Gem's pov

It was now the weekend, and I woke up at 10 am to knocking on my door. I stretched and got up, looking in the mirror to check myself over. Holy crap I have such a bad bedhead right now, I take my brush and got the worst of it out. I then threw on a black t-shirt that read "ummm. No" in white and hot pink letters, followed by some black sweat pants. I put my hot pink hoodie on to give my outfit some color, and walked out of my room. I saw undyne waiting for me on the couch, but undyne quickly turned to me and said "wanna do some high level training?!". I didn't know what she had planned, so I said "I guess". Undyne yelled "Great!", grabbed me and picked me up like a football, and ran out the door. This isn't the first time undyne has done this, so I was pretty calm. Undyne ran to her house, jumping over her fence and into her backyard, which was full of training dummies and stuff. Undyne then set me down and said "Ok, Papyrus recommended you do this for 'strength purposes' or something. So I want You To Hit That dummy with everything you've got!", pointing to on of the dummy's. I stood there for a second, shrugged, summoned a Gaster blaster, fired it full power at the dummy, then turned back to undyne. Undyne had wide eyes, and a shocked expression across her face.

A few minuets later.

Undyne dropped me off in front of papyrus, and said "Papyrus, she doesn't need training if she's stronger than me". Papyrus dropped the spoon he was using to make spaghetti, and his eye sockets got really big. Papyrus struggled with his words, but said "SHE....... IS S-STRONGER THAN YOU?!". Papyrus looked at me and I just shrugged, papyrus continued a little more confident in his wording "BUT WHEN WE SPARRED SHE WOULDN'T EVEN TRY, AND ALL OF HER ATTACKS WERE REALLY WEAK". Undyne said "if she went all out she would've killed you, she only held back so much because she didn't want to hurt you", I nodded sheepishly as I heard papyrus gasp. I asked "can I go back to sleep now?", papyrus yelled "NO, I MUST SEE THIS POWER YOU CAN USE". Papyrus then picked me up like a football and ran to undynes house, undyne trailing behind us. We got there again, and papyrus set me down. Papyrus then said "OK GEM, DO IT AGAIN", pointing to a training dummy. I sighed and summoned my Gaster blaster firing it full power at the dummy, nearly disintegrating it. Papyrus gasped in awe, and seemed really excited. I turned to papyrus and asked "can we go home now? I wanna sleep", papyrus was still in a slight shock from the explosion. I waved my hand in front of his face and nudged him a little, papyrus snapped out of his trance and asked "WHAT DID YOU SAY GEM?". I said "I wanna go home, I'm tired", my eyes began to feel heavy, but I forced myself to stay awake. Papyrus nodded, seeing how tired I was, and picked me up. I was basically on his back, papyrus held me up by supporting my legs, and I had my hands wrapped his scarf. As papyrus began to walk home after saying goodbye to undyne, then saying "just build up her endurance for training"; I began to drift off to sleep. I then found myself forever falling in a black void, a hot pink upside down heart appeared in front of me. The heart slowly lost its color to make a very light hot pink and cracks made its way toward the center. As that happened, my chest began to hurt and I began to feel numb. I felt like crying, but there were no tears coming out of my eyes. I just sighed, closing my eyes, accepting this as my new life. I then woke up on my bed, I looked around and saw a note. I picked up the note and it read:
DEAR GEM, I NOTICED YOU FELL ASLEEP ON THE WALK HOME, SO I PUT IK YOUR BED. ALSO, I NOTICED YOU WERE CRYING IN YOUR SLEEP, IF YOU NEED TO TALK I'M ALWAYS HERE FOR YOU.

-THE GREAT PAPYRUS

I wrote a small 'thank you' on the bottom of the letter and got up. I then realized how hungry I was and mindlessly headed to the kitchen. I opened the fridge and began to look for a snack of some sort, finding only milk, butter, eggs, and other things. I closed the fridge and nearly screamed when I saw that sans was right behind me. "Sans, why?!", sans just started chuckling at me, almost unable to breathe. I sighed, feeling a slight pain in my chest. I remembered my dream and pulled my soul out of my chest, there were cracks running toward the center, and it's color had faded a lot. There was even a small amount of mist around it too, I knew it wasn't good. Sans saw it as I put my soul back in my chest, and was now looking at me with concern in his eye sockets. Sans asked "gem are you ok?", I checked my HP, which read 4.5/5, and said "I think so". I didn't think my souls condition was that bad. My soul is already so cracked that it's leaking liquid hope everywhere. This is bad; very, very bad. Before sans could say anything, I teleported to alphys' lab. "Alphys!", I called out. I heard an anime playing and followed the sound until I reached alphys. I got up next to her and said "alphys", making her jump and frantically try to pause her anime. Once it was paused, I said "I have a problem". Alphys adjusted her glasses and asked "w-what's the problem?", I pulled out my now faint f/c, cracked soul. Alphys gasped as I said "I feel numb". Alphys shook in place as she stuttered "y-you're f-falling apart", I said "it gets worse when I fall asleep". Alphys started asking me questions. "What makes you feel good?"
"Uhhh, listening to music, seeing my friends happy...... seeing sans happy"
"What makes you unhappy?"
"Literally anything I don't like doing"
The questions continued for a while, alphys later said that I should spend a lot of time with sans, and do some of my favorite things with him. Then alphys called sans and told him something similar to what she told me. Sans then teleported over and my face started to heat up, I felt my emotions return a little bit. Sans walked up to me and asked "what do you wanna do".
