Y/N POV:

I've been having dreams...

Dreams about them. And not everyday, silly day dreams. Real dreams. The kind that you would have at night. But these are different.

Everyone says that you start dreaming of your soulmate at age 19 and your dream is about how you figure out you two are soulmates. I turned nineteen months ago, so I thought everything I've known about soulmates...was fake. But now that I have these dreams, dreams of meeting them, dreams of befriending them, dreams of realizing that we're perfect for each other. Now I think differently.

I feel love just remembering those dreams. I have hope that one day I'm gonna meet them. But I don't know a thing of what they look like. Their figure is just a blurry haze. Is it male? Or female? Blonde? Or brunette? I don't have a clue! And that's the thing that drives me insane!

I've been searching my whole life to find this person that's supposed to be absolutely perfect for me! And yet, nothing! Ugh! It's so frustrating!

I sighed and got out of bed. I lived with my two friends, Glinda and Peggy. Oh! And my dog. Both of them, like me, haven't found their soulmate yet. Peggy has been having dreams too but Glinda hasn't. I can't imagine what it feels like for her.

I changed out of my F/c pajamas and put on black jeans with a matching black top and a red cardigan. I grabbed my white and gold colored adidas and slipped them on, not caring too much if I didn't have any socks. I swung my bag over my shoulder and left the apartment, waving goodbye to Glinda and a half-asleep Peggy.

I followed the cement to the large PetSmart down the street. I worked there as a part time job, fifty dollars an hour so it wasn't that bad. I sighed as I remembered my dream. It was so realistic! In the dream, I was sitting on a bench in a grassy kind of area. I was petting my dog, Silver when a blurry figure walked next to me, smiling. I felt butterflies in my stomach, even though it was a dream. I figured, that blurry person was my soulmate.

I opened the back door of the store and said hi to my co-workers. "Mornin' Y/n!" My boss, Thomas Jefferson greeted. I slightly smiled at him, still thinking of my soulmate. "Soulmate dream again?" He asked, I nodded, "Ah, well, tell me if you find him! I might just give you a raise for that," he finished, jokingly. I laughed and went to the tank area.

There were goldfish, glow fish, and turtles, playing around in the water. I grinned and got to feeding each one. As I got to the tank with the turtles, a man with curly hair and adorable freckles tapped on my shoulder.

"Yes?" I said, offering to help him. "Hi! Uh, can I see those turtles?" The freckled faced guy asked. I smiled, "Sure! Do you wanna feed them?" I asked. He eagerly nodded, obviously excited to feed the little things.

I laughed and cautiously handed him a baby turtle and the food to feed the animals. He awed and fed the green, baby turtle. "What's his name?" The guy asked. I shrugged, "I don't name them, I mean, I use to but it just makes you attached and sad when you see them be taken to a new family," I said, smiling sadly.

He frowned. To be honest, this guy's kinda cute. Dang it Y/n! No falling for someone who isn't your soulmate! Wait, maybe I am his soulmate! I mean, it wouldn't hurt to ask if he has dreams too! I randomly thought, but my consciousness was interrupted by the guy feeding the brown spotted turtle. "Well then, what do you think I should name it?" He asked, questioningly.

"I don't think that's a good idea, if you're just gonna leave the turtle here," I said giving an honest opinion. He turned to me and smiled, "Who said anything about leaving the turtle?" He smirked, lifting an eyebrow. I laughed and responded, saying just one word, "Touché," and with that, I led him and his soon to be pet turtle towards the cash register.

He payed for the food and a tank with some other supplies. After he left, business wasn't as busy during my shift. I sighed, walking to my apartment. When I unlocked the door, all I heard was quiet. Wow, someone could do ASMR in here. I randomly thought. I checked the kitchen counter and saw a yellow sticky note with hot pink pen writing on it.

I scanned over the small note:

Hey N/n! Me & Peggy Weggie are some runninm errands :( so don't come lookin' for us~

Glinda <3~

I laughed at my friend and spotted Silver sleeping in her doggy bed. I smiled and tried waking her up, "Silver! Wake up girl!" I said slightly shaking the baby pup. Silver got up immediately and started licking my face. I laughed and wiped the slobber off with my dominant hand.

"Wanna go on a walk girl?" I asked her. She started jumping up and down, as if she wasn't just soundly asleep. I figured that I could go to the park today, since I haven't been in like, FOREVER. And maybe I could meet my soulmate, you never know till you try. I passed my room and grabbed Silver's red colored leash.

I put it on her and made my way to the park. I found an old bench, giving an extraordinary view of the lake. I sat there petting Silver. Just like in my dream. Maybe this is when I'll meet my soulmate! No, I-it can't be...

After a few minutes of waiting for someone, I just gave up, thinking today just wasn't the day I was hoping for...

I was about to leave when the man I was helping at the store came towards me, holding the baby turtle in his hands. "Hey! You're the girl from the pet store!" He said smiling. I laughed and answered him, "Yup! I see you've named the lil guy?" I asked him. He nodded. "His name's Spot 'cause of his green spots on his shell!" He said happily, "Also I still don't know your name, I'm John," he introduced himself sticking his hand out for me to shake. I smiled, "I'm Y/n!"

I started feeling...fuzzy? That weird but yet amazing feeling inside of me. I-is he my soulmate?! I started blushing at the thought of finding the one I was meant to be with. I looked straight at him, wide eyed and by the look on his face, he was thinking the same thing as me.

"A-are we?" I hesitantly started, bUt he finished my sentence, "Soulmates?" We Both were bright red, our faces inches apart now. He started to lean in, closing his eyes. I did the same.

When our lips met, it wasn't like those fairy tale, perfect kisses, when the prince saves the princess, it was perfect in its own little way. I melted into the kiss. When my lungs started to burn I hesitantly pulled away. We both started heavily panting, in sync.

"Well, hello dream girl..."

Omg, I'm so fucking sorry this took 5 days. 5 days! I know that's ridiculous! I've just been struggling to find some new inspiration.
