"I know, I know. But, what if we do this?" Rami started to explain a larger spot, causing Kevin to roll his eyes. Honestly, he shouldn't have expected anything more from his best friend. However, with the show starting in less than an hour, he couldn't help but feel that Rami was shielding some emotions.

"Alright. What's biting you, kid?" Kevin rested back into the couch, causing Rami to cock his head to the left slightly.

"What do you mean? Nothing's 'biting'." His voice cracked as he grabbed the roll of white tape for his wrists. Kevin couldn't help but let out a laugh at the sight of him. He reminded him of a small child, trying hard to keep a secret from the world when everyone already knew the answer.

"It's because of Lexi, isn't it?" Sebei didn't give an actual response, but Kevin instantly knew what was running through his mind.

The self-proclaimed five feet of fury was set to tag with Steen that night against the bearded man and Pamela Martinez. Lexi and Rami had been fairly close since their first days in NXT. He watched her develop, transform into the force of pain that she is today. How manipulative she is in the ring, causing him to be curiously drawn to her. The typical good guy falling for the bad girl story.

"I knew it." He proclaimed; Rami rolled his eyes at him because of it. As he ripped the roll of tape, Kevin patted the knee closest to him, "Listen, because I'm only going to say this once: you're going to be fine. Lexi is a sweet girl, and she's very understanding. Plus, you've done this before; it's like ripping off a bandage. Don't think about it too much, because then you'll really ruin it." He gave him a hearty pat on his knee before retreating to his own locker room to get ready.

Rami let out a deep breath before grabbing his boots and starting to lace. He found his fingers shaking slightly as he maneuvered the laces into the holes. Sometimes it got so bad he would take a moment to compose himself before starting up again. He had never been so nervous about a match, but he had especially never been so nervous about a woman before.

The crowd at Full Sail was rowdy as the tag match was underway. The chemistry between the two men was undeniable, but with the female action thrown in there as well, it was definitely a sight to see.

With Rami on the ground, Kevin took a moment to proclaim to the crowd that it was his destiny to become the next NXT Champion. However, his words were cut short by the slap on his back from his partner. The fans gasped as Lexi ducked into the ring and demanded Steen to leave. Rami's heart fluttered at the sight of her; he'll admit, the dominant side of her was definitely a turn on. Her heel persona was one of his favorites of any in the developmentals; she carried herself so well with it. He watched as his friend was at the mercy of her words, begrudgingly stepping out of the ring.

When she noticed Sebei still unmoved from his knelt position, she began to demand he leave her ring. His eyebrows cocked as he rose to his feet, towering over the woman. The fans watched in awe as she continued to scream profanities at him. His heart began to beat faster and faster as it was his turn to make his move. Quickly, but gently, he caressed both sides of her face before leaning down to kiss her lips, causing her flailing to cease. The fans cheered before she pushed him away; a shocked expression followed as her hand replaced his. However, the moment was short as she moved her other hand to slap him hard across the face. The fans held their breaths as Rami's tongue pushed into the affected cheek, a smirk forming on his face.

When she turned back around she was met with Pamela throwing her over herself for the Bayley-to-Belly to pick up the victory. Kevin didn't even try to get involved as he tried to hide his smile for his friend from the crowd. Rami's eyes found the smaller woman's for a moment before his hand was raised; he missed the fact that she had to cover her mouth to hide her own smile.

Once backstage, Pamela and Rami parted ways to get changed. Not even ten feet from the area, he heard his name being called. He turned to meet the sweet smile of Lexi as she emerged from the curtain. His own smile formed as he faced her.

"Hey, Lex. Nice job out there." His heart started to pick up pace in her presence.

"Thanks, Ram. You did great too." Her smile faded for a moment, causing his heart to fall, "But there's something I got to say."

Before he could respond, the smaller woman stood on her tip toes to capture his lips in hers. Her arms wrapped around his neck, one of her hands finding shelter in his hair. Shocked, it took a moment for Rami's arms to wrap around her to support her up. The two melted into each other, not caring if others were around to see. When she pulled away, she gave a small giggle.

"If you're going to kiss me, do it right next time." She gave him one more smile before releasing from his grip and heading towards her locker room.

Rami's smile was bright as he watched her leave. He let out a small chuckle as his heart quivered in delight. He couldn't wrap his mind around it, but there was some hope in her voice.
