"You have to help me, now," Haley's voice said with urgency. She sounded shaky. Kate never knew Haley to sound shaky. She was always so sure of herself. Cocky almost.

"Hello?" Kate said groggily down the line, sitting up in bed with her mobile to her ear. She glanced at the clock. 2:27am.

"Hi, I need you to let me in," Haley replied. Kate groaned loudly as she pulled herself out from the canopy of the bed covers, the cold air chilling her to the bone.

"What? Let who in?" she mumbled, barely slipping into her slippers without falling over. Her brain wasn't functioning properly yet. Right now, she was running on autopilot.

"Let. Me. In." There was a loud banging coming from the front door.

"Hold on, I think someone's at the door." Kate heard the sound of a loud breath exhaled on the other end of the line. The banging got louder.

Her mother was doing the grave yard shift at the hospital so, thankfully, Kate didn't have to worry about waking her parents since her dad only got her on weekends. She suspected Haley knew this and that's was why she was banging on her door at two in the morning on a Thursday night. Friday morning...whatever.

"Yes, Kate, that's me. Open the door!" Haley ground out impatiently. The banging ceased momentarily before resuming in the tune of what Kate thought was jingle bells.

"Ohhh, I get it."

"Yes, are we all on the same page now? Open the goddamn door!" Haley screeched, causing Kate to yank the phone away from her ear.

"Ughhhh!" she screamed back louder into the receiver, hoping Haley had her's propped close to her ear, before hanging up and yanking open the door.

"What?!" she screamed at the person on the other side. Her jaw dropped open in shock. Haley -at least she thought it was Haley- stormed pass her into the house in a blur of black and gold. She only had a glance but she almost didn't recognise her this time. She had truly out done herself.

"Are you Haley?" she mumbled after her.
