"Jared! Get in here!"

Jared groaned and got up before walking put of his room leaving me behind for the time being. I flocked my tail a little as Jared returned and quickly changed and picked up his backpack, "I'll be back Snowy, so try to stay in here okay?"

He looked at me and gave me a small reassuring smile before leaving and leaving the door cracked open. I sighed and jumped down from his bed and jumped onto the small window sill. I watched as Jared got into a big yellow bus that said, New York City Schools. Maybe that's why it was so different, I was in the city....

And really far away from Ohio. I mewed quietly hearing the door slam shut as Jared's mother who I heard being called, Abigail leave for work I assumed. I jumped down from the windowsill and back onto Jared's bed.
Maybe I should sleep for the rest of the day?

It would be easier to get through the day without being bored. I desperately wished that there would be another friend like a mouse, dog, or bird. So I could at converse with but I guess not. I looked down at my small white paws and flexes my claws.

I layed my head down and closed my eyes hoping sleep would come and luckily it did.

"Snowy!"

I woke to seeing Jared run into his room and were me.

"Hey Snowy! I missed you!" He grinned making me feel happy inside.
I was happy that I was making Jared happy.

I started to purr when Jared pet me still smiling wide. "Hey, For once I didn't get any homework so I can spend all my time with you!"

I meowed in response which made his grin widen even more.

"You're my best friend Snowy and I love you very very much."

My purring grew louder as Jared grinned his brown hair falling onto his face which he moved away from his greenish hazel eyes.

Throughout the remainder of the day Jared and I watched some TV, played with a laser that kept disappearing much to my dismay until Abigail arrived home.

It must of been 10:30 pm and I heard Abigail stumbled onto the sofa before passing out. She was such a great mother. I rolled my eyes before walking back to Jared's room finding him fast asleep. I jumped into bed and cuddled against him beginning to drift off myself.

I would keep Jared company and help him not feel neglected.
