"I have a secret, my long dream was to fight side by side with you." Legolas said as he rode his steed next to mine. "And you tried to keep me back?" I asked, he looked at me sheepishly. Then I hit him with the back of my hand on his head. I heard laughter's from behind especially Gimli's.

"At least we know what's the prince's weakness." Gimli said from behind Legolas, and Legolas just scowled at him. I laughed. "Who sent you here anyway Anya?" Merry asked, I smiled and said "Nobody, This is my idea!" Legolas looked at me and asked "You didn't asked your mother?" "I did, she didn't agree but your father agreed." I said and then Legolas was silent.

We were marching to the gates of Mordor. Whoever thought that I would go to battle to face this Sauron guy? But I still tremble at the thought of Sauron. He is the scariest legend in all of Middle Earth.

Soon the gates of Mordor were in sight and my heart skipped a beat. I couldn't believe that I was actually here. Then I felt a hand cover my trembling hand. I looked at Legolas and he gave me a look saying 'Everything is gonna be alright'

I wasn't afraid of death, I was afraid of losing the battle and see the darkness and evil spreading and taking control over Middle Earth, I was afraid of losing Legolas. Then soon Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli and a banner warrior went up to the gates of Mordor. I wanted to stay on Legolas' side but it wasn't my spot.

As they came back Legolas grabbed my hand and said "I promise you nothing will happen to either of us, just please stay by my side and don't wander into someone else battle." I smiled and with that moment, he gave me a tender sweet kiss. I wanted that moment to just freeze but sadly he pulled away but he gave me something in his hand and slipped in on my finger.

I looked at Legolas in shocked, "I was gonna ask you the day I get back but since you are here, why not?" he asked. I smiled as I felt very happy. "Yes!" I shouted as I wrapped my arms around his neck. Then we both heard someone cleared their throat behind us, we looked and saw Gimli. "We have a battle here, we could get all lovey dove after the battle." Gimli said.

Then Aragorn was giving a speech so he could motivate everyone. I was so caught in my own thoughts. Wondering what would have been if Legolas' and my wedding weren't called off, or what if we got along when we were younger and have knew our feelings from before, and what if we would fall in this battle?

I closed my eyes and fought the tears that were threatening to spill. Suddenly everyone dismounted their horses, I did the same. Then Aragorn started to charge and so did the hobbits, time was slowing down and I looked at Legolas and he nodded his head, then me and Legolas started running and shouting. I soon was battling side by side with Legolas.

Obviously he and Gimli were having a game who kills the most still. I was enjoying slicing and stabbing Orcs. I was so busy killing Orcs as I looked beside me Legolas was no where to be found. My blood ran cold and I wanted to shout his name, but shouting his name over this battle was impossible. I started fighting my way through some Orcs trying my best to find Legolas.

All of a sudden an Orc cut right on my right shoulder and also cutting the chain of my necklace. It fell a few meters away from me, I fell to the ground clutching my shoulder that was bleeding non-stop.

I tried my best to reach my pendant, the one that Legolas gave me,

The symbol of his love was out of my reach, my heart was beating fast as a few Orcs didn't notice my squirming body, but then one Orc noticed me and my eyes widen. He was about to stab me from where I lay. I thought quickly and rolled to my other side quickly grabbed my pendant and threw one of my daggers from my boot.

I stood up trying to find anybody I recognize, but then in the distant I saw Legolas and Gimli fighting a troll. I draw my bow and shot the head of the troll making it fall to the ground, Legolas was again at my side and he said "You are hurt." "I am fine." I replied, but then the Nazguls and its dragons came out but the eagles also came out but the bad part was a Nazgul fell off and landed right in front of me and Legolas.

Legolas put me behind him, the Nazgul then looked at me and hissed "You killed our king." I smiled and said "It was a pleasure." Legolas pushed me way behind him, but as the Nazgul got his sword out and started fighting us, we started to block all of his blows, trying to stay alive, but all of a sudden the Nazgul knocked Legolas' daggers out of his hands. My blood ran cold again and I knew what was gonna happen, unless...

I quickly ran in front of Legolas wrapped my arms around his neck for the last time and pressed my lips against his.... for the last time.

Then I felt a stinging and most painful sensation in the back going to my stomach, the Nazgul's blade was right into my stomach and Legolas shouted "ANYA!" my vision was getting blurry but soon the Nazgul fell because the Tower of Sauron fell that was when tears filled my eyes.

I fell to the ground but in the arms of Legolas' and I could feel his tears falling on my face, "Anya... please don't leave me." he said as he put one hand on my cheek. Time right there stopped, pictures and moments of me and Legolas flashed through my head like a slideshow, I was sad I was to go and scared at the same time but I smiled and said with my last breath "Don't fade, we will meet again. Amin mela lle Legolas Thranduilion." i tried to believe my own words and with that I fell into complete pure darkness.

Legolas' POV

It's been a few days since the Battle at Mordor's gates but it was also the death day of the one I love... Anastasia.

My heart grieved like it never had grieved before. I knew that I was gonna fade, in my hands was the pendant that I made for Anya. She had it in her hands all through this battle. I thought it was my fault why she died like this.

Then I felt a hand on my shoulder, I looked up and saw Lady Galadriel. I tried my best to smile, "Do not fade to grief young one, or you'll never see her again." Lady Galadriel said in her most clear and soothing voice. "What do you mean my lady?" I asked, she smiled and said "She has not yet accomplish her duty here in Middle Earth, she shall be reborn again."

I smiled and jumped in victory. "I can't wait!!" I shouted, "It will take thousands of Years Legolas." she said as she disappeared behind the door, I looked to the ground and clutched the pendant in my hand and whispered

"I will wait for her even if it takes forever."
