•3rd person•

"Happy birthday to you!" Peter's aunt and uncle sing as they place the cake in front of Peter.

Peter blew out the candles and smiles.

"You're seven now Peter! How do you feel?" Ben asks as he records this moment.

"Awesome!" Peter jumps up and down, "can we cake now?"

May and Ben laugh. They grab a knife and cut into the cake, creating slices.

"Here you go!" Ben says as he placed a slice of cake on Peter's plate.

Peter immediately digs into the cake.

"Should we tell him the big surprise?" May whispers into Ben's ear.

"Yes."

May looks at Peter who is shoving cake into his mouth, she laughs. "Slow down there," she laughs again.

He looks up at her and smiles.

"Anyways, we better clean you up before the big surprise!" May says. Peter starts jumping up and down once again in excitement.

•10 minutes•

May leads Peter down stairs where they are met by Ben.

"What's in there aunt May?" Peter asks.

"You'll see," she responds as Ben opens the door, revealing a science lab.

"This was your fathers lab where he done many projects," Ben explains.

Peter looks around in shock. He finally got to see his father's lab.

Peter sees something slightly glowing in a jar.

He walks over to it and in the jar holds a spider.

"Ah, this was one of your fathers greatest experiments," Ben says. "No one knows if it's dangerous or not, he never got the chance to test it out."

Peter puts the jar down, still fascinated in it.

He walks away to see if he can find something else that is cool.

•bed time (10pm)•

"Goodnight Peter," May says.

"Goodnight," he responds.

Peter really wants to see the spider again. He can't stop thinking about how it glowed. He is overly fascinated. He needed to see it again.

•30 minutes later•

The whole house is silent. Peter assumes that his uncle and aunt are sleeping. So he leaves his room and runs down to the lab.

He opens the door, but it is dark.

He looks around for a light switch. When he finds it, he flips the switch and the lab brightens up.

He looks around until he sees the jar glowing.

He picked up the jar and sat on the floor with it.

"Pretty spider," Peter smiles while twisting the lid off the jar. "Pretty spider deserves to be free and make other pretty spiders."
And with that, the lid slides off and the spider jumps on the floor.

"Run pretty spider," he says.

The spider looks at Peter.

Peter laughs slightly. "May I pat you pretty spider?"

When Peter obviously didn't get a response.... because it's a spider, he lifts his hand carefully and places it on the spider's back.

"Nice spider."

That was until the spider jumps on Peter's arm and sticks his teeth into his arm.

"No! Bad spider!" Peter says.

Suddenly, the spider falls to the floor, dead. Peter realises that the spider bit him. It didn't even hurt.

Peter freaked out for a second before standing up quickly and running out the lab. He runs up to his room and jumps on his bed.

He stares at the two tiny holes the spider caused.

He was confused, it didn't hurt nor do anything. It just created two tiny holes in his arm.

Peter didn't know if he should wake up his aunt and uncle to say what happened.

On one hand, he would be in a lot of trouble but on another hand they would make sure that it didn't do any damage.
Peter decides to stay quiet. He shrugs it off and goes to sleep.

•The morning•

Peter wakes up. The first thought that comes across his mind was the spider bite. He jumps out of bed and panicky looks at his arm.

Nothing.

No holes.

"Just a dream," Peter says.

He walks to the kitchen to find his aunt May cooking pancakes, Peter's favourite breakfast food.

"Here you go Peter, a nice fresh hot pancake just for you," May cheerfully says.

Peter doesn't  waste any time to eat it all.

"Uhh May, can I go back down to the lab for a second please?" Peter asks.

"As long as you be careful," she responds.

"Thank you, I love you," Peter smiles.

"Love you too."

Peter gets off his chair and walks down stairs. The door is open and the light is on.

'What?' Peter thinks to himself.

He looks at the spot where he was sitting last night and there it lays, The dead spider.

He freezes where he stands, looking back at his arm continuously.

"No dream," he freaks.

He runs over to the spider and places it back in the jar.

At that moment he hears a large 'bang'.
He looks at the lab door and slowly starts walking towards it.

"Where is he!" A voice yells.

"I'm not telling you!" May yells back, terrified.

Peter stands at the lab door, he wonders if he should walk upstairs or not.

As he starts to take small steps upstairs Ben runs down.

"Peter follow me!" Ben yells.

He takes Peter to a dark room.

"Stay in here and be quiet, please," Ben says.

"What's happening?"

"It's okay, just stay here. I love you Pete," Ben says.

"I love you too," Peter speaks as Ben closes the door.

Peter heard multiple bangs. Gun shots and doors braking.

"Look everywhere!" A man yells.

Peter walks to the corner of the dark room, trying to hide.

He then hears a loud bang on the door.
"We know you're in there, come out!" A man shouts.

Peter stands in silence.

"We won't hurt you kid," the man softens his voice.

"Who is it?" Peter asks, immediately regretting he talked.

"The spider you were bitten by, you may be wondering what will happen to you. We are the ones who will help you," the man says.

Peter was convinced in trusting them.
He walks towards the door, "where's my uncle and auntie?"

"They're... sleeping," the man lies.

"Okay," Peter says with a questing tone.
He opens the door to see a tall man. He has soldiers around him.

"Come with us," the man says.

Peter nods and starts following them.

When he is in the living room he can't  see his auntie or uncle anywhere.
Peter doesn't get time to question anything. He is being taken outside and he sees a few vans with HYDRA printed onto them.

"What's hiddra?" Peter asks.

"It's pronounced HYDRA and we are going to help you," the man says.

"With what?" Peter asks quietly.

"The spider bite, it will change you and we are the only ones who can help," The tall man explains.

Peter nods and walks towards the van.

Peter and the tall man walks onto the van.

He sees the soldiers walk into the other few vans.

Where is he going?
