Philip's POV:
"Dad?" I said watching my father pacing around the room. "What, what, what is it?!" he yelled. I quietly looked down. He sighed, "I'm sorry Philip, but the Hunters, an extremely wealthy family, is coming here this afternoon!" he explained.
"Wealthy family? Here? Why?" I asked curiously. Dad rubbed his temples and put a hand through his hair. "Well, your mother and I have been talking it out and we've decided that...we don't have enough money to pay for bills...and the Hunters are um, rich and have two daughters-"
"So you're setting an arranged marriage?!" I furiously yelled. "No, no! We just were thinking of a hang out, to get to know each other, and maybe in a while you'll-" I cut him off again.
"No! I'm not marrying a girl just for-for money!" this is getting on my nerves... "But she's pretty-" I'm done. "So?!" I screamed, "I-I'm not marrying her and that's that!" Dads just desperate at this point. "But-"
"NO!" I yelled and marched out of his office.
Alexander's POV:
I sighed just as my wife came into the room. "It'll be alright..." she said stroking my back, "if this doesn't work out...we'll try and find another way to get the money..."
I sighed and nodded. "I hope you're right..."
Philip POV:
"I can't believe this!" I complained to my sister. "Dad and mom want me to marry this...this spoiled rich girl!" Angie helped me fix my clothes, "Dude, you haven't even met the girl! At the least give her a chance." She said looking up from fixing my tie.
"A chance?! Angie, we don't even know her!" I stated, "Exactly!" She put her hands on her hips, "She may be nicer than you think Pip..." I rolled my eyes. "I know you're not okay with the whole idea but at least try and be nice." I sighed and nodded.
"Philip! Angelica! Come down!" Oh no...they're here..."You heard mom, lets go Philip."
I followed Angie down stairs just as the door swung open. There two adults walked in. "Hello Hamiltons." I'm guessing Mr. Hunter said. "Oh, you're allowed to call us by our name-" mom was cut off. "We'd rather not." Mrs. Hunter interrupted.
"See, I told you! The parents are rude and snobbish!" I whispered to Angie. "We didn't meet the kids yet!" She whispered back. Geez, what is wrong with her.
"Y/N, Alice!" Mrs. Hunter called. Then two more people came inside. One looked like she was Angelica's age and the other my age. The girl my age had silky H/C hair, E/C eyes, and a F/C dress on. I rolled my eyes. Typical rich girl. Wonder if she has a ballroom just filled with shoes!
"Hello Mr. Hamilton, Mrs. Hamilton." The older one said. "I'm Y/N." She bowed and Alice followed. Angie glanced at me giving me the 'I told you so' look. "Ok, ok the kids are polite but it's probably just an act." I said folding my arms.
"Hello Hunters," my mother said, "I hope you have a wonderful time here." She finished. "Yes, Yes, Why did we even come here." Mrs. Hunter mumbled to her husband. I swear that women is gonna be the death of me.
Y/N's POV:
After eating, the Hamilton parents and my own started talking in Mr. Hamilton's office. My sister and myself went with the Hamilton kids, Philip and Angelica Jr. , to be honest I doubt Philip trusts our family...I mean, he's not wrong, we've done...lots to uh...get where we are right now...but, never mind, can't think of that right now...
"Hey N/N! Why so quiet!" My sister said tugging on my arms. I laughed, "Just thinking Alice, just thinking." I responded.
I turned and saw Philip writing something down. I walked to his side. Ohhh he's writing a poem. "A poem huh?" He turned at me startled. "Oh! Um yeah." He looks extremely uncomfortable right now, geez am I that intimidating?!
Philip's POV:
I crumpled the poem I was writing and threw it on the floor. "Why'd you do that?" The girl to the side of me asked while walking to go retrieve it. "It's trash, can't find anything to rhyme with 'idle'." I sighed.
She thought for a second, "Hey, How 'bout 'suicidal'!" I looked at her as if she was crazy, which I don't know yet, "You know, you're strange for a rich girl." I stated. She gave me an offended look, "I'm not just a typical 'rich girl' if that's what you're saying." Y/N started, "I'm different. Now let me help you with that poem of yours." She walked up to the wooden piano in the corner of the room.
"You play?" I asked curiously. Didn't think people like her would actually be interested in music. "Well, duh, my parents taught me." She said. "Wow, So they actually have a heart? That's surprising" she gave me the same offended look she gave me the first time. "Well, I'm pretty 'welcomed' at your house, you've said at least two offensive things to me in under five minutes of talking." She argued. I shrugged, "Guess I'm not that good with people."
I got up and sat next to her on the piano. "To me, it's easier to write a song while writing a poem." She started, "how 'bout this melody?" She played a tune that...that enchanted me I have no words, all I can say is that...it was like each note was magical...and it was.
"I-its Perfect." I said astounded. She giggled. "You have that look that people get when they found something they love. I'm guessing you take a liking to music?" I nodded. Dang this girl...she can read me like a book!
After an hour we finished the poem...or song or whatever it is. To be honest it isn't bad! I just need more practice with my vocals. Y/N's...Y/N's amazing...her voice just...it mesmerizing! To be honest there isn't a right word to describe her...it's not perfect it's not extraordinary...it's Y/N that's the only word I can think about that describes her.
"Hey Pip?" I blushed at the nickname. "You spaced out a bit there." She chuckled. I love that about her...oh god no...I think...I think...
I'm in love
