Twenty Five - Knock, knock, knock
It was lucky the O'Reileys lived across the road from the school. The lady at the front desk practically volunteered the information. She seemed to trust Kate more after realising who Haley was.
She looked up at the dying Jesus-mounted cross affixed on the door and figured she had the right place.
Knock, knock, knock.
The door swung open and a muscular, shirtless, dark-haired boy roughly a foot taller than her filled the doorway.
"Yes?" His eyebrows rose at the sight of her.
Kate got flustered. She wasn't prepared for that. "Hi?"
"What do you want?" he said eyeing her suspiciously. "Are you selling cookies?"
She almost laughed at that. How old did he think she was? Ten?
"Uh no." She inhaled sharply. "Are you Dylan O'Riley?" she asked, not flinching from his bored icy gaze, but she had to admit he was intimidating.
"Depends on who's asking?" He rubbed the side of his chin. "Who are you?"
She ignored his question. "Are your parent's home?" He shook his head and sighed loudly.
"Come on in. Let me put something on," he groaned like it was a hassle and she had ruined his whole shirt-free afternoon. He left the door wide open and disappeared up the stairs leaving Kate in the doorway.
[A/N] 4 days left, I think. You know, I just realised Dylan is only my fifth character not counting all the Haleys. Huh, strange. Anyways comment, vote and feel free to guess the ending and his connection. You won't get it.
