It's been a few more weeks of relentless training, for both your squad and Levi's, and today is the day that you would be going on an expedition from outside the walls, which Levi had explained to you and your squad, as well as why they were going on the 57th expedition.
You are saddling up your horse, as Levi came by.
"Tch, don't forget about the plan." Levi says.
"Like I would, I may be quite rebellious when it comes to some rules, but this I will not mess up. After all, people's lives are at stake." You say, as you mutter the last part under your breath.
"Oh? I didn't picture you as the hero type." Levi says, a bit of sarcasm in his voice.
"Well, if I can't be a savior, then I'll be a destroyer who saves lives." You say, looking Levi straight in the eye as you say this.
Levi seemed taken aback for a moment, before saying, "I think a destroyer who saves lives is a better image for you."
"Is that suppose to be a compliment or an insult?" You ask, raising an eyebrow.
"I'm saying that you have abilities beyond a savior. A savior is someone who saves lives, as they spare the enemy's life as well, which can always come with consequences. However, a destroyer who saves lives, I think that's better. They eliminate any threat that can be caused to humanity, but that doesn't mean that they are heartless, they can save the enemy too, as long as the believe that they are worth saving." Levi says, his voice devoid of any emotion.
Your eyes widen a but, as you mouth falls open, trying to say something, but nothing comes out.
That was when you burst out laughing.
"Tch, what's so funny, brat." Levi hisses.
"N-Nothing, your one of a kind, you know that!" You exclaim, as you give Levi a harsh pat on the back, causing him to stumble forward a bit.
Levi doesn't say anything, as he walks away, but he soon stops mid-step.
"Oi, (F/N)." Levi calls out, causing you to turn around.
"Yes?" You ask.
"You better get back in one piece, otherwise, I'll kill you myself." Levi hisses.
"Heh, you gravely underestimating me Levi, even if I did die, I'll just come back to haunt everyone's sorry asses." You say, but behind your easy going tone, there was a bit of seriousness in your voice.
"Just be sure to clean while you come back as a spirit of the dead." Levi says, as he walks off.
You chuckle slightly, as you continued preparing your gear and horse.
After a few moments of everyone scrambling around getting ready. You were soon sitting atop your horse, your squad behind Levi's.
"Don't forget what I told you guys." You say seriously, as you stare straight ahead.
"Don't worry captain, we know." Mine says, as she rides up beside you.
"Your really being too nice to these people, if you asking us for this." Dante mutters as he rides up to your other side.
"Call me selfish, but I don't wish for that time to repeat itself." You say, as you look at Dante from the corner of your eye.
Dante didn't need to ask what 'that time' was, he already knew. So did everyone from your squad.
'I will not allow Levi to suffer the same fate that I had to go through, we will protect Squad Levi.' You think, as the gates begin to open.
"Let the 57th expedition begin!" Erwin shouts, as he begins riding through the gates, which are soon followed by everyone.
You and your squad follow behind Levi and his squad, and pretty soon, you were surrounded by the largest trees you have ever seen.
"Not bad." You mutter under your breath.
Not even ten minutes in, you began hearing shouts.
You turn your head to the side, and saw a large female-like being.
'So that's how big titans are.' You think, as you and your squad whip the reins to your horses, causing them to ride with Squad Levi.
You then began hearing Levi's squad shout for orders.
'Shut up, he has a plan, believe in your captain.' You think, as you stare directly at Levi.
You look behind you, and saw a few people get crushed by the giant being that was chasing you.
But, as you were distracted by the titan, you failed to notice Eren about to bite his hand, as everyone shouts at him to stop.
You sigh, as Levi began to lecture the boy.
But, he still seemed hesitant.
"Oi, kid!" You called out, causing Eren to snap his gaze towards you.
"It your own fucking choice, trust us, or your own whim, its as simple as that. But, with decisions, we can think about things, turn them over in our minds a million times, play out possible scenarios, but really when it comes down to it, you have to go with your heart and move forward. Maybe things will go well. Maybe they'll turn out poorly. Every decision brings with it some good, some bad, some lessons, and some luck. The only things that's for sure is that indecisions steal many years from many people who wind up wishing they'd just had the courage to leap. So, kid, make the fucking decision already!" You shout.
Eren seemed to think about what you said for a moment, before putting his hand down, and saying, "I will choose to trust everyone."
You smirk, as you said, "See, that wasn't so hard."
After a few more minutes of riding, Levi finally shouts put, "Cover your ears!"
Everyone did as they were told, and that was when Levi shoots off a flare.
You smirk widens, as you see Erwin, and with him, barrels filled with anchors.
Erwin shouts, "Fire!"
This causes the wires to launch themselves into the titan's flesh.
Everyone slowed down, as the Female Titan was caught.
"Levi, I'll be heading with everyone else." You call out, causing the raven haired man to nod his head.
You quickly turned around, and shot your wires out, causing you to propel forward.
You continued this action until you were caught up with everyone.
But, after a short while, you heard a loud pitch roar, causing your ears to perk up.
You look towards the rest of your squad, and they looked back at you, before nodding their heads, confirming that they too, heard the roar.
'This roar, it can't be good.' You think grimly, as you continue to survey the area.
That was when a cloaked figure appears.
"Levi?" You hear Gunther question.
Your eyes widen a bit, as you tackled Gunther in mid air.
"What the hell!" Gunther exclaims.
"That wasn't Levi!" You hiss, as you glare towards the area that the cloaked figure went.
"If anything, I have I hunch in who, or rather, what they are." You say, as your eyes narrowed.
That was when a lighting appears, followed by a loud explosion.
"Squad Alpha, you know the plan!" You shout, earning a 'yes ma'am' from them.

"Don't forget, if anything happens, I want each of you to protect a member from Squad Levi, is that clear?" You hiss.
"Yes ma'am!" Your team members shout.

You look back, and saw that your squad members were staying closely with a member from Squad Levi.
"Hey, kid, your with me!" You yell out, as the Female Titan began chasing you.
"We should engage!" Eld shouts.
"No!, I'll handle this, if anything, get to a safe distance away, this thing has the same abilities as Eren." You hiss, as you draw your blades.
You lift them up to your face, as you say in a deadly tone, "Lets have a bit of fun, shall we?"
Almost as if it had understood you, it had tried to grab you, but you moved quickly, slicing up the arm, before trying to get to the nape of the neck, but a blue crystal like skin had formed, causing your blades to shatter.
You clicked your tongue in annoyance, before quickly retreating back.
You made your way back to the kid, an idea already forming in your head.
"Kid, transform, now!" You shout.
"But-" Eren tried to defend, but you cut him off.
"I wasn't asking, this thing has the ability to harden its skin to the point that these damn blades can't penetrate it."
"I can't." Eren said, looking down.
"Eren, life has many ways of testing a person's will, either by having nothing happen at all or by having everything happen all at once, and in the end, all I can say is, don't say you can't if you never even tried, this is just another way of testing your will, make your choice: save everyone or let them die." You say, causing the boy to look down.
"I will..." He began, causing your gaze to linger on his form.
"I will choose to save everyone!" He shouts, biting his hand, causing a large flashing of light to temporarily blind you.
Once you regain you vision fully, you see the Female Titan fight another titan.
"So that's the kid's form as a titan. Not bad, kid, not bad at all." You mutter, before turning back to your squad, that was still with Squad Levi.
"I want everyone to head back and get Levi, I'll stay here and watch over the kid, got it!?" You shout, you voice serious, causing everyone to nod their head, before firing their wires off towards the direction Levi was at.
You swiftly land on Eren's shoulder, as he continues to fight the Female Titan.
"You have am interesting fighting style, but unfortunately, its quite flawed." You say, before yelling instruction into Eren's ear, who obediantly follows you directions.
Eren was gained the upper hand at first, before things began to go downhill.
