"That cat looks familiar..." You mumbled out, trying to recall where you saw the animal.

"Didn't we see him when he crashed into us?" Wendy asked.

"Yes!" You replied back eagerly.

His brown eyes were flickering between the three of you, his tail twitching lightly. He blinked once more and looked away, opting to sleep once again.

"He doesn't like it here." Dowoon frowned. "All he does all day is being curled up in the corner. He doesn't give try to go outside when we take them out for some fresh air."

You frowned. The cat hybrid was still curled up and the only sign of movement was his side going up and down. Were you even going to be getting another hybrid? Wendy and Dowoon continued on down the line of cages while you stood there for a moment longer.

Biting the inside of your cheek, you slowly started following the duo as they went further back. You had just gotten another hybrid! You only sighed at your thoughts as you continued through the shelter.

Now it was after work and you were casually waiting outside the building for Sei. He reminded you today that you guys would go out. Where? He didn't mention. After a couple more moments, a nice looking car pulled up. You smiled and went over to it. Sei was just getting out of the car when he noticed you. "Hey!" He smiled.

"Hi!" You smiled back at him. He quickly came around and gave you a hug. "Ready for tonight?"

"Sure, where are we even going?" You asked as you got into the car and he did the same.

"Not telling." He said as he pulled away from the curb.

"You're planning to take me to the woods or something and we'll be in a horror movie thing?" You joked.

"Damn it, you figured out my plan." Sei teased, rolling his eyes.

"Wow I can't believe you." You shook your head.

"I've been thinking..." Sei's tone of joking went away and soon was replaced by a serious tone. "Do you think I should hybrid for my sister for her birthday?"

"She wants a hybrid?" You asked. You've met his sister and she was the most sweetest person you've ever met. She's only a year younger than Sei and was really friendly towards you.

"Yeah." Sei slowed down to a stop sign. "She says that she thinks she's ready to take on a hybrid. We used to have a couple when we were younger..."

"It's probably a good idea." You commented.

"You think so?" He glanced towards you for a second. "I'm just not sure what if that makes it dehumanizing, you know?"

"Oh. I didn't think about that..." You said as you thought it over. It would be sort of inhumane if you did give a hybrid away as a present like a toy or something. "Maybe you could just take her to the shelter?"

"You're so smart." Sei smiled as he pressed on the gas. "I didn't think of that. I was stupid."

"Aw thanks." You laughed.

"Can you come with us please?" Sei asked. "I'm sure Satsuki would like to see you again as well."

"Sure. I've been thinking of getting another hybrid anyways." You let the words spill right out of your mouth.

"Another?" Sei questioned. "Did you get a hybrid?"

"Um yeah. Actually two..." You replied back. Did you even want to tell him that they were both male hybrids? 'Why did I even say that to begin with?'  You thought to yourself. Well, at least it came out sooner than later.

"Oh really?" Sei glanced at for a moment once more. "Do they have their, uh, pills? You know..."

"Yes they do." You said.

"Good, good. What types are they?" Sei smiled happily.

"A corgi and a falcon." You smiled back, proud of your hybrids.

Sei was quiet for a moment. "Did you say a corgi? Those cute things?"

"Yep."

"How cute though?"

"Very cute."

After a little date at the bakery with a little cake, you arrived home. Sei had told you that he'll pick you up after work on Friday and go to the shelter. It was a plan and you promised to let Sei see your hybrids on Sunday. He really liked cute dog hybrids and wanted to see your corgi.

With a smile on your lips from remembering Sei's happy face, you unlocked the door. Already you could faintly hear footsteps and suddenly the door opened to reveal Jimin.

Jimin immediately smiled where his eyes crinkled. "Y/N!" Then he went right for a hug. After a second, he let you go to let you inside your apartment.

There Seokjin was smiling at you as he also went for a hug. "Welcome home, Y/N." He said calmly rather than your corgi who was still overly-excited.

"Did you have a good day?" You asked the hybrids.

Jimin smiled once more. "Yes! Seokjin made us some noodles for lunch and dinner!" He said excitedly.

"You can cook?" You turned to ask Seokjin.

Seokjin nodded once in response. "Yes, I learned from my previous owners."

"Oh, well thank you for cooking." You praised the falcon hybrid who in returned smiled brightly.

Jimin tugged on your hand and lead you to the kitchen where there was a bowl waiting just for you. "We made you a bowl!" He excitedly said.

"Thank you." You sat down in the chair and stared at the good-looking food in front of you. You took a bite and it was amazing. "Wow, Jin, this is really good."

Seokjin tilted his head in confusion. "Jin?"

You paused your eating for a moment. "Oh sorry. Do you not like that nickname? I'll call you just Seokjin if you want."

"Nickname?" Seokjin mumbled under his breath but then a smile lit up his features. "I like that nickname."

"Y/N?" Jimin had wrapped his arms around you, his face burying in your clothes. "What is this smell?"

You furrowed your eyebrows. "What do you mean, Jimin?" He kept on sniffing and even Seokjin raised his head a little to smell the air.

"This smell..." Jimin mumbled as he kept on sniffing. "It doesn't smell like you. It's different."

You stayed silent for a moment, trying to figure out what smell Jimin was saying. Was it because of the shelter? That had to be it, surely? Well, it most likely was that. "What smell?"

Jimin sniffed once more. "I don't know. I just don't like it."

You let out a sigh as you continued eating, sort of ignoring the sniffing corgi who still clung onto your clothes. He was just a little over-protective.
