If you asked Rami what it was about Lexi that intrigued him so much, he would tell you he couldn't decide. Maybe it was her wicked character,  maybe it was her caring personality. Whatever it was, Rami couldn't help himself from falling for the woman.

Everyone around him, though, seemed to continue to warn him about her. To them, she was manipulative and dangerous. Honestly, he couldn't see where they were coming from with all the talk. Lexi was nothing like the words they said about her, that much he knew. Perhaps they were afraid of him getting his hopes too high up only to get hurt in the end. The man was definitely known for having a heart too big for his body, usually leading to him getting hurt too easily. But his heart longed for the woman and he wasn't about to let their words stop him.

In the locker room, Rami watched as Lexi defeated Ariane "Cameron" Andrew, a small smile coming over him. Kevin and Fergal observed their friend in his current state as they continued to get ready for their match. Fergal's face showed concern for his friend.

"He surely can't still have feelings for her, can he? I mean, she's going to hurt him."

Kevin let out a low chuckle as he admired the emotions seeming to flow from his best friend. His eyes were glued to the television as Lexi slowly exited to the back.

"Sorry, man. But that the look of love sickness; there's no helping him now."

"But-"

"Listen, Fergal, I know you want what's best for him, you want him to be safe. But he's not a child. If he's in love with a girl, let him embrace that love. If he gets hurt, he gets hurt, he gets over it, and he moves on. Plain and simple. It's his life, let him make his own choices and mistakes."

Fergal was at a lost of words, but ultimately thought Kevin was right. Rami may have been the sweetest guy on the roster, but he was definitely not a child. He was his own man of his decisions. All they could do was stand back and watch the display before them.

Lexi grabbed one of the towels from the stagehands and started back for her locker room. Along the way, she was surprised to see Rami approach her with congratulations. Sure, she and the man had been close since the start of their careers. However, she knew the things people said about her, about how evil she was. She was surprised that after all of that, Rami still stuck around. Why?

"Hey, Lex. Nice job out there." His smile was sweet as he approached her. She returned the gesture to be nice.

"Thanks, Rami." She was about to continue towards her locker room, but a thought came over her, "Actually, can I ask you to do me a favor?"

"Sure, what is it?"

"Stay away."

His heart fell as the words escaped her lips. He was taken aback, trying to wrap his head around it.

"W-what?"

"I know what they say about me," Her voice softened; he had never seen her in this sort of state before, "I know they call me evil and twisted. And I think for both our sakes, we should just stop what we have going. I don't want to hurt you."

She started towards her down the hall, but she was stopped by the sound of Rami's voice.

"You know, Lexi, I don't care what everyone says about you. I know their words don't defy you. You're something special, especially to me. You were a love that came without warning; you had my heart before I could say no. Nothing can change that now."

Her heart swelled at his words. Deep deep down, she knew she had a soft spot in her heart for the man. The fact that he wasn't afraid to be around her, even after everything said about her, that meant a lot. She bit at her bottom lip to keep her smile from showing, but she couldn't hide the blush on her face.

"You're crazy, Sebei." She walked down the hall, leaving the Canadian behind with a bright smile on his face; he knew he had her.
