Fifteen - The first

Haley

The first time I pretended to be someone else, I was five. It was just for fun. Harmless, unadulterated fun.

Her name was Stacey. A popular, ditzy character I dreamed up in one of my hazes. It started off vague like the background of a portrait, but then I started adding more brush strokes.

Her favourite colour was baby blue. It used to be pink, but she didn't like it anymore because it was too girly. It reminded her of the princess room she used to have, before she made her dad paint it baby blue.

She talked with a lisp because she couldn't pronounce 'r's' just yet. They hurt her tongue.

Her favourite things in the world were fairies. Fairies were better than princesses because they could fly and sparkle and had magic. And came in a variety of colours that were not pink.

Her favourite animal was dolphins. She dreamt of swimming with one. No, a whole lot of them. And one day she will. She'd bug her father to take her everyday until he'd agree.

She liked vegetables, hated mushrooms. She hated black jellybeans and lemon flavoured candies. She loved her daddy more than her mummy and they both spoiled her rotten.

She. Was. Happy.

[A/N] Comment, vote, follow if you haven't already. Ugh ! Getting close to the end it's making me nervous. Tell me what you think so far, if me switching from different character's pov's; 1st person to 3rd is confusing at all.
