I am Death - Part 11
I immediately flew towards Sandra's falling body, as she already started to fade away. I reached for her hand, but that just made her disappear faster. "No," I whispered, feeling helpless as I watched her turn into dust. I sniffed, until I realized I was crying. What?
Then it hit me. I had loved Sandra. (AS A FRIEND - I LOVED HER AS A FRIEND!)
I thought back to all those times I talked with her, always going to her for help. She was my best friend, my only friend, and I loved her for it. And now she was gone. Forever.
I turned back angrily to face Daniel. "Things just got personal," I muttered, grabbing for another arrow. Before, I had fought to win. But now, I was fighting to avenge.
I shot arrow after arrow, not caring that he would be able to block them so easily, which he did, while laughing. When I realized I had only one arrow left, I rushed to the Felon next to me and grabbed his gun, shooting him before aiming back at Daniel.
"Isabelle, it's useless!" I heard him laugh, as I got closer. "You'll eventually get over her! She was just another Death like you."
"No," I growled, shooting continuously. "She was my friend. I loved her."
I heard him snicker a little. "That's impossible," he spat. "Deaths can't fall in love - unless they were put under a spell." He peeked over his wing. "Like you were," he said, grinning.
I immediately shot up, but his wing jerked up quickly. "No. You're wrong," I said, as I reached for arrows from a Felon fading behind me. "The kind of love you forced on me, that's impossible. But the kind of love I had for Sandra?" I quickly flew backwards to avoid a bullet headed towards me. "That kind of love is different," I said, shooting at the Felon that shot at me.
I thought I could see him shaking his head. Then it hit me. His back was completely exposed. If I could find a way to sneak behind him...
"You know, Isabelle," he said to me. "You continuously attacking me, is not going to stop anything. Eventually, you will be shot by one of my Felons, because of your constant moving around."
I rolled my eyes. "Let them kill me!" I shouted. "Just let me kill you, first!" By now, I had gotten myself behind him. I grinned at the sight in front of me. I reached for my last arrow, aiming carefully. This shot had to be perfect.
Before I could let go, however, I felt something dig into my neck. I gasped, turning around quickly, to find a Felon hovering, his bow still aimed at me.
I saw Daniel look up cautiously, wondering why I had stopped, when he saw my position. "Oh, Daniels!" he said, as he bent over laughing. "What did I tell you? You brought this upon yourself," he sneered, as he flew up, away from me. The arrow was still in the bow, and if I released, I knew I could hit him, but I realized that I no longer had any arms.
I struggled to move, but all I did was fall, feeling particles of me start to blow away, and my vision started to go dark.

I groaned, as I sat up from the bed. "Where am I?" I asked, staring at the two figures standing in front of me.
"She's an ID, you said?" the female said to the male.
The male nodded. "Yes. What should her name be?"
The female thought for a while. "How about...Isabelle Daniels? Yes, I don't think we have anyone with those names yet." The figure focused her attention on me. "Isabelle Daniels," she said sternly. "You are an Internal Death, and it is your job to kill the mortals when their time is up."
I nodded. "I am an Internal Death, and it is my job to kill the mortals when their time is up," I repeated. I didn't know why I did, but I felt like I had to.
She nodded, satisfied. "Good. Now hold out your left wrist." I obeyed, and she snapped something around it. "This is your DeathWatch," she said. She flipped the case open, revealing two icons. One had the picture of a computer, and the other had a picture of a human outline. "If you click on the computer, you will be accessed to a CD, a Computer Death, who will alert you to a DeathPortal. If you click on the human, you will have a profile of the next mortal you will have to kill, if you forget, though you shouldn't." She glanced at me sternly, and I was intimidated for a second, but I quickly got over it.
I nodded again. "Where do I start?" I asked.
The female glanced at the male again. "Are you sure you inputted everything she has to know about the Death Realm?"
The male nodded. "Yes. She should be able to work right away."
The female nodded back. Wow, there was a lot of nodding going on. "Well, ID," she said to me again, "you should be receiving a profile soon, so go get ready."
I jumped off the bed, eager to get started. "Yes, miss!" I said, before leaving the room.
Outside, I saw another female standing there. "Who are you?" I asked roughly.
She looked surprised. "I'm a...Suicidal Death," she said. "I was just made."
I walked up to her, holding out my hand. I didn't know why, but I did. "I am Isabelle Daniels. I'm an Internal Death, and I was just made recently, too. Do you want to be friends?"
She smiled. "Okay! We can be friends. My name is Sandra Duncan." She took my hand, and we shook on it.

"Isabelle! Isabelle! Can you hear me?" a very familiar voice called. I groaned as I sat up, feeling a pounding in my temple.
"Yeah," I said, pressing my palm to my head. "Where am I? And who are you?"
"Her vision is unstable, right now," I heard a deep voice say to the figure that screamed my name. "Remember what it was like with you? You just need to wait a bit." His voice sounded familiar as well. I suddenly thought of grass.
"What..." I waited impatiently for my vision to clear, and finally, it did. I gasped at the first person I saw, and immediately reached out to hug her.
"Sandra!" I screamed. "You're alive!"
