I kept running, clutching my long rugged brown dress into one hand and whooshed through the forest, passing through the dense trees and their spiky stems. My long hair were swept back from my face and the chilly air kept striking my face hard, making it numb in response. I heard the roar of the tiger far behind me and a scream escaped my mouth, my body was dripping in sweat but I didn't stop, I kept running- to find him.

'You'll have to find him, or you'll die alone'

I kept enchanting the mantra which my woo-doo best friend gave me. Find the guy or die alone- that's what she had said, I took bouncy steps on the sand and paced higher towards my man.

I kept running, sweeping the tree branches aside, and pushing my feet into the muddy forest floor. My eyes kept measuring the length of the path and tall trees.

'I'm here!'

Suddenly, I heard a manly-sexy voice yelling out those words to me, and I ran, I ran like hell to get to my future husband.

'I don't wanna die alone!' my thoughts brimmed my brain to ecstasy and I ran with a huge glee spread across my lips.

I've found my man, the thoughts emerged. My heart got jumpy with adrenaline rushing out of my brain.

'For so long I've waited for you' the guy kept saying all those manly-sexy-sweaty things to lure me to himself, as if I needed that.

I ran while the sand mingled with the ends of my umbrella dress, just like my lips and the lipstick.

Wait, what?

'Stop it Larissa' I heard the guy shouting those words to me, I concentrated harder on what else was he saying but got nothing as the air deafened by ears.

'Stop it!'

And slowly his voice transformed into an angry female's voice which sounded just like my BFF Ryla, and the next thing I remember was coughing out water from every hole of my body.

Okay, fine. Not that hole!

"What the fuck Rel!" I spat disbelieved and moved my face outside the car's window.

Did she just pour a whole mug of chilled water all over my face?!

The beautiful chilly air gushed over my body, travelled through my ears to my entire body. My face felt icy cold as the air kept fanning my already wet face.

"Why would you do such an evil thing?" I pulled inside my entire body, picking the tissues out of the tissue holder, I swept my face clean and looked her way again.

My best-friend Ryla. Rel for me. Fair, a mix of western and Indian. She has lived outside India for her whole life until, for some reason she decided to join my school in India, in 11th standard.

I was stupefied! I won't lie. Why would she want to leave her crazy ass school life for my school life?

Then she told me that she was sick of her elder brother and wanted to just go away.

Understood, I had said.

"You were doing that thing again!" I heard her angry voice, back in the car

"What thing?" I asked, though I already knew what she was talking about.

Me and my man.

No scratch that!

Me and my perfect man together, for ever and ever.

"You know what thing L."

She took a deep turn on the twisted, forest covered roads making me slip off from the seat. Once I got settled back, I looked out on the road.

From as far as I could see, there were long strips of roads covered with trees- deep green shade of trees, on either side. The place was perfectly perfect. I could feel the clean air pumping my lungs and the beautiful air blowing my hair.

I was already in love with the place that she was driving me to. Her home!

Her home is across the seven oceans from mine.

Okay fine, that's just an elaboration. What I mean to say is- her home is like really, really far away from mine.

We landed approx. two hours before now, and she, my great psychotic friend, decided to drive her car all the way to her home all by herself.

Her driver like a stupid moron, followed her orders and left the car alone!

Alone. Can you believe it?

Whatever. I can't.

"You were smiling like anything" she continued speaking while I looked around the greenery and was just happy to be sitting right next to my best friend.

So basically, we've been best friends for 2 years now. When she had come to India for her studies, she stayed at my home. Our parents knew each other back when they were young. What a small world! We went to high school together and now, it's me who is going to her home for our college.

We went nuts when both of ours acceptance letter came from the same college. Her home is in Lumita- a small town somewhere in the world which is really, really far away from my home.

See? I told ya before.

"I have told you before! I have this freaky woo-doo best friend who comes in my dream, and says all kind of naughty things to me about my man. She really cares for me, you know?"

She shot a look at that, but looked back on the road. The roads were so smooth and clean, it felt like the car was just gliding onto it. Effortlessly.

"When are we going to be at your home? It's been forever" I tried to sound frustrated while in reality I wasn't a bit.

That amazing fresh air, the rush of excitement and the feeling of having her beside me was all perfect.

"Just a bit longer" she flashed a grin at me and I couldn't control but hug her

"I'm so excited!"

She laughed back at that, "Me too!"

God! In some minutes I'm going to be at her crazy ass, gigantic house. I've seen the pictures, of course! She is crazy rich and it's just her and her big brother in the house.

Rel has already warned me about her brother. About how big a jerk he is!

How could he piss her off so much that she decided to leave him?

"L, I hope you remember what I had said?" her voice suddenly sounded serious

I looked her way, and smiled, "I remember. Five- feet apart from your big brother"

She nodded, while her eyes remained on the road. "I mean it. He's just a no-no zone"

"Got it Rel! I won't come near him"

"Good. He may look innocent and that's a big MAY, but he isn't"

I nodded, and thought about all those days when I asked her to show me his picture. She never did!

I even stalked her social media, but she hasn't posted anything with him ever.

Weird.

We both remained silent after that, and then suddenly, our current favourite song 'Bad Guy' started on the Radio.

We laughed and sung the song lyrics- both us were clearly some pathetic singers'

'So you're a tough guy, like it really rough guy

Just can't get enough guy, chest always so puffed guy

I'm the bad type, make your mama sad type, might seduce your dad type'

We kept humming it together, and sync the title line - 'I'm the bad guy!'

We laughed and finally she made a deep turn on which I could see various house like villas!

They were insanely big, with the front covered by grasses.

She kept driving further, and I could see cars driving on our sides. Well, there were bicycles mostly, and people on their foot. It was the morning time and there were lots of blonds and brunnetes jogging or cycling on the road.

"This place is amazing"

She laughed and said, "Just a starter baby"

I was hell of a lot excited, I was literally jumping on my seat, on looking at the place and thinking I am going to be here at least for three years, if not more.

And finally she paused the car, and stood in front of a black door. She honked the car, and the door got opened just a moment later.

She drove inside silently, after saying a long Hi to her security guard. She drove the car inside and OMGee, a big white villa stood right in front us. There was a big garden just in the front, and on the house, there were mostly windows that occupied the outer structure.

She kept driving on the carved path and parked the car right outside the house.

"Ready?" she asked, while her eyes shone perfectly

"Hell Yeah"
