My plan to escape vampire compulsion in this universe was a colossal failure. Turns out Stefan hadn't gifted it to Elena yet. He would gift her long after Logan dies as a vampire and immediately after Elena comes back from her trip to Georgia in the show. My memory had deceived me. It had been some time since I watched TVD before I came to this universe. Really, it is hard to remember every little detail. My internal musing came to a halt as Jenna called me.

"Logan. Logan! Are you there?" She called as well as almost shouted which made me come out of my zoned out state.

"Yes. Jenna. I'm here." I replied.

The lack of Vervain on Jenna forced me to change my plan. Now that I think of it, just calling Sheila Bennett without showing up face to face may not work. I had to meet her in person. But with the threat of Damon hanging around my neck, leaving the Fell house is extremely risky. So, I asked Jenna to come to my place.(Technically Logan's place but what's the difference? I'm in the guy's body)

I had to know what was the cover up story that the town council had cooked up. This would enable me to find out how much risk I have from Damon. So, I did the most sensible thing and searched for the day's newspaper in the internet. There was not even a single mention of Logan Fell in the newspaper.

Then I checked Logan's email where there was a mail from WPKW9 in the inbox. The contents of the mail simply said that I have been given casual leave for a month as I had applied for it previously saying I would be out of town. Ok. Out of Town? This might keep Damon off my tracks for some days. This was good. He would ideally think Logan's death has been covered up.

When my research session ended, Jenna was here in her mini cooper. But oh no, she was with Elena. This was bad. Elena surely will inform Stefan. Or else they might be in a temporary breakup. All I knew was Elena being with Jenna was bad news. Me being alive will easily reach Damon through her.

I hid my fear and greeted both of them with a smile.

"Hi Jenna! Elena! It's so good to see you." I obviously lied about feeling good about seeing Elena. Unlike many people, I don't hate Elena. I have actually been on an adventure with Elena in the Buffyverse already. It's just that the situation was not suitable at the moment.

"Logan. You scumbag! Good to see you too" Jenna sassed again.

"Yes Logan. Goood to see you tooo" Elena said that with a groan or similar to a groan. I couldn't fix her intention. I'm not a mind reader! But there was something fishy.

"Elena I asked you to put in a good word for me remember? Why is Jenna calling me a scumbag?" I tried to break ice with her but obviously Elena was stiff.

She had this expression of suspicion written all over her face. She will surely catch up to me. "Yeah. Logan. I did. That is why Jenna is here to see you and I am here along with her." She smiled but it was not a normal one. It was a bit awkward and tense.

"When was this?" Jenna who was clearly out of the loop by this point got confused.

"Well, Elena wanted to research on Vampires" shit! shit! shit! I so did not have to do that. My tension is showing and this was beyond bad. Elena's eyes widened at my remark.

"Vampires?! Really?" Jenna meanwhile was laughing hysterically at this point.

"No! Jenna. Not really. Elena was by my news station to check some archive footage. I really hope she got what she wanted." I quickly recovered from my screw up. But Elena was still onto me. I could feel it.

Before anything, I changed the topic. "So Jenna. Can you take me to Sheila Bennett's house? I need to talk with her regarding the job profile of being an occult lecturer in Whitmore"

"Yes Logan. Let's go" Jenna was now off towards her car.

Elena just gave me a look which said 'What are you up to?'.

I wore sunglasses and a cap along with the dress I already had on which was a white shirt and a brown pant and was off with Jenna towards the Bennett's residence. Jenna just teased me all way while me and Elena were on an awkward silence for the entire drive. While the drive actually took just 10 mins, it felt like an hour.

I just waved them off and stood at the front of Sheila's house. I had to cut off the conversation with Elena at the Fell's house before it snowballed into something else. Now considering that by the end of the day, Damon would surely be on to me, even the Fell house might not be enough protection. Showing up at Sheila's house is the best course of action I have as of now. Finally, Sheila opened the door and relieved my mind which was going crazy.

"Hello Professor Bennett" I said that with my most earnest smile.

"Hello Logan. Nice to see you too" Sheila being the ever polite one greeted me back.

"I need to talk with you about becoming an occult lecturer in Whitmore. I heard you were back in town. So, it is also more about welcoming you to our town" I continued my lie which I told to Jenna with Sheila as well because vampires have supernatural hearing and will be on to me if I say something suspicious.

She gave me a suspicious look but allowed me to enter the house. All I had left to do was tell her my entire story of how I landed up in TVD universe and had to get her help in going home. This is going to be fun.

A/N: This chapter kind of went out of my hands. I originally had no plan of introducing Elena in this chapter. But I hope you guys liked it. Next chapter is obviously when my Self-Insert/OC tries to present his case and get help from Sheila. The adventure has only just begun. My promise of apocalyptic scale will come soon enough.
