19. Da-Hye
Hyunjin's POV
I was standing next to the bed with the little girl, my back turned to the window, I was talking with her and carefully listened to one of her stories as she let me draw on her cast.
"Then one day my friend found three kitties in the bushes next to his house and got to keep them !"
I smiled as my eyes lit up with realization.
"Oh! I saved him a few days ago too! Maybe once you've healed up a bit more you can play with him and the kittens."
She nodded excitedly.
Once I finished drawing on her cast I finally stood up straight, the pain in my back slightly lessed due to the help of Deiji earlier today before I went to meet the kids.
"Well, my time with you is up love, I'll come visit you again when I can."
I turned to Deiji, Haengbok and Yeonjun, seeing them stood there with smiles of their faces.
Then, their eyes widened as they looked behind me.
Then the glass window behind me broke, and without thinking I ran forward as fast as I could to cover the little girl from the flying glass shards that flew across the room.
I felt a pull on the back of my costume before I was pulled off the hospital bed.
Before I could let the little girl go, I felt myself being pulled out of the room through the hole that was left from the glass that had been broken.
I saw their faces held with horror as I was pulled out of the building and through the air, I was afraid to look behind me.
"DA-HYE YOU MOTHERFUCKER!!!"
Haengbok had flown after me, the angriest look in his eyes.
The little girl screamed as we were pulled through the air.
I closed my eyes, feeling my throat dry up and nearly felt like throwing up.
Not because I haven't flown before, I couldn't really tell what it was, maybe it was the fear that I wouldn't be able to keep the little girl safe if Da-Hye tries to use her for ransom or worse.
When I opened my eyes I was surprised to see two heroes in front of me.
Yeonjun flew out beside Haengbok, reaching out for us.
"YOU AREN'T GONNA CATCH ME! LET'S FACE IT, I'VE ALWAYS BEEN THE QUICKEST!"
Da-hye shouted out, making me flinch.
"DA-HYE IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS!"
Yeonjun shouted, looking sadly up at his former colleague.
I felt the wind rush down on as Da-hye took us higher, before letting and the little girl go, the air pushed at my hair and clothes, the little girl screaming in my arms as the air pushed down on us, gravity pulling us down faster.
Then, it all went black...
