I like to call this the two awkward strangers paradox:

Two awkward strangers have to work together. This goes one of two ways.

1. One of the awkward strangers feels less awkward because the other stranger is more awkward.

2. Both of them are way too awkward together and barely communicate at all.

You can never tell what's going to happen, and sometimes both of them can happen to the exact same people.
