horse want to come with me to take a ride on the borders of my home?"

Finally! Some adventure! I smiled halfheartedly trying not to show that I love his idea and said "Well, I am bored and have nothing to do." I galloped my horse and followed his lead.

Soon we were riding our hoses at the borders silently. "We know everything about each other, we've seen each other grow up, we've obeyed our parent's when they wanted us to see each other every summer. Why do they want us to get married? It's just something I can't obey." I broke the silence.

The sun shined brightly on us. He smiled as he looked at the distance which he usually does every time he's answering a question, he seldom looks into people's eyes because he doesn't want to invade into someone's personal space.

"Our parents are best friends since they were just a few hundred years old, but what I heard is that their parents did the same, they matched them up. My father was in love with your mother the first time he saw her but what happened is that when it was almost their wedding ceremony the night when they shall bond your mother was already bond to another and was pregnant with another man, that was your father. Yes! My father was heart broken but he didn't fade because your mother did not lead him on, she did not let him hope that she will be able to ever love him, but your mother helped my father through the grief and my mother was actually a good friend of your mother's and was suppose to marry another but the moment my mother and father saw each other they knew they were meant to be for they can feel it in their fea (soul)." he said.

"Wow! I never knew it that way." I said really pondering on his words. It was the first time where me and Legolas had an actual conversation, not fighting or planning anything just friendly talk with one another. "So I think that the only way to call off this arranged bonding or whatever is that you have to get pregnant with another." he said while smirking.

"WHAT! Not in a Eternity would that ever happen even if I was blessed with the powers or beauty of Lady Galadriel." I said while looking down, but I felt his hand lifted my chin so I could meet his eyes, "My dear friend, Anya. Lle naa vanima (You are beautiful)." As he smiled. I was blushing and for some reason my heart just fluttered.

I pushed his hand away from me and tried my best to hide my blush and said " Antolle ulua sulrim (Much wind pours from your mouth)." in Jest way. "Dolle naa lost (Your heads empty)." he said in a jesting way. I gasped while laughing. He galloped forward and said "If you want your revenge you have to catch me you filthy Goblin!" I chased after him on my horse.

We both were laughing and just riding around with our horses. Until we both stopped to catch our breaths from all the laughing. "I never thought I could have this much fun." I said, Legolas' eyebrows came together "What on Morgoth's balls do you mean?" he asked while still recovering from all the laughter.

I stopped laughing and said "Mother never agrees to this kind of activity, she says it's not lady like. The only times I really enjoy myself is when I'm doing archery without my mother's permission, she also disagrees with archery and climbing trees which she also disagrees with, but I never had so much fun with a companion because everyone knows I can't do this or that, that they never do anything with me."

Legolas looked at me and grabbed my hand and said "If we bind or not, I will show you what's adventure like traveling to Lothlorien or Gondor or the Glittering Caves." My eyes widen and I felt my heart flutter but I ignored it and tried to hide my blush and said "Fangorn Forest! I have always wanted to see and talk to an Ent. I hear they are more wise than any living Elf." His eyes shined with much interest and he said "Yeah, but I hear evil now lurks in the forest, but I would be gladly to escort you there."

We both smiled at each other having the time of our lives together even though I hated him with passion, but we both stopped as we heard bushes rustling and twigs snapping. He turned to me with concerned eyes and he shouted "ANYA! RUN TO THE PALACE--" but he was cut off as a huge ugly looking spider came out from the bushes.

Both of our horses stood up knocking us off our horses, I landed on my butt startled and shocked with what just happened and he landed gracefully on his feet, squatting.

I didn't bring any weapon, my heart was racing as I saw the menacing eyes of the huge spider. Legolas then got two daggers from his boot and he shouted "ANYA! RUN TO THE PALACE WHILE I'LL HOLD HIM OFF." But I couldn't move, I didn't know that adventure would be this scary.

I backed up against a tree, watching as Legolas fight with the spider. I was scared, yes! I could fight against Legolas or faced the wrath of King Thraduil and my mother, but sadly I wasn't brave enough. I was still a young elleth.

I slowly stood up hoping to get to my horse and run off, but as I searched for my horse they all ran off. Legolas soon stabbed the spider and it fell.

But with out hearing senses there was more coming. Soon Legolas ran to me took my hand and we ran back into the forest. On horse we were near the palace, but on foot we were half a day away from it.

As we were running there was a small cliff, we both stopped right before we fell. Legolas looked down but it was too high to jump, but as we turned around there was about ten spiders coming towards us. My heart jumped to my throat without thinking I grabbed Legolas' hand and squeezed it knowing that I was ready to jump when he is. He looked at me with the corner of his eye and without any warning he took me into his arms covering me from anything and we both jumped.

It felt just like the time when me and him fell from the broken bridge, but this time we both hit the ground violently. I felt my ribs with pain and my vision started to blur, but it was Legolas who took most of the pain, for his back was the one that hit the ground and I was on top of him.

Soon everything blacked out. Was I dead? Did the spiders came to eat us?

I woke up with a massive headache. As I could see clearly I saw Legolas close to me with a fire and I was covered with his cloak and it was already night.

I sat up and he looked at me and asked "How are you feeling?" I tried to stand up but I lost my balance but he caught me before I could fall. "We took a very hard fall, but we'll be fine. The spiders won't come here. This is the border that keeps them away, I think our parents sent guards to find us." he said "What about you? I was on top of you when we fell?" I asked while blushing it hurt when I tried to hide it.

He did his half smile and said "I am a warrior. It is nothing for me. We both landed in a small stream. We both took scratches and bruises, but we'll be fine. You went unconscious I think because your head was on my shoulder." he sat me near the fire and wrapped the cloak around me.

My dress was torn and my hair was mess but so was he. "Legolas, thank you." I said as I smiled at him. He smiled back, maybe Legolas wasn't so bad after all. He cared about if I was safe. Was I falling for him? I shook my head, WHAT IN ERU'S NAME WAS I TALKING ABOUT.

I can't fall in love with Legolas, he is my childhood enemy, but... maybe he could be a good friend of mine.

"I expected that this would happen." he said while looking at the ground, that's when all the positive things about Legolas dropped. "What! YOU KNEW THIS WAS GONNA HAPPEN STILL YOU TAKE ME HERE!!" I yelled at him as I stood up towering over him.

"I meant it was possible for it to happen." he said, which still made me mad. He brought me here knowing it was dangerous. "Maybe, you wanted to kill me and just pretend it was an accident." I said pointing at him but he stood up towering over me since he was way taller than me.

"I would never do such a thing!" he said with anger rising. "Or maybe you wanted to seem like you were the hero so I could fall in love, but you're wrong! I would never love a selfish, arrogant, and dumb elf like you so... AUTA MIQULA ORQU!" I yelled even louder. His eyes widen and He shouted "Well.. even if that happen no matter what you do or say no one would ever love you, you can never reach your dream as an archer if you do, you'll pass away just like your father!" that's when I have had enough.

I shrugged his cloak off my shoulders and walked away,

Tears were now streaming in my eyes, to think that I could ever fall in love with him and feel the love in return.
