The next day I woke up to the sound of laughter coming from the kitchen. I walk out of my room and into the kitchen to find grandma,Zac,and Brandon cooking.
"Good morning! How was your sleep Maddie?" Grandma says as I sit down at the table. "Good." She nods. "What's for breakfast?" I ask. Brandon looks at me "Pancakes,bacon,and eggs!" I smiled. "Sounds great!" I look at Zac and he just smiles.

Once we were done eating Brandon went to play with his friends while Grandma went to clean up a while.
"Want to go for a walk?" Zac says when we are alone. "Okay, let me change first." I walk back to my room.
I put on some jeans and a tank top. I walk outside with Zac and we walk down a garden path.
"So do you like it here a Grandma's?"Zac started.
I nodded," Its calm and quiet.Well if you aren't talking." I punched him playfully.
He laughed."Let's go sit down." He says dragging me to a bench. We sit and talk a little bit more. We learn more about each other. I was actually having fun with Zac.
Zac looked me in the eye and pulled me into his lap. I was getting kind of nervous. He leaned in towards me. I can't do this! "Zac! You're my step brother!" I say pushing him away. "Uh.." I get up and run back to the house.
