Chapter #2: Quasar Throws Down The Gauntlet! Captain Marvel's True Power Revealed!

Narrator: "Previously on Hyperdimension Neptunia Super! Using the power of the Light Star Dragon Balls, Quasar Kaze sought to challenge an extremely powerful fighter from a separate universe in order to once again ascend to a new level of power. Then, shortly after his arrival on a different planet earth, the young Saiyan of Gamindustri came face-to-face with the likes of Carol Danvers, otherwise known as "Captain Marvel", who was an extremely powerful superhero of this new parallel world."

Quasar: Hyper Shenron said there might be someone out there in the multiverse who could give me a challenge and push me past my own limits. So, what do you say, Carol? Wanna go a few rounds?!

Carol: Sure. I accept your challenge. However, don't go thinking I'll take it easy on you just because you're some kid.

Narrator: "Shortly after he fully explained the situation to the blonde bombshell, Captain Marvel quickly accepted Quasar's proposition as the two engaged in a high-octane fight to the finish. However, Quasar soon realized that Captain Marvel proved to be a little more than he bargained for, as not even the Kaio-Ken technique was enough to keep up with the bombastic blonde superheroine."

Quasar: Alright, Carol. Since you want to use my full power, I think it's time for me to get serious!

Narrator: "Now, as the first round had reached its conclusion, the two fighters decided to stop pulling their punches and demonstrate the full extent of their power. And of course, Quasar revealed a very interesting secret to Captain Marvel."

Quasar: Haaaaaaaaaaaa!!! RRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!

Narrator: "Now that Quasar has ascended to the level of Super Saiyan, will he be able to turn the tides of this battle in his favor, or is there a lot more to Captain Marvel than meets the eye?! Find out... Now!!!"

The scene then quickly transitioned into showcasing an image of a rocky wasteland with the seven Light Star Dragon Balls floating all across the wasteland itself before a few lines of text appeared on the screen.

The first scene to be shown was an overview shot of the northern wasteland as a few of the clouds in the sky appeared to cover up the sun for a very brief moment before drifting away and letting the bright rays of light continue to shine down upon the incredibly serene and natural landscape.

Following this, the camera immediately cut back over to the battlefield as Captain Marvel was left utterly dumbfounded as her bright-blue eyes were focused exclusively on the likes of Quasar Kaze after he had just transformed into a Super Saiyan right in front of her. In Carol's mind, she already began to suspect that the young alien martial artist she was currently fighting was undoubtedly strong, but to say that she was not expecting him to undergo such a transformation like this would be a massive understatement.

Now, in contrast to Captain Marvel, Quasar's face was simply brimming with confidence as there was a proud smirk plastered all across his face as he let the bright, golden-yellow aura of his Super Saiyan transformation continuously flow upwards like a powerful flame that continued to burn without anyone or anything to put it out, with his blonde spiky hair also appearing to be flowing in the wind.

As she continued to stare at the young man, Captain Marvel was lost in her own thoughts as she tried her best to fully ascertain what had just transpired only a few moments ago.

Captain Marvel: (What the?! Just what the hell is going on here?!! Did this kid seriously just give himself a bleach job or something? 'Cause I've never seen something like this before. Although, something tells me that there's a whole lot more to this than just its overall appearance... Especially with that weird glow of his...)

Finally deciding to stop thinking about it too much, Carol quickly opened her mouth and started talking to Quasar in order to learn about this sudden change in his appearance.

Captain Marvel: Hey, blondie! Mind telling me what the hell's going on?! How did you suddenly change your hair color like that? And not just that, but what's with this sudden burst of energy I sense coming off of your body?

Then, as soon as these particular questions made their way into his eardrums, Quasar decided to explain himself to Captain Marvel about his transformation.

Quasar (Super Saiyan): Hmm? Wait, are you talking about how I just transformed? Sure, I don't mind giving you a bit of the details. You see, Carol, this level is called a Super Saiyan.

Captain Marvel: Say what? A Super... Saiyan?

Quasar (Super Saiyan): Yep!

As soon as she heard this, Captain Marvel's head started racing as over a dozen questions began popping into her mind, with it being perfectly clear that she had never heard of anything like this "Super Saiyan" transformation before in her entire life.

Then, right before Carol could even form words in her mouth in order to ask Quasar more about the sudden change in his appearance, the spirit of Uranus quickly appeared right beside the Super Saiyan of Gamindustri before deciding to give the blonde-haired superheroine a very brief explanation on Quasar's Super Saiyan form.

Uranus: *Ahem* Please allow me to explain, Mrs. Danvers. Super Saiyan is a special kind of transformation that is primarily exclusive to members of the Saiyan warrior race which greatly increases their battle power by fifty times their normal magnitude.

Upon hearing this, Captain Marvel's eyes widened like dinner plates as she could not believe what the ghostly woman just said to her.

Captain Marvel: Huh?!! Are you kidding me?!! This form seriously makes someone fifty times more powerful than they were before?!!

Uranus' only response to Carol's question was a very simple nod before Quasar decided to chime in on the conversation.

Quasar (Super Saiyan): I know it sounds crazy, but what Uranus just said is the truth. My power... My speed... My stamina... Every single trait that I use in a fight is shot up like crazy whenever I'm in this form.

Captain Marvel: ... You don't say... Well, if that's true, then why don't you come over here and show me what this so-called "Super Saiyan" power of yours is all about, huh?

It was then that the smirk on Quasar's face grew even larger as he let out a chuckling sound from his mouth before quickly accepting Captain Marvel's challenge.

Quasar (Super Saiyan): Heh! I thought you'd never ask! Let's do this thing!

After he said this, Uranus's spirit disappeared once again in order to allow both the Saiyan and the superheroine to continue their fight without any interruptions.

Following this, Quasar got into a traditional kung fu/martial arts stance with the smirk on his face quickly disappearing as he instantly shot a glare directly at Captain Marvel who also got into a fighting stance.

Now that the stage had been set and Quasar had just transformed into a Super Saiyan, the two fighters were now more than ready to start the second round of their intense fight.

♪I won't give up 'til the end of me♪

As they both stared directly into each other's eyes, quietly anticipating who would get to make the first move, the only audible sound that filled the air was that of Quasar's incredible golden-yellow, flame-like aura as it made a powerful "whooshing" noise each and every second.

♪Go♪

Then, after for what seemed like an eternity, something within Quasar just snapped as his golden-colored aura started to increase in terms of size, which was a clear indicator of how much energy the young Super Saiyan was letting out of his body.

After he was done powering up, Quasar let out a powerful yell which was brimming with vigor and determination as he quickly rushed towards Captain Marvel at blazing speed, with him even breaking the ground beneath him after the initial take off, as well as how fast he was traveling.

Captain Marvel saw this and tried her best to block the incoming attack. Unfortunately for her, Quasar's newfound speed was just a bit too much for her to even comprehend as he delivered a sickening, yet powerful punch right to Captain Marvel's stomach, causing her to cough some saliva and blood in the process before immediately following it up with a strong left hook to her face which send her flying backwards. Not wanting to let up for even a second, Quasar flew straight towards Captain Marvel at such blustering speeds that he almost looked like a comet traversing through the vast reaches of outer space. Then, upon getting close to his opponent, Quasar struck Carol with a strong right hook kick to the face and then followed it up with a left axe kick to the side of her head before he quickly teleported behind his opponent, striking her in the back using his right elbow, and finally ending the combo with a double axe handle which sent her flying back towards the ground, as well as inflicting a hefty amount of damage to the blonde superheroine.

♪Yeah♪

Fortunately for Carol, she quickly recovered from the onslaught of attacks by stopping herself from falling in mid-air. It was then where Quasar charged straight towards Captain Marvel once again in order to continue on with the fight. Just before he could get up close and personal, Carol quickly threw out a punch to try and strike him. But unfortunately for her, Quasar quickly vanished right in front of her before suddenly reappearing behind her with his back turned towards her own.

♪Where we've been growing slowly♪

Then, right as soon as she realized where the Super Saiyan was and tried to prepare another punch, Quasar struck Captain Marvel right in the stomach area, making her gasp in excruciating pain, as well as leaving her completely stunned.

Quasar (Super Saiyan): What's wrong, Carol? Can't keep up?

♪Think I'm on 11, but I'm on a 9♪

♪Guess you don't really know me♪

After he said this, Quasar attempted to kick Captain Marvel again, only for the blonde superheroine to quickly vanish before reappearing in front of the Super Saiyan, not only catching off-guard but quickly striking him with a supercharged right hook straight to the cheek, sending Quasar flying backwards as she flew straight after him.

♪Running from the past is a losing game♪

♪It never brings you glory♪

Captain Marvel: "Keep up"? Oh trust me, kid. I CAN and WILL keep up with you!

♪Been down this road before♪

♪Already know this story♪

The young Super Saiyan instantly recovered from the last attack by performing acrobatic flips in mid-air before quickly powering up once again as he then charged straight towards Captain Marvel, with the two of them eventually colliding with one another as they began to clash with a flurry of extremely fast-moving punches and kicks while also flying at the same time. The speed of their attacks were so great that they almost appeared to be little more than unregistrable blurs to the naked eye.

♪Face your fear♪

♪Face your fear♪

Both Quasar and Captain Marvel appeared to be evenly matched for the most part as they continuously went back and forth with their attacks, with the two blonde-haired warriors striking, dodging, and blocking each other's hits with minimum effort.

♪It's time to face your fear♪

As the battle raged on, Quasar managed to gain the upper hand on Carol as the spiky-haired warrior started unleashing a series of aerial kicks at Captain Marvel, with the female Avenger carefully dodging or blocking the attacks using her arms. Then, before he could try attacking with yet another kick, Captain Marvel quickly grabbed Quasar's left leg before quickly spinning him around like a ragdoll and threw the Saiyan warrior very far away, but not before disappearing once more and then reappeared just as quickly in order to punch Quasar right in the face, sending him barreling straight downwards.

♪'Cause when your time has come and gone♪

♪I'll be the one to carry on (carry on)♪

Following this, the two golden-haired warriors quickly charged right back at one another as they started clashing in mid-air once again at supersonic speeds, only for Quasar to circle around Carol at such high speed that he left a trail of golden-colored light behind him, with the end result creating a yellow, cyclonic vortex of air around the female Avenger. The sheer force and speed of the cyclone was so strong that Captain Marvel was thrown completely off-guard and unable to defend herself from the likes of Quasar as he flew back in to strike his opponent with a powerful elbow strike right to Carol's stomach, making her plummet straight toward the solid ground below them.

♪And you can throw me to the wolves (throw me to the wolves)♪

♪'Cause I am "Un-de-featable"♪

Upon landing back on the ground, Captain Marvel powered up as a bright, golden-yellow, scarlet-red, and bluish-silver fiery aura quickly enveloped both of her hands as she fired off an extremely powerful Photon Blast straight at Quasar, with the hopes of taking him down sooner rather than later.

♪I'm hanging on to the other side♪

♪I won't give up 'til the end of me♪

However, just as soon as he saw the attack coming his way, the young Super Saiyan quickly responded to the situation by drawing his right hand back to the upper side of his body and started charging up his ki, which took the form of a yellow-colored energy sphere.

♪I'm what you get when the stars collide♪

♪Now face it, you're just an enemy♪

Then, after letting out a powerful yell, Quasar thrusted his right arm forward and fired an extremely powerful stream of bright, golden-colored energy straight at Carol's own energy wave as the two beams of pure, concentrated energy met and collided with one another in a near-perfect standstill before they ultimately caused a massive explosion to suddenly form.

♪Whoa, whoa♪

♪You're crossing the line♪

When the smoke finally disappeared, Captain Marvel quickly teleported right in front of Quasar, which completely threw the Saiyan warrior for a loop as he had no time to defend from Carol's assault as she then hit Quasar with a rapid-fire barrage of energy-infused punches and kicks, with her eventually ending the combo with a push kick that sent the Super Saiyan flying backwards.

♪Whoa, whoa♪

♪Now we've run out of time♪

Then, shortly after stopping himself in mid-air, Quasar got into a fighting stance as he saw Carol rushing straight towards him once again, forcing him to once again raise his power to the max with the size of his aura beginning to grow exponentially.

♪Whoa, whoa♪

♪I'll take what is mine♪

Quasar (Super Saiyan): Alright, Carol. This time I'm coming at you at full power!

As soon as he finished saying those words, Quasar dashed straight towards Carol as the two then cocked back their respective right-handed fists before quickly throwing their strongest punches at one another, resulting in their fists colliding and unleashing a powerful shockwave that resonated throughout the entire wasteland. Then, shortly after this exchange of fists had been made, Quasar and Captain Marvel continued to clash with one another as they both appeared to be evenly matched, with each and every blow that was thrown either being blocked, dodged, countered, or redirected without any effort.

Eventually, the two fighters once again took to the skies above as they both appeared as nothing more than bright, golden-colored blurs that appeared to be clashing and colliding with one another, with the force of their collisions creating powerful shockwaves in the process. As this continued to happen, both fighters flew all across the wasteland as they continuously clashed and bounced off one another with each and every impact being more powerful than the last, but nothing that the Saiyan and the Avenger couldn't handle.

♪Go♪

Then, after this constant back and forward push had run its course, Quasar was seen landing on the ground with a confident smile on his face as he casually spun around like a top while the gold, red, and blue-colored blur flew right past him, with it revealed to be Captain Marvel as she did a quick u-turn and charged straight towards the young Super Saiyan. Quasar did the same thing as the femme fatale and rushed straight towards her as both heroes clashed their respective right arms with smirks on each of their faces, as well as sparks of electricity that appeared to be flying in between their eyes before a small explosion from the clashing of arms sent the two of them flying back as they landing back onto the ground.

Quasar (Super Saiyan): Man, this is great! I mean, even after I became a Super Saiyan, you're still able to keep me on my toes. There's no way around it, Carol, you're really, really strong!

The female Avenger responded to Quasar's words with a proud smile on her face as she placed a hand on her left hip and then clenched her right hand into a fist.

♪And when the story ends♪

♪It becomes a part of me♪

Captain Marvel: Hehehe! Well, of course! You're not dealing with any ordinary person, kid. I'm a whole lot better than that!

♪I'll give it what it takes♪

♪I'll find another way♪

After saying this, Carol quickly flew straight at the Saiyan from Gamindustri with her right fist cocked backwards in order to strike him with a devastating punch, only for Quasar to quickly anticipate this next move by simply slapping Captain Marvel's punch downward as he casually leaped behind her. Despite her attack not landing, Captain Marvel could not help but smile a little bit as she acknowledged her opponent's cunning strategy with Quasar also smiling at Carol before kicking her further away, with her crashing into a nearby mountain as Quasar chased after her.

♪I used to never know♪

♪But now it's crystal clear♪

Following this, the two warriors started trading blows with each other while flying through the trees and mountains as they also left a trail of rocks, grass, and dust behind them.

♪This feeling's just a ghost♪

♪It's time to face your fear♪

Eventually, Carol managed to successfully land a double axe handle on Quasar which sent him flying to the ground before flying up to the sky and then firing another Photon Blast straight downwards, only for Quasar to place two of his fingers towards his forehead in order to use the Instant Transmission technique to avoid getting hit by the blast, with it creating a rather massive scar in the earth's surface.

♪'Cause when your time has come and gone♪

♪I'll be the one to carry on (carry on)♪

Quasar then quickly reappeared right in front of Captain Marvel and attacked her with a powerful uppercut straight to the chin and then followed it up with a roundhouse kick which sent her flying back, but not before using Instant Transmission once again to teleport behind Carol and knocking her away with a karate chop to the back of her neck.

♪And you can throw me to the wolves (throw me to the wolves)♪

♪'Cause I am "Un-de-featable"♪

Quasar then started dashing around the air for a little bit as he began striking Captain Marvel with a barrage of fast-moving attacks, with the Saiyan quickly noticing that his female opponent was actually not truly going all out against him as he then decided to comment on this matter to Carol directly.

Quasar (Super Saiyan): You're holding back! C'mon! Give it your all!

♪I'm hanging on to the other side♪

♪I won't give up 'til the end of me♪

Eventually, Quasar managed to successfully push Carol back using both of his legs as he proceeded to grab a hold of Captain Marvel's red sash and casually started spinning her around like a top before he started talking to the femme fatale once again about her not full power after he did the same thing to her.

♪I'm what you get when the stars collide♪

♪Now face it, you're just an enemy♪

Quasar (Super Saiyan): No regrets!

Then, immediately after he said those words, Quasar finally stopped spinning Carol around and threw her with his Dragon Throw grapple technique, which sent flying back down into the dirt below them. After she finished rolling around the ground for a little bit, Captain Marvel successfully managed to recover being flung to the ground like a frisbee and just casually brushed off Quasar's concern about her true strength.

Captain Marvel: Me? "Holding back"...? Ha! Fat chance, kid!

Shortly after she proudly boasted to her opponent, Captain Marvel immediately flew right back towards Quasar at full speed with both of her fists outstretched and being completely engulfed in a bright-gold, red, and blue-colored energy as she then used her Blitz Blow attack to ram straight into Quasar, with the Super Saiyan being forced to block the incoming attack using both of his arms in order to protect himself. Unfortunately for him, the sheer force of the attack was so great that it sent him flying several dozens of kilometers away from the grassy wasteland as he quickly stopped himself in mid-air and looked around to see that he was now floating in the middle of the ocean.

Then, without any hesitation, Captain Marvel flew straight at Quasar with the intent of hitting him with another strong punch. However, right before her attack could even connect, Quasar narrowly dodged Carol's punch and then roundhouse kicked the female Avenger straight down to the water before he started charging up another one of his most signature techniques as he first outstretched both of his arms forward and then proceeded to cup his hands together and drawing them close to his body as he began charging up his ki with a bright, whitish-blue colored light being concentrated into a single point between his cupped hands before he started to chant something while he was busy charging up his signature technique.

Quasar (Super Saiyan): Ka... Me... Ha... Me... HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

As soon as he finished saying the name of the attack, Quasar quickly thrusted both of his arms forward in order to shoot out a large, powerful light-blue (almost white) colored energy wave from the palm of his hands directly at Captain Marvel, with it actually connecting as she sent her flying down into the water below, prompting the Saiyan to put a little bit more power into his attack in order to keep her pinned down.

However, it was then where Quasar started to notice that something was off as he suddenly felt something in the ocean.

Quasar (Super Saiyan): Huh?

It was later revealed to be none other than Captain Marvel herself as she appeared to be rather unfazed by Quasar's Kamehameha wave as she flew out of the water and quickly grabbed the Saiyan by the neck as she then proceeded to launch him straight up into the air with an extremely powerful, energy-charged uppercut and then flew straight after him. As the two golden-haired warriors were still airborne, they once again started exchanging blows at an extraordinarily fast pace until they eventually returned back to the wasteland area.

♪I won't give up 'til the end of me ('til the end of me)♪

Quasar and Carol then clashed once again as they landed back on the ground and appeared to be locked in an intense struggle with the two of them gripping each other hands extremely tightly as they both growled through their teeth before quickly escalating into a full-blown yell as their auras began increasing in terms of size, in addition to the ground beneath their feet starting to shake extremely violently as rocks and grass began floating into the air surrounding the two fighters before they immediately went back to fighting each other as they threw a flurry of punches and kicks, with each blow being blocked or countered. Eventually, Carol was able to fully adapt to the power of the Super Saiyan as she quickly dodged two of Quasar's strikes and kicked him straight in the stomach before she rushed forward a very short distance and then started unleashing a rapid-fire barrage of physical attacks before punching him away as he slid across the ground until he finally stopped in his tracks.

♪Now face it, you're just an enemy♪

Feeling a little bit exhausted, Quasar started breathing rather heavily as he was beginning to get a little overwhelmed by Carol's relentless assault. However, for just a brief second, there was a bright gleam in the young Saiyan's eyes as he suddenly smirked at his opponent, which greatly confused Captain Marvel as she had no clue what he was thinking.

♪Welcome to the mind of a different kind♪

♪Where we've been growing slowly♪

Then, without any sort of warning, Quasar spoke up once again as he shouted out two very important words.

Quasar (Super Saiyan): Super... Kaio-Ken!!!

♪Think I'm on 11, but I'm on a 9♪

♪Guess you don't really know me♪

It was then where something rather interesting began to occur as the pinkish-red colored aura of the Kaio-Ken was combined with Quasar's standard aura and his body and hair gained an intense, crimson-red colored hue. Then, immediately after he activated the Kaio-Ken technique once again, Quasar dashed straight towards Captain Marvel at such a speed that not even she could see coming as he then punched his female opponent right in the jaw with a strong right hook, sending her flying backwards. He then proceeded to chase after the dazed Captain Marvel and started unleashing a combo of several high-speed punches and kicks which Carol found to be pretty difficult to defend against.

Eventually, Quasar finished off the combo by striking her in the chest with an elbow strike, before following it up with a strong left kick which sent her flying up into the sky, and then used Instant Transmission once again to teleport himself into the air before quickly knocking her back down to the ground with a double axe handle.

♪Already know this story♪

Afterwards, Quasar teleported right in front of Captain Marvel before quickly firing off a powerful Galick Gun at point blank range at the female Avenger, which made her eyes widen like dinner plates as the attack collided with her body and then created a massive explosion.

As the smoke began to clear up, the bright, crimson-colored aura of the Kaio-Ken quickly faded away as Quasar returned to how he looked previously, while still maintaining his traditional Super Saiyan form. Additionally, Carol was seen floating back towards the ground as she appeared to have a few scratches across her face and her suit, but otherwise still looked to be perfectly fine to continue on with the fight, which was something that made Quasar look completely surprised.

Quasar (Super Saiyan): (Wow... That's amazing! Even after I boosted my strength with the Kaio-Ken technique and then blasted her using my Super Galick Gun, she managed to completely tank it like it was nothing.)

It was then where Uranus' spirit reappeared right beside the young Super Saiyan warrior and began vocalizing her own thoughts on the matter.

Uranus: Indeed. From what I could see, Ms. Danvers possesses incredible power and speed that speaks to countless years on the battlefield. And if I were to be brutally honest with you, Quasar, I am of the opinion that she might even be more powerful than you, even at your current level.

Quasar (Super Saiyan): Wow, really?

Uranus simply looked at Quasar with an honest look on her face before nodding at the Saiyan before she started talking again.

Uranus: If she's not even going all out against you, then it would not be wise to continue on with this battle. But then again... Knowing you, I have a strong feeling that you're planning on drawing out her true power so that you can enjoy this fight to the fullest, am I correct?

Quasar just smirked at his ethereal friend before he quickly answered her question with as much confidence as he could muster.

Quasar (Super Saiyan): Heh! You got that right! I'm just getting started, and I think it's about time that I kick things up a notch.

Upon hearing this answer, Uranus could not help but smile at the Super Saiyan as she found his sheer determination to be very inspiring, with it clearly reminding her of his father Oliver Kaze and even the other CPUs back in their home world of Gamindustri. It was then where the spirit of Planeptune's CPU quietly disappeared once again as she decided to let Quasar continue on with the fight without any interruptions holding him back.

Meanwhile, Captain Marvel looked at her right hand and then turned her attention over to the blonde-haired Saiyan warrior who was standing a couple of feet away from where she was standing before she then started thinking to herself about the last couple of minutes where she and Quasar were fighting each other.

Captain Marvel: (Okay, there's no way around it, Carol... He's good. Like really, really good. Never in my wildest dreams thought I'd be fighting against some kid with the ability to grow stronger just from dying the color of his hair. But... It's a good thing that he doesn't know about my special powers yet. I'm not sure if this Super Saiyan thing is the limit of his power or not, but if it is, then I've definitely got this fight in the bag...)

Then, as soon as she finished having her own internal discussion on the current state of events, Captain Marvel spoke up and decided to engage in conversation with the likes of Quasar Kaze.

Captain Marvel: Hey, what's the matter, kid? Already reaching the limit of your strength?

Upon hearing this question, Quasar quickly responded to the blonde-haired superheroine with an honest smile on his face.

Quasar (Super Saiyan): Are you kidding? I love this! You really are something, Carol. Whenever I fight against someone who's really strong, it just pumps me up and makes me want to get even stronger!

It was then where Carol simply just let out a huge sigh as she placed her right hand over her forehead and slowly shook her head with both of her eyes closed.

Captain Marvel: *Sigh* You know something, kid? I haven't known you long, but I can already tell that you Saiyans are REALLY addicted when it comes to battle. But... I honestly can't help but admire that. So, c'mon... Give me everything you got!

Quasar simply smiled at Captain Marvel as he prepared himself to continue on with the fight as he just looked straight at the female Avenger with an extremely large amount of determination in his eyes.

Quasar (Super Saiyan): Heh! Alright, if that's how you want it, then I guess it's time for me to take it up to the next level!

Captain Marvel: Wait? "Next level"...? What the hell are you babbling about?

Unfortunately for Captain Marvel, Quasar's only response to her question was a smirk as he clearly knew something that she didn't. Then, after a few seconds passed, Quasar quickly crossed both of his arms into an "X" shape and then brought them close to his chest as the bright, golden-colored aura of his Super Saiyan transformation began to envelop his body once again, with him drawing out even more of his dormant power in order to go further beyond the level of a Super Saiyan. As this continued to happen, small sparks of light-blue colored electricity started appearing out of thin air as it began to dance around the young Saiyan's body, which was a clear sign that Quasar's power was beginning to rise, which was something that Carol immediately took notice of.

Captain Marvel: What is this?! There's no way someone can possess this kind of power! It's impossible!

Eventually, Quasar started letting out a loud, yelling sound from his mouth once again before he quickly unfolded his arms and began to power up once more as he was now prepared to finally ascend past the previous level of Super Saiyan and into something even more powerful.

Quasar (Super Saiyan): HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Then, immediately after he was done powering up, another bright flash of golden-colored light erupted out of Quasar's body as his fiery, golden-yellow aura grew incredibly large before it slowly shrunk back down to its original size. As soon as the light quickly faded away, Captain Marvel was once again left speechless as she had just witnessed Quasar Kaze undergo another kind of transformation, with his power being even greater than what it was previously.

In this new form, Quasar had gained a few noticeable changes to his overall appearance. For instance, the solid, turquoise-colored eyes and the shiny, golden-blonde colored hair which was brought upon by his previous Super Saiyan form had now become even spikier than it was before, with three of his bangs sticking upwards with the rest of the hair, and thus making his hair appear to be a lot more defined than the previous transformation. Additionally, the increased energy radiation caused the bright, golden-yellow aura to take on a much more jagged, fierce flame-like appearance rather than it being smooth or flowing. Now, because the energy output and radiation appeared to be much higher than that of a normal Super Saiyan, the aura seemed to be pulsating at an even higher frequency. His muscle mass also barely increased, but the energy output had been multiplied by more than the original Super Saiyan transformation; such that a greater amount of Quasar's increased energy reserves can be used at once for much more powerful energy attacks without the onset of exhaustion later. Another notable feature of the form is the electrical discharge aura; as many light-blue (almost white) colored sparks of electricity appeared to be dancing around the young Saiyan warrior's body.

After this, Quasar stood tall as he looked straight at Captain Marvel with a proud and confident smirk on his face.

Quasar (Super Saiyan 2): Hmph!

As for Captain Marvel herself, she could only stare in awe as the incredibly large amount of energy that simply filled the air was more than enough to leave her utterly speechless.

Captain Marvel: (Y-You have gotta be kidding me right now...) Hey! Just what in the hell is this anyway?! And how come you got those little sparks of electricity flying all around you?

Without any hesitation, Quasar decided to fill in for his female opponent on his sudden leap in power, as well as giving her a brief tutorial lesson in regards to the evolutionary lineup of the Super Saiyan transformation.

Quasar (Super Saiyan 2): Shocking, isn't it? Earlier, you've been fighting me in just my regular Super Saiyan form, but this form right here is a level far above anyone you could ever imagine. This is a "Super Saiyan that has ascended beyond the level of a Super Saiyan" for even greater power! Or to put it more simply, you can just call this form "Super Saiyan 2".

Upon hearing this little nugget of information, Captain Marvel was once again left shocked, with her mouth left agape with absolute incredulity.

Captain Marvel: Wait, seriously?! You're saying there's a level beyond that of a Super Saiyan?

Quasar just smirked at his opponent before giving Captain Marvel an answer to her question.

Quasar (Super Saiyan 2): Hmph! That's right.

After the Super Saiyan gave her answer to the superheroine, Carol simply took a deep breath before staring directly back at Quasar with a soft smile on her face.

Captain Marvel: Man, kid... You sure know how to make things interesting, don't ya? Well then, why don't you show me what this new form of yours can really do?

Hearing this question for himself, Quasar wasted no time and quickly gave Captain Marvel his answer with an energetic look on his face.

Quasar (Super Saiyan 2): You better believe it!

Captain Marvel: That's the spirit, kid! Let's freakin' do this thing!

After this rather brief exchange, the two golden-haired warriors quickly got back into their respective fighting stances, waiting for the right moment to launch an attack. Then, as soon as they were finished staring directly into each other's eyes, Quasar and Captain Marvel both flew straight at one another before their fists eventually clashed, creating a powerful shockwave that sent a small amount of dust and rocks flying. Following this, Quasar and Captain Marvel took to the skies and then immediately started trading blows with one another as they both threw out various super-fast punches and kicks at each other whilst also alternating between dodging, blocking or redirecting the attacks to avoid taking any major damage.

Multiple shockwaves of various sizes eventually plagued the skies as a result of their constant clashing. Every so often, they would land a clean hit on one another, but they never amounted to more than a minor inconvenience to the two of them as they continued soaring through the sky in their fast-paced scuffle. Eventually, Quasar managed to land a strong enough hit on Captain Marvel to force her back a considerable distance, allowing him to quickly follow up with a quick stream of energy blasts in order to preoccupy her. As Carol recovered from the attack and started swatting the energy blasts out of her way, Quasar placed two fingers on his forehead and quickly vanished from view before quickly appearing behind Captain Marvel as he began reaching his hands out towards her, attempting to grab her and hold her in front of the blasts he had previously fired, only to be caught completely off guard by the female Avenger, as she very quickly spun around, grabbing hold of Quasar's neck and throwing him into the last few energy blasts that remained, though they still caused a considerable explosion, which engulfed the young Saiyan in a large cloud of smoke.

Shortly after the smoke quickly faded away, Quasar practically lunged at Captain Marvel, with his right hand pulled far back, as Carol quickly got into a defensive stance as a response, with her instinctively raising up her arms to block the incoming punch. Now despite the fact that she was able to successfully block it, the ascended Super Saiyan's punch actually packed a lot more power behind it than she was expecting as she was sent flying back. Not wanting to lose any momentum in the fight, Quasar used his Instant Transmission technique to quickly teleport right in front of Captain Marvel and started throwing lightning-fast jabs straight at his feminine opponent, which she could barely keep up with as Carol's defense and Quasar's impressive offense kept getting faster and faster until Captain Marvel abruptly hit the side of a large, rocky mountain. Then, with one last strong punch, Carol was forcefully sent flying backwards through the entirety of the mountain. Quasar then used Instant Transmission once again in order to appear on the other side of the mountain, but not before he started charging up another Galick Gun at his sides as he readied himself for Captain Marvel's immediate arrival.

As soon as she came out the other side of the destroyed mountain, Carol was able to regain her composure and then quickly turned around before launching herself directly towards Quasar with a superpowered energy fist as she delivered a strong right hook to Quasar's face, causing his charge to almost immediately vanish and also causing the ascended Super Saiyan to go flying back extremely fast and slamming into an adjacent rocky structure, causing parts of it to crumble and fall on top of him, covering him for the time being.

With a loud and vigorous shout, Quasar let loose a strong explosion of ki from his body, with him practically disintegrating every rock that was previously covering his body, as well as a fairly decent chunk of the mountain behind him. Following this, Quasar looked up to see Captain Marvel firing a barrage of Photon Blasts from both of her hands directly at the young Saiyan, who in turn managed to successfully dodge each one of them by moving with such great speed that it almost created the illusion of him actually using teleportation. Then, just when Quasar thought that he was in the clear, the young Super Saiyan's aura lit up as he immediately rushed over to his opponent while Carol had seized firing energy blasts and decided to put up her guard for any attack that Quasar might try to inflict upon her.

Upon getting close to his target, Quasar quickly threw a left hook straight at Captain Marvel's face, only for the female Avenger to quickly slide to the side in order to avoid getting hit as a strong gust of wind blew past her head after Quasar had missed throwing his left punch at her. Seeing this as a perfect opportunity to retaliate, Captain Marvel raised up her right arm and pulled it back extremely far before quickly thrusting it forward towards Quasar's face, hitting him right in the cheek with an open palm strike and then following it up with a roundhouse kick that sent him flying back. After quickly regaining his composure, Quasar landed back on his feet as he slid across the solid ground before he vanished into thin air, much to Carol's surprise. Then, without her even realizing it, Quasar appeared right behind her and then let out a loud yell which managed to grab the blonde-haired woman's attention.

Quasar (Super Saiyan 2): TERIAAAAAAAAA!!!

After he finished letting out his battle cry, Quasar thrusted his body forward at his opponent and then unleashed a series of spinning roundhouse kicks which not only caused a great amount of pain towards Captain Marvel, but also sent her flying backwards as she went flying several large rocky mountains before finally regaining her composure and then flew up into the air like a rocketship, with Quasar quickly flying straight after her in order to continue the battle. Upon getting high enough into the air, the two golden-haired fighters charged straight at each other one again, with a vast majority of their attacks clashing with one another, as they were both going straight back to soaring through the sky, frantically trying to hit one another, though this thankfully didn't last as long as before, as this time around Captain Marvel powered up to her absolute maximum before surrounding her entire body in a large gold, red, blue, and silver-colored energy sphere, with her using it as a shield and then ramming into her opponent with such great force that it actually sent Quasar flying back towards the ground.

Fortunately, Quasar managed to recover quickly by straightening himself out and then immediately landing on both of his feet instead of his face or body. As for Carol, she landed only a couple of feet away from where Quasar was currently standing before she flew straight towards him. As the female Avenger continued to approach, an idea popped into Quasar's head. Another smile of countless others found its way across Quasar's face as he raised his hands in front of his forehead, with him also his palms facing outward. But, he didn't do anything right away as he kept watching and waiting until Captain Marvel got just close enough. A bead of sweat rolled down the Super Saiyan's face, though he still had a smile on it, signifying he was both anxious and nervous. Then, after a grueling few seconds of patiently waiting for the right moment, Quasar shouted at the top of his lungs before calling out the name of his next technique.

Quasar (Super Saiyan 2): Solar Flare!!!

Captain Marvel: What?!!

It was then where a rather huge, bright flash of white, concentrated light bursted out of Quasar's forehead area, which Carol unfortunately looked straight at. Upon staring at the bright flash of light for more than a couple of seconds, Captain Marvel started screaming out in pain and quickly covered her eyes in a panic as the blinding light was too much for her to process.

Captain Marvel: AHHHHHH, MY EYES!!! I CAN'T SEE!!!

Even after opening her eyes moments after, she couldn't make out a thing. For right now, she was blinded, which Quasar took full advantage of by delivering a flurry of moderately strong punches and kicks to all over Captain Marvel's body before sending her flying back with one last one. As she went soaring, Quasar flew straight after her and then struck her with a powerful sidekick into the air. He then dashed right towards Captain Marvel and roundhouse punches her away before flying and quickly reappearing behind them to elbow them in the stomach as they turn around. Finally, Quasar attacks his opponent with a punching and kicking barrage and then kicking Captain Marvel up into the air before kneeling her right in the back, with him finally hitting the female Avenger over the noggin with a powerful double axe handle as she went crashing down to the ground, inflicting a high amount of damage.

After landing back onto the ground, Quasar was left pleasantly surprised to see the likes of Captain Marvel quickly emerging from the large crater and then charging straight towards the young Saiyan with a look of fierce determination in her eyes as she suddenly yelled at her opponent.

Captain Marvel: You're through!!!

Then, after she finished talking, Carol managed to catch Quasar by surprise as she slammed her right fist into the palm of her left hand, with her hand appearing to be engulf in flames (which might actually be her own cosmic energy), and then striking the young Saiyan warrior with a powerful uppercut that sent him flying up into the air. She then powered up as a fiery, orange-red colored aura completely surrounded her body and quickly persuaded the still airborne Quasar, with her kicking him away. Finally, Captain Marvel charges after her opponent and then backhand slaps the Super Saiyan down to the ground, inflicting a massive amount of damage.

Eventually, Quasar was able to get back onto his feet and power up once again, with the fiery, yellow-colored aura quickly reappearing around his body as he flew straight towards Captain Marvel like a shooting star. Upon seeing the spiky-haired warrior take to the skies, Carol prepared herself for another clash between her and the Saiyan from another world. However, right before she could even make a proper move, Quasar quickly managed to catch her completely off-guard as he started firing multiple one-handed Kamehameha waves from both of his hands, making Captain Marvel let out a loud, audible gasp from her mouth and forcing her to cross her arms together in order to block from the energy blasts.

As the Super Saiyan continued his relentless assault on the blonde-haired superheroine, Captain Marvel was unfortunately kept at bay as she was still forced to block and thus being unable to let her guard for even a second nor could she find a chance to escape, leaving her utterly stationary for the time being. As a result, Carol started to get more and more irritated by the predicament she found herself in.

Captain Marvel: Grr...!!! (Okay, this shit is REALLY starting to get on my nerves...!!!)

Fortunately enough for her, Captain Marvel's body started absorbing the energy blasts into herself (mainly her arms) as her power had already begun to increase at such an outstanding rate that she could actually feel herself becoming more and more powerful than the likes of Quasar without him even realizing it. Eventually, Carol decided that she was getting rather sick of being unable to go on the offensive and quickly brought her arms and legs outward as she began to expel an extremely large barrier of fiery, orange-colored energy from out of her body, which was enough for her to successfully block out Quasar's energy-based attacks, as well as destroying a massive amount of the environment below her very feet.

Upon seeing the barrier with his own eyes, Quasar quickly stopped his assault and was left utterly speechless as he had the chance to sense that Captain Marvel's power just skyrocketed out of nowhere.

Quasar (Super Saiyan 2): No way!!!

After seeing the energy barrier begin to slowly expand more and more, Quasar was left with no other choice but to land back onto the ground and watch as Captain Marvel's energy barrier slowly vanished into thin air and she did the same thing as he did by landing a couple of feet in front of him. It was then where the two blonde-haired fighters started breathing heavily like they both just finished running a marathon for several hours, which was a clear sign that the two of them were slowly beginning to get rather tired from the ensuing battle.

Then, shortly after the two warriors had a chance to catch their breath, Captain Marvel was the first one to speak up as she looked at the Saiyan with a focused glare on her face.

Captain Marvel: I'll be honest with ya, kid... In all my years of being a hero, I've never fought someone quite as powerful as you are.

As soon as she was done talking, Quasar quickly smiled at his opponent and gave her a rather wholesome response to her words.

Quasar (Super Saiyan 2): That's because you're really strong! I find that my toughest opponents always seem to bring out the best in me.

Upon hearing this, Captain Marvel simply smirked at the young Saiyan before speaking up once more.

Captain Marvel: Is that so? Well then, this should make things a lot more interesting, especially since I'm about to get much tougher!

Then, right after making this bold statement, Carol got back into her fighting stance. As for Quasar, he simply stared at the female Avenger for a couple of seconds before he started smiling at her once again. Quasar, being the competitive person that he is, could hardly contain his excitement if what she said about going all-out was true; thus making him want to do the same.

Quasar (Super Saiyan 2): Alright then. Let's do th-

However, just as he was about to finish his sentence, a deep, yet incredibly laid back male voice suddenly filled the air, which was enough to instantly grab both Quasar and Captain Marvel's attention.

???: Now, hold on just a second!

For a brief period of time, the two blonde-haired fighters were confused as to where the voice was coming from, only for Quasar, and by extension Uranus, to be the only ones who quickly recognized whose voice it was as everyone turned their heads in the direction that the voice was coming from, with them clearly seeing someone flying straight towards them at top speed, with this individual surrounded by a pure, yet translucent silver-white colored aura that completely enveloped his body. Quasar, Uranus, and Captain Marvel simply watched as the adult man quickly lost the white-colored aura surrounding him as the energy quickly dispersed into thin air and then softly landed on the ground right near them. Then, after making his little entrance, the man looked at the two fighters before he just as quickly smiled at the two of them.

The man who just appeared was none other than Oliver Kaze, who was the father of Quasar Kaze, the "heir" to the Kaze clan, and the legendary hero known as the "Blue Wind" of Gamindustri.

Oliver: Yo! How's it goin', son?

As soon as his teal-colored irises got a chance to look at the adult Saiyan with the long blue scarf, Quasar's face beamed with excitement as he waved at his father with a smile on his face.

Quasar (Super Saiyan 2): Hey there, pops!

It was then where the spirit of Uranus quickly appeared right beside Quasar and began asking her oldest friend a very important question.

Uranus: What are you doing here?

Oliver: Uhh, to watch my son's fight... Why else would I be here?

Upon hearing this response for herself, Uranus simply blinked and stared at the eldest Kaze with a surprised look on her face before deciding to ask Oliver another question.

Uranus: Huh? ... ... Okay, but how exactly did you get to this world? It was my understanding that only Quasar and I were sent to this alternate Earth curiosity of the eternal dragon.

However, right before Oliver could get a chance to answer the previous CPU of Planeptune's question, Captain Marvel decided to speak up, which managed to grab everyone's attention.

Captain Marvel: Hey, wait just a second there! Who the hell are you and why do you look exactly like Quasar?

Oliver: Name's Oliver Kaze, ma'am. And I'm also the father of the young man you just so happen to be fighting at the moment.

As soon as she heard this, Carol's eyes widened a little bit as she was not expecting to meet the father of Quasar Kaze today at all, with her then looking over at the Super Saiyan that she was still in the midst of fighting.

Captain Marvel: Say what?!! This guy's your father?

Quasar said nothing but simply nodded at the blonde-haired woman before Oliver decided to speak up once again.

Oliver: Now as for exactly how I got here, well... Why don't I let our two guests answer that question for me?

Everyone, with Oliver being the exception, looked at the older Kaze with a look of confusion on their faces as they had no idea what he was talking about. It was then where Oliver let out a soft chuckle from his mouth before he jerked his right thumb over towards a nearby mountain for emphasis.

Following this, the older Neptune from the Ultra Dimension came out of hiding and ran over to the group with a smile on her face before coming to an immediate halt and then waved at the two Saiyans before speaking up with an incredibly cheerful tone in her voice.

Neptune (Older): Hi there, guys! How's it going?

Confused, but nevertheless happy to see another familiar face, Quasar looked at the tall, lilac-haired girl for a little bit before he started asking her a few questions of his own.

Quasar (Super Saiyan 2): What the? Big Neptune?!! What in the world are you doing out here?

Neptune (Older): What else? To see you and this cool blonde babe here duking it out, of course.

This very casual response of hers actually caused both Quasar and Captain Marvel to gasp a little bit and look directly at the alternate dimension version of Neptune with a shocked expression on each of their faces as they began to subtly digest this new bit of information into their minds.

Quasar (Super Saiyan 2): Huh?!!

Captain Marvel: Seriously? You mean you've been here this WHOLE time?!!

Neptune simply responded to Carol's question with a rather friendly smile on her face along with her innocently scratching the back of her head.

Neptune (Older): Yeah, ya got me! Sorry about that. But after hearing about this from Oliver, Crostie and I just had to see what kind of person Quasar would be fighting for ourselves. Isn't that right, Crostie?

Then, shortly after she was done explaining herself to the female Avenger, Croire suddenly appeared right beside the older Neptune before she started talking to everyone.

Croire: Yeah, whatever! Now if you guys are done with all this idle chit-chat, would you mind getting back to fighting each other? I'm already getting tired of watching you guys twiddling your thumbs around instead of making things interesting.

Upon seeing the small fairy-like being with her own eyes, Captain Marvel looked at Croire for a few seconds before immediately turning her attention back to the likes of Quasar, Oliver, and Neptune.

Captain Marvel: That's quite a mouth on her. Is she always like this?

While Neptune laughed nervously, Quasar and Oliver both shrugged their shoulders whilst looking at the female Avenger with a straight look on each of their faces.

Quasar and Oliver: You have no idea.

After hearing this rather blunt response from the two Saiyans, Croire simply glared at Quasar and Oliver with an annoyed expression on her face as she personally did not like how fast the two of them answered Carol's question, with her even blowing a raspberry at the father and son duo, although they did not pay it any might whatsoever.

Following this brief exchange, everyone gasped a little bit as they all suddenly sensed a reasonably strong power level approaching them. After a couple of minutes passed, the group watched as somebody completely new landed on the ground right beside Captain Marvel with both of his arms crossed.

This individual was a tall, muscular adult man with a square, chiseled chin who wore a dark, navy-blue (almost black) colored skin-tight bodysuit with matching blue-colored gloves and boots; which were also accented with bright, golden-colored metal plating on his shoulders, three glowing circles on his chest area, wristbands, a golden belt around his waist, and finally his ankles with his suit also possessing matching golden-colored trimmings. Lastly, the most iconic feature of the male superhero was a shiny, golden-colored helmet with white eyes that covered the upper part of his face with bright, crimson-red colored T-shaped horns adorned on the front of the helmet.

???: I hope this isn't a "private party".

As soon as she saw this person with her own eyes, Captain Marvel looked over to her left and quickly addressed the person who was standing right beside her.

Captain Marvel: Nova?!! What are you doing here?

The tall man with the golden, bucket-like helmet over his head, who was now called "Nova" a.k.a Richard Rider, was a member of the intergalactic police force known as the Nova Corps, as well as being the host of the entire "Nova Force", which was a vast energy source that he can access to grant himself a number of superhuman attributes.

Nova: You know, that's funny. I was just about to ask you the same thing, Danvers. Like why are you fighting some kid who looks like he's going to some kind of anime convention?

Naturally surprised by this newcomer, Quasar started speaking up in an attempt to try and understand what was going on.

Quasar (Super Saiyan 2): Woah woah woah! Wait a second... Carol, do you two know each other?

As soon as she heard her name being called out, Captain Marvel looked back over at the Super Saiyan before deciding to answer his question just as quickly as when he asked it.

Captain Marvel: Yeah, you could say that.

Just then, Uranus cleared her throat in order to grab everyone's attention.

Uranus: *Ahem* Please everyone, calm down. If you would just give me a moment, I will gladly explain everything to try and clear up any and all confusion.

It was then where the spirit of Planeptune's former CPU, along with Quasar, Oliver, Neptune, and Croire decided to explain to Nova exactly who they are, where they all came from, how they came to Earth in the first place, and why Captain Marvel and Quasar were even fighting to begin with.

And so, after ten long minutes had passed, Nova had finally gotten a clearer understanding of the situation.

Nova: I gotta say... That sure is one hell of a story you guys got there.

Captain Marvel: Tell me about it. I didn't believe it at first, but my gut just kept telling me that I could trust him.

The leader of the Nova Corps then turned his attention over to the visitors from another parallel dimension, specifically Quasar Kaze, before he started talking once again.

Nova: So you and Ms. Marvel here have been having a little sparring match because the two of you were just bored out of your minds, is that it?

Quasar smiled at the man with the golden helmet before quickly providing him with an answer to his question.

Quasar (Super Saiyan 2): That's right. So do you think you guys could let me and the Captain get back to it?

After letting the young Saiyan speak, Nova ultimately decided to just sit back and enjoy the show alongside Oliver Kaze, Neptune from the Ultra Dimension, and finally Croire since he was quite interested in seeing what Quasar and the "Saiyan Race" were truly capable of.

Nova: You know what? Sure! After all, I wouldn't want to miss out on a good fight like this.

Oliver: Excellent choice, my good man. C'mon, let's give these kids some personal space...

It was then where Oliver, Nova, Neptune, and Croire made their way over to a nearby mountain and simply got comfortable as they were now all mere spectators to this incredible battle between these two incredibly strong fighters that was about to get underway.

Neptune (Older): So guys, who do you think is gonna win this?

Nova: Honestly... It's kinda hard to say, but something tells me that these two are only scratching the surface of what they are truly capable of.

The older Saiyan then nodded in agreement with the leader of the Nova Corps as he could tell that things were about to heat up.

Oliver: Exactly. To tell ya the truth, I'm actually getting goosebumps and they haven't started yet.

Unbeknownst to everyone else, Croire's eyes were focused exclusively on Captain Marvel who was already in a fighting stance as she and Quasar were about to resume their fight.

Croire: (Something tells me that Quasar hasn't noticed what this blonde broad is truly capable of... This oughta be interesting to see...)

Back on the battlefield, Quasar was the first person to break the silence as he spoke to Captain Marvel with an enthusiastic smile on his face.

Quasar (Super Saiyan 2): Alright Carol, are you ready to get back to where we left off?

Captain Marvel: Oh, you better believe it, kid!

After listening to Captain Marvel's words, the smile on Quasar's face began to grow even larger as he could hardly contain his excitement for much longer.

Then, after a couple of seconds passed, Quasar and Captain Marvel both tensed up a little bit as they quickly enveloped themselves in their respective auras before Quasar, who was the first one to properly resume the fight, simply catapulted himself towards Captain Marvel and throwing an uppercut-esc punch at her, which the blonde superheroine instinctively blocked, though this did force her back, with her feet ripping up the ground as she went sliding backwards, with Quasar keeping up a fast stream of punches and kicks, which Carol kept blocking. This unrelenting barrage of attacks was too much for even Captain Marvel to handle as she went busting through a large stone pillar, with it being painfully obvious that this wasn't enough to make an opening in her defense.

Once they had reached the ground again and immediately after Quasar threw another left hook which was aimed straight for Carol's face, she ducked under it before quickly following it up by jumping up and slamming her head straight into the Saiyan's chin, forcing him back. She then took this opportunity to strike as she jumped backwards, then extended her right arm towards her opponent, and finally started letting loose a storm of Photon Blasts from her hand, with all of them taking off straight towards Quasar. The young Super Saiyan quickly recovered and ran straight towards his opponent, with him even knocking away any stray energy blasts that drew too close to him as he pursued Captain Marvel like a predator hunting its prey. Eventually, Quasar and Carol's fists started clashing once again before they got sent flying backwards. The Saiyan then raised his right arm upwards and began forming a golden-yellow colored, razor-sharp disc of energy over his head before quickly hurling it at his opponent, until the disc suddenly split into five more energy discs, which actually managed to catch Captain Marvel off guard as she had never seen this technique before in her life and did not want to be on the receiving end of it.

The female Avenger quickly dodged four of the five Destructo Discs before catching the final disc with her right hand and threw it back at Quasar, who simply fired a ki blast in order to destroy it in a relatively small explosion. Wasting no time at all, Captain Marvel powered up and dashed straight towards Quasar, with her delivering a rapid combo of punches and kicks to her opponent before she sent him flying back with a powerful, energy-infused right hook. Captain Marvel then fired six more Photon Blasts from both of her hands at the young Saiyan, who was able to successfully recover from the previous attack and immediately spotted the two golden-orange, red, blue, and silver-colored energy waves flying straight towards him.

In response to the imposing energy blasts, Quasar quickly shot up into the air, though the energy blasts still persisted as he soared through the air, causing him to fire a few energy blasts of his own at them, destroying the majority, but still leaving two beams behind. Eventually, once he was a couple hundred feet off the ground, Quasar stopped in place and looked towards the two energy blasts that were still trailing towards him.

Quasar (Super Saiyan 2): Hehehe! Not bad, Carol... Not bad at all... But don't think for a second that THIS'LL STOP ME!!!

Right after he finished saying this, Quasar tensed up and instantly powered up as his electric, golden-colored aura suddenly reappeared around his body, with it growing even larger as it almost began reaching the very heavens itself.

Meanwhile on the sidelines, Oliver stood proudly as he continued to watch his son's power continue to rise higher and higher with a proud and confident smirk on his face.

Oliver: Hehehehe... Attaboy!

In addition to his own reaction, Neptune and Croire simply watched in awe as Quasar just seemed to be getting stronger the longer this fight continued. However, out of everyone in the group, Nova was the only one who was genuinely at a loss for words as he had never seen anything like this kid before.

Nova: H-Holy hell...!!! What power...

Cutting back over to the fight, as soon as Quasar was done powering himself up, the two Photon Blasts ended making contact with the Saiyan's aura. However, instead of them dissipating like he thought they would, the two energy blasts were slowly beginning to push against his aura, leaving Quasar utterly shocked.

Quasar (Super Saiyan 2): What the?!!

Confused, but determined nonetheless to still keep on fighting, Quasar's muscles started to bulge outwards as he forcefully powered up his aura even more, with a few drops of sweat gathering on his forehead in the meantime, but the energy blasts still persisted, much to the Saiyan's chagrin. Knowing that what he was doing wasn't an entirely bright idea, Quasar still kept up with the forceful increase of his Super Saiyan strength. He then quickly took notice that the twin energy blasts attempting to force themselves through his aura were starting to grow more and more unstable. As this happened, a confident smile found its way onto Quasar's face as he knew he only had to keep this up for a bit longer, then he could get back down on the ground and continue his fight with Captain Marvel.

Unfortunately, just when he had any chances of getting his hopes up, Captain Marvel suddenly appeared right in front of Quasar and behind the two lingering Photon Blasts with a semi-serious looking glare on her face. Then, right before Quasar could properly understand the situation he was about to find himself in, Carol reached both of her arms out and grabbed the two energy blasts before she started squishing them together, with it eventually combining them into a large, singular energy sphere.

After she was done making this large orb of cosmic energy, Captain Marvel swiftly tossed the energy blast straight at Quasar. With their energies combined into one, it tore straight through Quasar's Super Saiyan aura and made contact with the young Saiyan's chest area, erupting into an extremely large explosion, which also sent Quasar careening across the bright-blue sky, with Carol quickly trailing after him. As he was overwhelmed with pain, Quasar took the time to stop himself mid-flight and correct himself, though he was eventually greeted with multiple repeated punches all across his body by the airborne Captain Marvel. Eventually, Carol delivered a strong left hook right to Quasar's face before quickly spinning him around and kicking him down towards an all-new terrain as they suddenly began to fight in a mountainous area at an unknown location. The new environment appeared to be set on a clifftop above the clouds, overlooking several other tall mountains that were off in the distance. The only major element of note is that of a large, triangular-shaped rock standing at the right side of the clifftop. She then quickly charged up and fired another Photon Blast towards Quasar as he descended towards the ground, which only further served to speed up his descent.

Upon his body making contact with the solid ground, a large dust cloud was brought up as the Photon Blast that carried him to the ground exploded, blocking Carol's view of Quasar, though this didn't stop her from pursuing him anyway. She headed straight for the cloud of brown dust, but her pursuit was abruptly put on hold as the young Super Saiyan suddenly appeared right in front of her as he used the Instant Transmission technique again to completely catch her off-guard.

Then, without any hesitation, Quasar rushed over towards Captain Marvel in order to deliver a dragon claw-like slicing roundhouse kick, then a forward somersault kick and a cartwheel kick, before finishing the attack with a powerful uppercut-like kick that launched his opponent into the air. Shortly after recovering from this attack, Captain Marvel began to charge up yet another golden-orange colored sphere in both of her hands and flew straight towards Quasar before she starting attacking the Super Saiyan with a flurry of punches and kicks, with her quickly ending the combo with a left hook kick that sent her spiky-haired opponent flying backwards.

Captain Marvel: Oh, no you don't!

Right after she said this, Captain Marvel charged straight at the likes of Quasar before quickly uppercutting him straight into the air. She then powered up once again, only this time her aura started to resemble a torrent of red-hot flames as she quickly pursued her opponent who was still airborne before sending him flying away again with a powerful kick to his midsection. After successfully knocking her dazed opponent away for the second time in a row, Carol dashed straight towards Quasar again and delivered a strong backhand slap to his spine that sent him barrelling down to the ground, with the impact alone being so strong that it created a massive crater in the rocky terrain.

Carol, who was still floating in the air, looked down at the ground to see that Quasar was still conscious after that last attack and immediately fired another Photon Blast down at the Saiyan. However, before it could make contact with his body, Quasar teleported away from the incoming blast as it created a big explosion on the ground as he flew higher and higher into the sky, with Captain Marvel following suit as she did not want to lose sight of him.

As the two golden-haired warriors continued to ascend into the bright-blue sky, Captain Marvel extended her right arm forward and fired a bright-yellow energy wave at her opponent, with Quasar doing the same as he also shot a yellow-colored wave of energy from his right hand. Eventually, the two energy waves ended up clashing with one another, which was then shortly followed by an extremely large explosion that was so powerful that it caused both Captain Marvel and Quasar to start spinning out of control as they both went flying backwards.

Back on the sidelines, the small group of spectators that followed Quasar and Captain Marvel to the rocky mountain area were seen floating in the air as Oliver Kaze was carrying the likes of Neptune like a princess, while Nova and Croire looked up at the sky with an intrigued look on each of their faces.

Nova: What the hell is going on up there? I can't even see them.

Croire: You and me both, bucket-head. But hey, at least those two are putting on one hell of a show. I just hope they continue to make things more interesting for me.

As for Neptune and Oliver, the two of them just stared at the semi-cloudy sky with both of them being unsure about what was going on up there, nor were they certain on whether or not Quasar was winning the fight against Captain Marvel or not.

Neptune (Older): Do you think Quasar has a chance?

Oliver: Honestly, I'm not sure. But I have no doubt that my son will be able to turn this battle around in his favor. After all, we're talking about the same boy who defeated the Deity of Sin, Rei Ryghts, Majin Buu, Frieza, Cell, Quasar Black, Kurome and many powerful foes in the past.

Upon hearing this for himself, Nova turned his head over to the older Kaze with a surprised look on his face as he tried to comprehend that his son was capable of defeating that many powerful warriors on his own, whereas Croire simply just smirked at the Nova Corps leader since she found his shocked expression to be quite humorous.

Meanwhile, Quasar and Captain Marvel were seen still barreling backwards in a very uncontrollable manner as they both struggled to try and regain their composure in these circumstances. Eventually, after a few minutes of flying backwards had passed, Quasar's eyes quickly spotted a nearby tall mountain coming into his field of vision, with the same thing happening to the likes of Captain Marvel as the two warriors instantly knew what they had to do in order to regain their balance.

Then, after finally regaining their composure in mid-air, Quasar and Captain Marvel quickly landed on the side of their respective mountains and then jumped off the large rocky structure before the two golden fighters started flying through the air like a shooting star in the night sky in an effort to get close to one another and continue their battle.

After flying in the sky for a couple of minutes, Quasar and Carol came face-to-face once more and immediately started to get back into the action as the two warriors swung their right fists forward and clashed with one another. Then, after this brief clash of fists, the young Super Saiyan and the female Avenger had once again started exchanging lightning-fast blows with one another, all the while they were slowly descending out of the air. With each and every single punch and kick that they threw at one another, Quasar and Captain Marvel just kept on getting faster and faster with their attacks as the two golden-haired fighters continuously delivered a series of powerful, almost earth-shattering blows towards each other, with even some of them managing to draw rather small traces of blood from one another with their respective strikes. From any normal person's point of view, the sheer force of these attacks would be powerful enough to level buildings and possibly entire mountains with relative ease.

It was then where the two ultimately ended this exchange by once again swinging their respective right hands forward and clashed their right fists into each other, with the air bursting due to the overwhelming power of both fighters as it created a massive shockwave that simply resonated all throughout the air as it even managed to completely disperse a handful of clouds that were close by. Afterwards, the two fighters leaped backwards as Quasar extended his right arm towards Captain Marvel with an open palm. Then, right after he finished letting out a battle cry from his mouth, Quasar shot a light-blue colored energy beam from his hand and aimed it directly at Captain Marvel, who quickly saw the ki wave approaching her and easily deflected it using her left arm as it was sent flying away.

Upon seeing this, Quasar was left utterly speechless as he was not expecting Carol's instincts to be so incredibly high, with the blonde-haired woman just smirking at the young Saiyan. It was then where Quasar started thinking to himself on what to do next.

Quasar (Super Saiyan 2): (Damn...! I gotta find a way to catch her off guard...)

However, right before he could even get the chance to come up with a game plan, Captain Marvel quickly vanished into thin air before teleporting right above Quasar and knocked him out of the air with a powerful double axe handle that sent him barreling down to the ground like a cannonball. Wasting no time at all, Carol began charging up a fiery sphere of energy in each of her hands before combining them and then firing an extremely large red-orange colored energy wave at the Saiyan, with it hitting him right in the midsection as it inflicted a very considerable amount of damage onto his body as he went crashing into the ground below him, resulting in Quasar also creating a massive crater in the rocky terrain.

After a few seconds passed, Quasar managed to leap out of the "Super Saiyan" shaped hole in the ground and got back on his feet, only for him to start breathing heavily as it was becoming clear that he was slowly becoming more and more exhausted with every second passing. Something that even Captain Marvel took notice of as she started looking down at the exhausted Saiyan warrior with both of her arms folded and a "somewhat" disappointed look on her face.

Captain Marvel: Come on, kid. This can't be all that you got, right? 'Cause if it is, then I'm afraid that this fight isn't gonna last much longer at this rate.

Quasar, not looking to throw in the towel just yet, simply responded to Captain Marvel's words by taking a deep breath and then started to power up once again as the sheer size of his golden-colored aura kept getting larger and larger, in addition to several light-blue sparks of electricity surrounding his body as he began screaming at the top of his lungs, which was another clear indicator that his overall power was beginning to rise. Something that even Captain Marvel took notice of as she began to visibly sweat just from sensing the young Super Saiyan's energy signature.

Captain Marvel: W-What the hell?!!

Quasar (Super Saiyan 2): HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

Then, right after he was done powering up, Quasar vanished into thin air before quickly reappearing right in front of his opponent and then hitting her straight in the stomach area with a deadly punch, then a downward heel kick to the left side of her face and an upward kick directly to her back, which was immediately followed up by an elbow smash straight to the right side of her head, and then finishing the combo off by delivering an powerful uppercut straight to her chin, which caused her to be sent flying high up into the air. As soon as Carol tried to recover from the last attack, Quasar suddenly appeared right in front of her and then charged straight towards her at such speeds that she couldn't even properly follow his movements, with the young Super Saiyan hitting Captain Marvel with a strong, ki-infused right hook straight to the face that actually managed to sent her flying backwards across the bright-blue sky and at such breakneck speeds that it broke the sound barrier, with her eventually crashing into the ground below their feet. Then, shortly after she went soaring backwards, another idea crossed Quasar's mind, with him believing that this method would help him win the fight for sure.

When the smoke finally began to clear up, Captain Marvel was seen lying on the ground with a couple of bruises and scuff markings on her uniform, along with a few cuts and scratches on her face and body as the female Avenger seemed to be in a great deal of pain, with her even struggling to find the strength needed to stand back on her own two feet.

Captain Marvel: ... Tch... A-Argh...! Man, that REALLY hurt... Grr... Damn that little punk...!

Unfortunately for the blonde superheroine, she would not even get a chance to fully take it easy, because as soon as she managed to get back onto her feet (albeit it was a bit of a struggle), Carol's eyes looked up to see the likes of Quasar powering up one last time as he began putting both of his hands forward for a brief moment before quickly moving both hands over to his side as his body bent over slightly, with him also cupping said hands together as he immediately got into position.

Quasar (Super Saiyan 2): Here goes! Galick... Kaaaa... Meeee... Haaaa... Meeee...

Upon seeing Quasar charging up his signature technique in mid-air, Captain Marvel's eyes widened like dinner plates for a little bit before quickly deciding to put a stop to it.

Captain Marvel: I don't think so!

Shortly after saying those words, Carol's right hand started to glow a familiar golden-orange color as she shot another Photon Blast up into the sky, with it heading straight towards Quasar in an attempt to try and stop him from firing the Kamehameha wave down at the surface where she was currently standing.

However, right before the blast could even connect with his body, the young Saiyan from Gamindustri teleported away from the incoming attack, which left Captain Marvel completely perplexed as she was not expecting this to happen whatsoever.

Captain Marvel: What?!! Where'd he go?!!

Then, as soon as she began looking around the entire mountain region trying to find out where her Saiyan opponent disappeared to, Carol's blood instantly ran cold as Quasar suddenly appeared right behind the female Avenger with him still charging up the Kamehameha wave in the palm of his hands.

Carol quickly turned around to see the likes of Quasar getting ready to fire his signature attack at her and she was actually so shocked that she could only say one thing on her mind.

Captain Marvel: OHHHHHH SSSSSSHHHHHHHHIIII----!!!

Quasar (Super Saiyan 2): HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In a very swift motion, Quasar swung both of his arms forward and then fired an extremely large whitish-blue colored beam of energy (mostly resembling the Super Kamehameha) with several swirls of purple-colored ki (resembling the Earth-Splitting Galick Gun) directly towards Captain Marvel at point-blank range, which resulted in the female Avenger being completed engulfed in the massive energy wave as it traveled very far and ripping straight through both the ground, as well as a large mountain that was previously in the distance. The sheer force of the Galick Kamehameha wave was so powerful that it actually resulted in a rather huge explosion that nearly destroyed the entire mountain range like a nuclear bomb going off.

After a couple of seconds passed, an extremely tired, yet still transformed Quasar was seen having finished unleashing his signature attack upon his opponent as he then started lowering his arms, with him now breathing in and out in a manner much heavier than usual, suggesting that he had used up a considerably large amount of energy in his Kamehameha wave.

On the sidelines, Oliver and the others were all left completely speechless over the sheer power of Quasar's most powerful attack, especially Nova since he had never anything like that attack in his entire space-fighting career, let alone from a single person who looked not that much older than a seventeen-year old highschool student with spiky, blonde-colored hair.

Nova: Holy... freakin' crap! Just what the hell IS this kid?!!

Croire: Hehehehe... Nice job there, Quasar Kaze. You might've just clenched the match in HER favor instead of yours. Now, let's see how long you'll last against her.

It was then where the other Neptune and Oliver turned their attention over to the small, tan-skinned fairy sitting on her book as the two of them were a bit confused by what she meant.

Neptune (Older): Wait, what?

Oliver: What's that supposed to mean?

Now even though she really did not like having to repeat herself, Croire simply sighed a little bit before deciding to give the father of Quasar Kaze and her lilac-haired "friend" a very detailed explanation on what she actually meant.

Croire: Let's just say... I've been paying VERY close attention to Ms. Marvel ever since our little Saiyan friend decided to go full-on blonde. What he doesn't seem to realize is that he's been doing nothing but making his opposition much stronger than he could even imagine.

Neptune simply looked at Croire with a somewhat blank expression on her face as an imaginary question mark symbol appeared above her head.

Neptune (Older): Say what?

It was then Nova decided to throw in his two-cents into the conversation as he seemed to understand what the oracle was saying.

Nova: Basically, your friend down there doesn't understand that Danvers actually has a few tricks up her sleeves, and something tells me that she's about to show us what she can really do.

Upon hearing this for himself, Oliver began looking down at the massive dust cloud below with a stoic, yet focused look on his face before he suddenly felt a rather huge energy signature emanating from it, which actually managed to send a large shiver down his spine.

Oliver: (What the hell?! Is that who I think it is?)

Meanwhile, back on the other mountain side, Quasar simply started looking at the large cloud of brown-colored dust that was still left behind from his previous attack which nearly ripped apart the entire mountain region, with him checking to see whether or not Captain Marvel was actually still alive.

Then, after a couple of seconds passed, Quasar's blood went cold and his teal-colored irises quickly shrank as he instantly sensed a huge, yet familiar surge of energy in the air around him.

Quasar (Super Saiyan 2): N-No way...! This power... It can't be!

As Quasar began sweating like crazy, the young Saiyan quickly turned around as he suddenly felt something hitting him right in the chest, with such a great amount of force that it actually made him go sliding backwards against the rocky terrain before coming to a screeching halt.

This single blow was more than enough evidence for the likes of Quasar to fully comprehend that Captain Marvel was still very much alive and well, as the female Avenger stood tall and proud right in front of the Saiyan from another world with a smirk on her face as she had apparently absorbed every single ounce of energy from the Kamehameha wave, which was more than enough for Carol to go straight into her Binary Form.

In this state, Carol's physical appearance remained largely the same as her base form, except for a few major differences; such as her eyes now glowing an extremely bright-yellow color, her natural pale-peach colored skin gaining a much lighter complexion to it, fiery yellow-colored hair that also appeared to be glowing along with being slightly wilder and more solid than normal, with it mainly having no loose strands, and finally her body now being completely surrounded by a very complex golden-orange, silverish-white, vermillion-red, and cobalt-blue colored aura that appeared to be consisting of rippling, fire-like energy, along with an incredibly thin, fiery-yellow outline that surrounded her body.

Quasar was left utterly speechless at the sight of Carol's new form, with the incredibly high increase in her power being too much for his brain to properly comprehend.

Quasar (Super Saiyan 2): (T-This is insane... Her power's completely skyrocketed...!!)

Captain Marvel (Binary Form): Heh! Thanks for all that energy, kiddo... Now I'll show you my TRUE POWER!!!

Then, shortly after making this fairly bold statement, Carol clenched both of her gloved hands into fists as her cosmic energy had begun pulsating all throughout her body, with her even letting out a loud, fierce yell as she powered up.

Captain Marvel (Binary Form): HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

As the female Avenger's energy began to rise even higher and higher than it did before, the entire mountain range started shaking rather violently, along with the air itself becoming a whole lot more tense as Quasar used both of his arms to shield his face from the strong gust of wind that was flowing all around him. The young Super Saiyan also appeared to be quite stunned as he could only stare in awe at the incredible display of strength that Captain Marvel was producing.

Then, without any sort of warning, Carol instantly dashed straight towards the likes of Quasar as such blistering speeds that he could not even see with his own eyes and ended up nailing the starstruck Saiyan in the face with a powerful right hook that sent him flying backwards an incredibly long distance. She then followed it up by teleporting right behind the Saiyan and striking him with a semi-vicious combo attack comprising of lightning-fast punches and kicks, which was then followed up with an uppercut, along with a downward punch before finishing the combo off by with a roundhouse kick that knocked Quasar straight into the air. Captain Marvel then flew upwards to meet up where Quasar was headed and quickly slammed both of her hands down with a double axe handle, which was more than enough to knock the young Saiyan into the ground so hard that he created a huge crater in the rocky terrain.

Following this, Quasar struggled to get back to his feet as his body was filled with immense pain. And unfortunately for the young Saiyan, things were only going to get worse for him as he quickly spotted the likes of Captain Marvel flying straight towards him at full speed, with her cocking her right arm back in order to throw another punch at her opponent.

Upon seeing this, Quasar started firing a barrage of ki blasts from both of his hands in an attempt to keep Carol away from him. Unfortunately, this effort was not enough to keep Captain Marvel at bay as she flew straight through the energy blasts with relative ease, with her body naturally absorbing a good number of them as they also continuously fueled her power.

Captain Marvel (Binary Form): See ya!

It was then where the supercharged Captain Marvel threw a devastating right hook at her opponent, which was so powerful that actually managed to create an extremely large explosion with a bright, golden-orange colored dome being formed as a result of Carol's energy.

Meanwhile on the sidelines, Neptune actually cringed a tiny bit as she couldn't help but feel bad for her friend Quasar in this situation.

Neptune (Older): Oh! Man, that's definitely gotta hurt.

Oliver, Nova, and Croire on the other hand were solely focused on the battle at hand, with the father of Quasar Kaze being the first person to speak up as he looked over to the likes of Nova in order to ask the man with the golden helmet a very important question.

Oliver: Well, damn... I wasn't expecting that. Now if I were a betting man, I'd wager that Ms. Marvel just unlocked some kind of transformation after tanking my son's most powerful attack, is that it?

Nova: Something like that. She calls it her "Binary Form" and it's basically what happens whenever she absorbs an enormous amount of energy at once, increasing her strength, speed, and overall combat prowess by a great margin. Though, I'm not exactly big on the name, but don't tell her I said that. She'll probably kick my ass for making fun of her.

Upon hearing this for himself, Oliver's eyes widened a little bit as he was more intrigued by how Carol's power-up worked and instantly saw it as something similar, yet vastly different from that of the Super Saiyan transformation that he, his son Quasar, and many other Saiyans have been able to achieve over the years.

As for Croire, she simply looked at what was going on down below with a calm expression on her face as she actually figured out Captain Marvel's secret long before anyone else could ever figure it out, though she mostly kept that information to herself as she found it to be a lot more amusing.

Croire: (Oh man, this fight just keeps on getting better and better with each and every second passing! I only wish that I had some popcorn and a large can of soda or something, but I suppose seeing these two dukin' it out oughta be more than enough for me to chew on. Now then, let's see how far this show will last. Try not to disappoint me too much, you two.)

Cutting back over to the battlefield, the explosion finally subsided and when the smoke began to clear up, Binary was seen hovering above the ground as she looked down upon the likes of Quasar Kaze, who was not only back in his base form after the previous attack, but he appeared to be mostly unconscious as well.

After staring at Quasar's face for a few minutes, Captain Marvel simply uttered a single sentence which was mostly aimed towards the unconscious Saiyan warrior.

Captain Marvel (Binary Form): Not a bad hustle, kid... But it looks like I win.

Then, after she finished declaring herself as the winner, Carol turned around and started to float away from where Quasar was lying as she felt like the fight was over and she could get back to enjoying her afternoon.

Narrator: "We have just witnessed the impossible! Without a single warning, Captain Marvel was able to overwhelm our beloved hero Quasar after revealing her true power! After taking the full brunt of the female Avenger's might first-hand, it would seem that the young Saiyan is now down for the count. But is the fight really over?
