Neptune: Take this, Vert!

Vert: We'll see about that.

Vert's character was on the verge of death but the same goes for Neptune's. Neptune tried to do a finishing move but Vert ended up countering the attack and making this 50th game her win.

Neptune: Nepu?!

Vert: You were close but not close enough.

Nepgear: I made tea everyone!

Nepgear brought a tray with the tea set on it. She placed it on the coffee table which was located in the living room. We were all there passing the time as Summer Vacation is finally near it's end. I took a cup and was the first to taste Nepgear's tea.

Y/N: You make one of the best teas Nepgear.

Nepgear: Oh shucks. It's not that great...

I could see Nepgear's face turning red at my compliment. We've been passing the time doing typical things. Playing games, eating pudding, and going out here and there once in a while. But today I've decided to go somewhere interesting. I placed my cup of tea on the saucer and made my announcement.

Y/N: Alright girls! Let's make this final day of summer our bestest one!

They all listened to me intently.

Y/N: If I'm not mistaken...

Using ARC, I showed the girls about an anime convention being held in the city. They looked fascinated immediately.

Neptune: Ooo~ This world has these too?

Y/N: This is one of the biggest anime convention held in Japan. It only happens once a year.

Vert: It certainly looks interesting...

Everyone stared at Noire.

Noire: W-Why are you guys looking at me like that?

Blanc: Isn't this your field?

Noire: I don't follow.

Neptune: Hehe... You'll follow soon enough~

Neptune pushed Noire upstairs and the rest followed except me. I'm pretty sure I know what's Neptune planning. I went to my room to dress up for this occasion.

Timeskip (Convention)

(This is yours)

We took the train and in no time at all we had already reached the convention. The train station was under the convention so we had to take the flight of stairs in order to reach the entrance.

Y/N: (It's a good thing I kept this.)

While admiring the outfit I found in my closet, we reached the beginning point for the convention. Although it had begun only for 2 hours, the place is packed with people. It is expected from the most biggest anime convention.

Neptune: Got to hand it to the people here.

Vert: Not even the biggest concerts in Leanbox has this many people.

Ram: Stop gawking and let's do something already!

All: Alright!

This convention had it all. From cosplay competition to the newest game release. It almost felt impossible to attend to every booth. When we we're near the stage for the cosplay competition I saw one of the few participants dressed up as...

Neptune: Nepu?! Isn't that me?!

Neptune pointed at the person who cosplayed as Purple Heart. But what made me surprised was Neptune only used HDD in front of people once. The woman who managed to make this outfit surprised me a bit. She captured every detail perfectly.

Ram: I wonder what else does this place has to offer?

???: <whisper> Let me show you.

3rd P.O.V

Ram turned to see a woman whose hair is long and blonde in colour. She also had quite the size for her chest and was a little bit shorter than you. She was wearing a beige sleeveless shirt and wore a black skirt.

Ram: Who are you?

Through all the noise made, the rest of the group couldn't hear the conversation being made.

Maria: My name's Maria. I'm the organiser of this convention. There's something very interesting happening outside. Let me show you the way.

Ram: Really? Wait, let me tell the rest.

Maria grabbed Ram's shoulder stopping her.

Maria: It looks like they're busy with the competition here. I don't think you should disturb them.

Ram: Okay. At least let me bring Rom.

Maria: I guess that's fine. Don't take too long.

Ram tapped Rom's shoulder and asked her to accompany her. She naively accepted and went outside the convention with Maria.

Blanc turned around to see Rom and Ram but they had already left. She looked around for them but they were nowhere to be seen. You noticed this and asked her what's wrong.

Blanc: Rom and Ram disappeared.

Y/N: Huh?! They must have went somewhere while we were focused on the competition.

Vert: What's seems to be the problem?

Nepgear: Eh? Where did Rom and Ram go?

Vert: I see now.

Y/N: I'll help finding them.

Luna: I'll follow Papa.

Blanc: Thanks Y/N, Luna.

Neptune: Looks like we don't have a choice I'll-

Y/N: The rest of you stay here. It'll be hard to find someone in this place thanks to the hundreds of people here.

Neptune: Aww...

Noire: Don't complain. I'll make sure Neptune doesn't go do something stupid like she always does.

Neptune: I don't want to hear that from a loner.

Noire: I see an eggplant over there.

Neptune: Okay ma'am! I'm yours to command!

Noire: Good.

You laughed a bit before starting your search. Blanc looked at the interior of the convention while you and Luna took the exterior. The outside had a few booths and was crowded.

Y/N: Urgh... (Damn it! Now of all times?)

Your head began to hurt. Trying your best to ignore it, you passed through the throngs in hope of bumping into them with a bit of help from Luna. You did bump into someone but it wasn't them.

Y/N: Sorry. I didn't see where I was going.

Maria: It's okay.

The blonde haired girl looked at you in shocked. Curious, you asked her a question.

Y/N: Um... Why are you looking at me like that?

Maria: Aren't you that boy whose associated with Purple Heart?

Y/N: Y-Yeah, I think I am.

Maria: So you were there...

Y/N: What do you mean?

Maria: N-Nothing. It's just... I'm a fan of Purple Heart or to be more exact the group Purple Heart is in.

You knew what that meant. She was one of those people who took interest in the CPU's appearance.

Y/N: Oh, I almost forgot. Have you seen two girls whose dressed up as a blue and white wizard?

Maria: You mean Rom and Ram?

Behind her was the both of them. The two of them turned around to see you. Rom and Ram ran to your sides with a smile on their face. You weren't mad at them. You placed both of your hands on their head relieved to see them.

Y/N: What were you two doing?

Ram: We were looking at the performance they had here.

Rom: People did some sort of fire jutsu...

Y/N: Whatever it is, we should head back. Your sister has been looking for you.

Just before you headed back to Blanc, you asked Maria about a few things.

Y/N: Now that I think about it, I haven't got your name.

Maria: Just call me Maria. What's yours?

Y/N: It's Y/N. Thanks for taking care of Rom and Ram.

She just smiled back at you. On your way back...

<BOOM>

The convention had smoke coming out from it. People inside were already running for their lives. You saw a glimpse of a monster rampaging the insides of the convention.

Ram: Ah! What's happening?

Y/N: We should hurry.

Without another word, the four of you headed back to Noire and the rest.

Neptune and the rest were fighting the monsters trying their best not letting anyone in the convention getting hurt.

Uni: Take this!

Uni shot down a few block monsters who were flying around like annoying pests. The amount of monsters in this convention is more than the 6 of them to handle. It makes it harder since their HDD is restricted both because of the many people here and Shares.

Just when one was about to pounce on Nepgear, you threw a Gear Blade making its attack interrupted.

Nepgear: Y/N? Thank you for saving me.

Y/N: Your welcome.

You took a look around you. The convention is in ruins thanks to the rampage.

Y/N: Why is there more of them now? Usually it will be just one or two.

Before Nepgear could answer you, she executed Slash Wave and it destroyed a monster behind you.

Nepgear: Sorry for the sudden attack.

Y/N: It's fine.

Rom & Ram: Onee-chan!

Blanc: There you are. What were you two doing?

Vert: Ask them later. We have a bigger problem on our hands.

Maria was secretly watching you and the rest outside of the convention.

Maria: (This might be it! With this many monsters roaming, Purple Heart and the rest should appear.)

???: They won't appear.

Another girl's voice was heard but only Maria heard it.

Maria: Who are you? And what are you talking about?

???: <giggle> What matters now is, you want to see Purple Heart now right?

Maria: Yes! I really do!

???: Make a wish on this stone. They would surely come if you do.

An amethyst crystal appeared on Maria's hand. Without a second thought, she made a wish on the stone. Her wish was obvious but after the wish was made. The monsters suddenly went into a Viral State.

The monsters went berserk and started beating the hell out of you and the rest.

Neptune: That's not fair! Not even the story creator will be this cruel!

Blanc: To suddenly change into a Viral State... We might not stand a chance...

You looked around to see if  there was anyone left. From your field of vision there wasn't anyone so you gave a signal to the girls that activating HDD is fine. They activated it as soon as you gave the signal.

Vert(HDD): This should make things a little easier.

Maria: Wait... Those girls are...

???: CPUs. They are not from this world. You should go and talk to them.

Maria just nods. She tried to go to them but tripped when she kicked a rubble.

Blanc(HDD): That's...

Blanc flew to Maria and smashed the stone which was about to flatten her.

Blanc(HDD): Why are you still here? This place is dangerous.

Maria: I...

You formed the 4th piece together and killed a block monster. You turned around to see Blanc and Maria.

Y/N: Maria?

Dragon: RAWHHH!!!

The dragon dashed towards Blanc. She executed a skill; spins around and stopped herself.

Blanc(HDD): Let's see how you like this! Zerstorung!

The smash sent the dragon nearly flying if it wasn't for the Viral State it got. After that, you ran to the both of them.

Y/N: The both of you okay?

Blanc(HDD): We're fine. It's just this girl. She tripped over.

Y/N: I'll get her to safety. Can you handle this situation?

Blanc(HDD): Consider it done.

You placed your swords back into your sheath and carried Maria princess style. You headed to the nearest exit. As soon as you left, the dragon charged his flame breath and fired at Blanc. It was an unexpected attack so Blanc had no time to dodge.

Y/N: BLANC!

Blanc(HDD): <grunts> Dammit! Hurry and take that girl somewhere safe! That dragon is mine!

Blanc got up and retaliated against the dragon. You did as told by her. You placed Maria outside of the infested convention. Maria noticed your left eye had changed.

Maria: Your left eye...

It was happening again. You placed your left hand on it trying to hide it although you know that's purposeless.

Y/N: Just get as far from here as possible.

Maria: What about you?

Y/N: My house is on the other side. Don't worry about me.

Maria: A-Alright...

Maria began walking away from the convention and you returned to the battlefield.

???: What are you doing? I thought you wanted to meet the CPUs?

Maria: I...

???: Never mind. You still have time...

You smashed one of the monsters. You could feel yourself about to go crazy. The pain in your head just continued.

Y/N: (I have to calm down... I can't let my emotions get the best of me...)

Mebius: What can you protect if you don't use the strength you were gifted with?

Y/N: What do you know?!

You turned to see the source of the sound and Mebius was there standing with a smile on his face.

Y/N: That's it! I've had enough of your rambling! I'll end you right here right now!

Neptune's P.O.V

<BOOM>

I turned to the source of the sound and saw Y/N in his Processor Unit.

He obliterated a Fenrir almost instantly.

Uni(HDD): He went berserk again...

Noire(HDD): That baka... I told him not to fight.

Vert(HDD): Blaming him now won't change anything.

Yuu: Stand down!

We turned around to see the police force had already arrived to the scene. At this rate, they will be easy target for Y/N's slaughter.

Neptune(HDD): Leave Y/N to me. The rest of you warn the police and return back to the house.

Blanc(HDD): Are you nuts? The 8 of us couldn't even handle him and you want to take him down alone?

Neptune(HDD): I'll just have to use the NEXT form.

Vert(HDD): You need a considerable amount of Shares if you want to last at least last for 10 minutes in that form. The only person whose putting his faith in us is Y/N.

Neptune(HDD): Trust me in this. Y/N trusts me more than anyone else here.

Noire(HDD): Since when?

Policeman: Shouldn't we warn them about the danger?

Yuu: Don't spoil the atmosphere.

Vert(HDD): If Purple Heart is that confident then we'll just listen to her.

Nepgear(HDD): Will you be fine, Onee-chan?

Neptune(HDD): I promise to bring back Y/N no matter the cost.

Noire(HDD): Hmph. Let's go girls.

They all took off with the police force who were very cooperative. During our whole discussion, Y/N had already eliminated all the monsters here. That just proves this won't be an easy fight.

Neptune(HDD): I think it's time for you to realise what you're doing now Y/N.

Y/N(HDD): Don't talk to me like you know those kind of things.

Neptune(HDD): What are you talking about Y/N? It's me Neptune.

Y/N: You can't fool me! I know you're capable of disguising yourself as other people Mebius!

Neptune(HDD): (So he sees me as Mebius...) I hope I could avoid fighting you but looks like that's impossible now.

<Transform>

Neptune(NEXT):  Come at me!

Y/N(HDD): I'll end this quickly.

He took out both Demolition and clashed with my sword. I pushed him back and he used Destruction Rush

Neptune(NEXT): It's useless. Cross Combination!

Our swords clashed as we did our combo skills. The final blow knocked me back a bit.

Y/N(HDD): Why won't you fall already?! Plasma Slash!

I dodged it and did Delta Slash. Y/N managed to evade all of them with ease thanks to his highly enhanced speed. I could feel I'm almost at my limit.

Neptune(NEXT): (Looks like I can't last very long...)

Y/N(HDD): I'm going all out! Transcendent Slash!

Neptune(NEXT): I don't see why I should hold back. Witness my special! Neptune Break!

Our swords clashed as we begin our attack. Y/N's Machina opened and he took a blade. We kept on clashing with increasing speed. Once it was near our end, Y/N created 6 afterimages of himself each one grabbing a sword. All of them charged at me.

Neptune(NEXT): (How do I stop this...)

For a moment, I felt the real Y/N. The one holding Tempest is the one. It was the first one to come at me. I evaded his slash and parried his attack.

Y/N(HDD): Kuh!

Neptune(NEXT): This is it!

I did one powerful slash at Y/N and the afterimages disappeared making the swords fall on the ground. His Processor Unit protected him and disappeared as his HDD mode timed out. I carried him in my arms and I could see tears forming in his eyes.

Neptune(NEXT): Don't worry Y/N. I'll find a way to break this curse...

The End: Chapter 11: Curse

That's a good way to finish the Summer Holidays. Will there be a cure to your berserk state? How will the girls save you from your own despair?

AHH!!! Finally I could publish this chapter. I'm extremely sorry for the delay. I can't say much other than me being busy. I might change Luna's appearance just because the current one doesn't seem to fit well enough.
