Author's Note: WARNING some of this part will not go by the movie or book, and if some are you are wondering if Haldir will die. No, he will not die.

It has already been a year and the only news we got from Legolas was when he was in Lothlorien, but that was months ago. I was growing more worried and more in love as each day passes by.

All that was left of him is the necklace that Legolas left in my room with a note saying,

I'll come back for you. Take this necklace as a symbol of my love.

Sometimes at night I would have to sing or cry myself to sleep because at times I would feel sad for no reason. My mother and King Thranduil took notice but they think it is just because of the war and darkness, yes! it is also about that but mostly because of Legolas who is out there fighting it.

My heart was so tired of waiting and waiting. Every morning I would go to King Thranduil and ask if there is any news and there was one time he got so fed up that he told me to not see him for a week but after a week I came back and bothered him again but this time he just laughed at me and lectured me about being patient.

One night when everything was quiet and we were all eating dinner but it was just me, my mother and King Thranduil. They were both eating their food in silence but I was just playing with my food.

Thinking that what if I went to Gondor and aid the people there, would I be even of help there? Would anybody here let me fight? Would I even dare?

Before I did anything I thought long and hard, if I loved Legolas as much as I thought then I would go at the ends of the world for him. I am good with a bow and as good with a sword. I am also one of the fastest riders in Mirkwood. Why not?

I got so annoyed and fed up with the silence around me and my mother and the King just sit here behind a wall with guards around us protecting us, dying for us. Even our Prince was out there fighting for us and might even die for us.

The thought of Legolas dying, of him lying on the ground lifeless made me tremble and heart broken. I just couldn't let Legolas die because I stayed behind this fortress that we so call home, my home is where Legolas were and I have had enough of this waiting.

I stood up from the table and slammed my fists on the table "I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!" I shouted making the king and my mother look at me with surprised eyes. "What on earth can't you take Anya. Now sit down and act like a lady." my mother scolded me. "HOW CAN YOU SERIOUSLY ACT LIKE A LADY NOW WHEN THERE IS WAR BEFORE US?" I shouted again, looking at both of them.

"A hero shall save us darling, and our hero right now is Legolas." my mother said calmly as she took a sip from her wine making me more furious. "WELL I'm NOT GONNA STAY HERE AND WAIT!! I AM GOING TO WAR WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!!" I shouted as I stormed out of the dinning room and into my room to change into light armor.

I could hear my name being called by my mother and king Thranduil, but I ignored their calls, this time I'm not following orders I'm following my heart.

Soon as I expected my mother and King Thranduil came bursting into my room. "Have you lost your mind daughter? You could get yourself killed." my mother shrieked. I ignored her as I inspect my bow and Sword. "ANYA! What makes you want to go out there? You are no hero." she shouted, I turned to face her. Yup! looked down on her and hissed "What makes me want to go out there? Legolas. Naneth... I love Legolas and if I don't go after him I might as die here out of grief. I made the biggest mistake by not marrying Legolas but now I want to not regret not going after him."

I passed my mother and went straight to the stables, but I heard King Thranduil say "Don't go after her, She is right either way she will die here." I quickly got a helmet from the armor room and wore it hiding my hair so no one will see that I am a girl and no one will recognize me.

As I turned around to get my horse ready, King Thranduil was standing at the entrance of the door. I simply passed him and said "No matter what you say or do, I will not change my mind." but he just simply said "I know."

I turned around from my horse and looked at him, he just smiled and said "You have the spirit of my wife, that's one of the reason why I agreed that you'll marry Legolas. Even though the wedding was cancelled. I knew one of you will speak that you both want to get married." I smiled and said "Thank you."

"Just please come back in one piece! It is too much for Legolas to lose his mother and I don't know if he'll ever survive losing the one he truly loves." he said, as I mounted my horse I asked "How do you know that he loves me?"

He chuckled and said "Ever since he was little, even though you both were always fighting when you're gone he would always ask when he is going to see you or when are we gonna visit you. He would just train and practice when you are not here but when you are here he is like what he is usually when you are around." "I will come back my lord, and I will bring Legolas back home." I said, he just smiled then I galloped my way to Gondor, even though I have never been there I had a map that my father once used.

Finally I came to Gondor, I was expecting at least a lot of people getting ready for battle but instead I saw Orcs and men at battle already and Mumakils with Orcs in some kind of baskets. It was a nightmare to look upon.

My heart was beating fast. I suddenly felt afraid that I might die before I could even see Legolas. But whats even worse is fighting and finding Legolas already dead.

I swallowed hard then started galloping to the battle as fast as I can shouting, "Gurth goth rim lye!!" (Death to our foes) and as Orcs could hear me they started marching towards me then I sent a quick prayer to Eru.

As I opened my eyes I quickly stood on my horse, feeling many human's eyes on me and Orcs. I quickly jump and kicked an Orcs head knocking him out and slicing the one that came beside me. I quickly got my bow out and started shooting the ones that tried coming near me.

I started making my way through the battle, just then I saw a Mumakil, I swallowed my fear and started climbing the Mumakil with the arrows sticking out of its body. as I tried to take a hold of the strap that holds the carriage to the Mumakil it just suddenly slide off the animals body. I quickly got my two daggers that were in my boots and made my way up as fast as I could as I got up, there was a person fighting the supposedly driver of the Mumakil but as the person killed the driver I quickly looked close and saw that it was Legolas.

He looked at me obviously not recognizing me. But I decided not tell him it was me. "When I shoot the Mumakil down, make sure you get on the ground safely." he said as he went to the head of the mumakil and got three arrows. I was prepared to slide down the Mumakils tooth thing, as he shot down the Mumakil it was about to hit the ground but I slide down and did a front flip and landed gracefully on the ground and Legolas slide down its trunk just stood there like nothing happen more graceful than mine and I thought 'show off!'

Then I could hear a dwarf that looked like Legolas' companion "That still counts as one." he shouted, I tried my best to hold my laughter but Legolas noticed that I landed on the ground gracefully. He turned to me and asked "Are you an elf?"

My heart started to pound fiercely, I didn't want Legolas to know just yet. I quickly look around to see if I could do anything to distract him but then there was a loud scream I looked up and saw a Nazgul riding on its dragon. The idea in my head sounded crazy but it was the only distraction. Legolas then said "You're an elleth." he started to walk towards me but before he could pull my helmet off, I quickly ran as one of the dragons swooped by and grabbed a man off the ground, I quickly got my daggers out and stabbed both my daggers into the dragon bringing my body up in the air with the dragon.

'I'm totally screwed.' I thought. I heard Legolas at the ground saying to Gimli "Stay with that person that flew in the air with the Nazgul, that person is a she elf." I swung my body so I could be standing on the dragon's butt.

As I was standing on the dragon's butt keeping my balance, I looked at the Nazgul and as I saw the Nazgul I quickly regretted my decision because the Nazgul wasn't just any Nazgul it was actually the Witch King.

'May Elbereth protect me' I prayed hoping it was enough to keep me alive. I got my sword out and plunged my sword into the dragon's back making it scream, then next thing I know we were falling out the sky. As it crashed I fell on my back on the ground hard.

Even though I stabbed the dragon from behind, it was still alive and it knocked down hard on a man, a man who I think to be is king since his armor was different. "Feast on his flesh." the witch king hissed. Then I saw a warrior stand in front of the man and said "I will kill you if you touch him." but then I could sense that it was a woman. I quickly got up and stood beside her, she quickly looked at me and we had an understanding to work together.

"Don't come between the Nazgul and his prey." the witch king hissed again. Then the dragon snarled at us. As it tried to attack us and capture us with his teeth, we both moved as fast as we could out of the way, she was on the other side and I was on the other side. I quickly swung my sword at its neck but it didn't cut its whole neck then the girl's sword joined my sword and together our swords cut the dragon's neck off.

The dragon then fell along with the witch King but sadly the witch king is still alive. The girl quickly grabbed a shield and she said "Eowyn." meaning it was her name. "Anastasia." I said, she quickly looked at me and said "Legolas' Anastasia?" I looked at her in surprise but we had no time to talk about it, the witch King was up and facing both of us. I could hear Eowyn's heart beat fast and I could hear my own too.

It was my first battle and war and I was already facing the highest rank. Damn! My life is exciting. Once the Witch King was facing us fully it looked scary as Morgoth or Sauron himself. Because in one of his hands he had a flail with spikes on them and on the other hand was a sharp and big sword.

The witch king took his first strike which was right between us and we both thought quickly and moved away, then the witch King swung his flail around and Eowyn quickly said "Duck." and we both ducked as it swung above our heads. He strike again but this time it almost hit Eowyn but she jumped and landed on me making me take her in my arms and move away from the flail.

The witch king swung his flail again in the air and I pushed Eowyn to the ground and we both stood up again. and I could tell the witch king was getting annoyed because it screamed loudly at us. In the distance, in the corner of my eye I could see Legolas and his dwarf friend fighting to where me and Eowyn are. Obviously Legolas is curious of who I am.

The witch King strikes but it hit Eowyn's sword and I almost had a heart attack. It swung again this time and we both duck but we both didn't see that it swung the next time and the flail hit Eowyn's shield making it shatter into pieces.

Eowyn fell back near to the man that was suppose to be the Nazgul's bait, and I could tell Eowyn hurt her arm. I went over to Eowyn and made sure she was alright, "Behind y--" before she could finish the witch King's armored hard hands was on my throat lifting me up and I was choking. And I thought to myself 'I guess I will never get to marry the one I truly love, Legolas'

The Witch King hissed "You fool! No man can kill me.. Die now!" I was expecting the worse but all of a sudden Eowyn was at the back of the Witch King and stabbed the witch king with one of my small daggers and the witch King dropped me and fell on his knees. Eowyn cried out in pain as if her hand was on fire because her hand was smoking and she fell on her back.

I quickly stood up and in the corner of my eye I saw Legolas and his dwarf friend just arrived as they watched Eowyn fall back and what I am about to do.

I was right in front of a kneeling witch King. I got my sword ready and took off my helmet, hearing a few gasps especially Legolas' and said "I am no man." Gave out a battle cry and plunged my sword right into the witch King's face.

A force came from the witch King's face and it made my sword fly a few meters away. The witch King then crumbled into one big metal ball on the ground and I fell as well.

"Anya." Legolas cried as he ran quickly to my side, he picked up my head and asked "What are you doing here?" I could see he was happy but sad and angry. He had every right to be. I smiled and said "I can't wait on the sidelines and watch you be the hero, I needed to be hero also." he hugged me and said "Melamin! Lle naa belegohtar! You could've died. Don't you know how precious you are to me?" he asked as he pulled away and looked into my eyes.

"Uuma dela, Usquener. Cuamin linduva yassen megrille." (Don't worry, Smelly one. My bow shall sing with your sword.) I said as I put my hand on his cheek. He smiled as a tear ran down his face, "Amin mela lle Anya." he said, his voice ran through my ears like birds singing. "Amin mela lle Legolas Thranduillion." I said. (Amin mela lle-I love you)

We were inside the palace and I had bandages around my neck because the Witch King's left marks and a few cuts around my neck when he grabbed me. I then asked the healer "Where is the fellowship?" "They are in the throne room, but please do change." the healer said, I quickly took a quick bath and changed into a white cloth underneath with brown armor on my arms and a gold light armor.

Went down to the throne room as they were about to leave, "Where are we going?" I asked, all eyes were on me. "No! You are staying." Legolas said. "And why? I have every right to fight! I didn't travel this far to stay behind protected walls again!" I snapped back. "She even defeated the witch King might as well bring her along." the dwarf said, and I smiled at him.

"Yeah! We are going, and she has more experience than us." a hobbit said. I smiled even more, Legolas rolled his eyes and sighed. "There's no arguing when it's you. Ok! Just stay by my side." he said, I kissed his cheek and everyone's eyes grew wide and Legolas said "Everybody this is Anastasia, my soon to be wife." making my heart do flips and stunts.
