Hyunjin's POV

Steel Rose was ruthless, he hit me with the bat until he was satisfied, the little girls screams drowning out my feelings of pain.

"U-Untie me !"

I begged, hearing the little girl sobbing beside me made me feel like screaming my head off.

"U-Untie me please, I-I can... I want to calm her down."

There was no way they would agree to it.

"Now why should that be something you can do ? Hm ? You think you deserve it ?"

Steel Rose questioned, his eyes sharp.

"S-She's gonna pass out! T-The doctors said not to put her under to much stress or she'll be at risk of passing out !"

Steel Rose sighed and untied my ropes.

"You get 5 minutes."

He pushed me towards the little girl and after not standing for so long it was hard for me to move.

I quickly took the little girl in my arms, releasing her from the ropes she had on.

"Letting her go wasn't what we agreed on Asani !"

Steel spoke up angrily.

"How the fuck else do you expect me to calm her down ?"

I responded matter of factly.

I cupped the little girls cheeks, not bothering to turn and see Steel's reaction.

"Hey, hey, it's okay... you don't need to cry, sure I'm being hurt but at least you're safe, I promise I'll find a way to get you out of here, okay ?"

Her arm without the cast was clutching onto my shirt.

I realized something when I untied her, they kept her arm without a cast outside of the ropes she was in.

She shook her head at my question, and I frowned in confusion.

"N-Not gonna leave you behind..."

To say I was surprised was an understanding.

"W-Why ?"

I questioned, feeling worried.

"If my hero was there to protect me, who is gonna protect my hero ?"

Tears trickled down my face before I could stop them.

"I-I can't let you get hurt... n-not today, not ever."

I leaned down and whispered in her ear.

"Plus, if you get out of here you can tell the heroes where I am..."

I made sure to keep my voice down.

I pressed a short kiss to her forhead.

"You've got my back, even without powers and I appreciate that, thank you."

She smiled softly, a short giggle slipping past her lips.

"I know that you don't like watching me get hurt, and I'm truly sorry you had to witness it, but I've gotta get tied up again, and you too. It's going to be painful to watch, but I need you to be brave for me, be your hearts little hero."

She nodded with a sniffle, clutching at my shirt tightly.

"D-Don't wanna watch you get hurt, d-don't like it..."

She whispered, a small frown taking over her face.

"I-I know, b-but if they take their anger out on you, I'd probably be the one put to blame if we are the only two that the authorities and heroes find."

I explained, feeling terrible.

She nodded with a sniffle.

"Wanna stay with you...."

She whispered, "You're my ohana."

My breath caught in my throat at her words, she couldn't mean...

I looked up at Steel Rose who stood near the stairs, watching us closely.

"L-Let me s-stay with you."

"That's not my decision... it's his."

I told her, watching her face shortly change to one of disgust.

I can't blame her for the way she reacted.

If I was one of the most unserious villains, I'd say he has to be the most serious villain.

Though I can't say he's as strong as me, he's just done a lot worse than I have.

I do villain stuff for fun, to get my anger out, I always return things to be nearly as perfect as they used to be, but nobody ever believes it's me, because right before I return everything Haengbok comes to 'the rescue'.

Sure, we had our fair share of arguments, fights and things like that, but nothing has ever gotten to the point of what I've experienced in the past month.

Especially this, Da-hye only seemed to be working with Steel Rose to get back at me, clearly having taken on the dark side, his whole costume was different, the only thing that wasn't different was his hair and voice.

Da-hye was, well... a lost cause, there was no way he was returning to the way he used to be, that was only clear to me because of how much he had been grinning his head off anytime Steel got a good hit in.

Haengbok and Yeonjun are gonna have their hands full with this one.
