Sans pov

I woke up around 9:00 a.m. and went downstairs to have breakfast. Gem was already up and looked kinda tired. I decided to take her to Grillby's. Once she was done with her burger and fries, we went to the store and bought some clothes which consisted of magenta hoodie's, sweat pants, pink t-shirts, and hot pink sweaters. I asked gem what school she went to, she told me that she went to Ebbot high. So it was decided that she would go there. It was close to our house, and it seems gem is familiar with the place, so it only seems like the best idea. Once we got home, I decided to get gem her own room since she's living with us now. I remember seeing a door on the side of the steps that we never used. If I clean it out and get gem set up, it could be her room. When I opened the door, I saw that the room was already cleared. It just needed to be cleaned and inhabited by furniture.

(Time skip to when sans is done cleaning the room)

I was finally done cleaning the spare room for gem, I stood at the entrance and admired my work. I then went to the store and got a bed, mattress, hot pink bed sheets, a dresser, a full length mirror, and a night stand. I teleported it all into the room in their respective spots. Once it looked like a suitable room, I closed the door and went to the living room and lounged on the couch, taking a well deserved break. This was the best surprise, since gem and papyrus were in his room talking to each other about food, or common interests. Gem and papyrus eventually came out of the room. Papyrus went to the kitchen to make spaghetti and gem sat on the couch next to me. Since I was a little curious as to what they were doing, I asked gem "so, what were you and papyrus doing in his room?", she was silent for a second before responding "what was I doing with papyrus?", I nod, she continues "oh, we were just talking about our likes and dislikes... almost like playing 20 questions... but yeah, papyrus told me some stuff about the underground, like the landscape and wanting to be in the royal guard... what were you doing while we were talking?". I lied to her by saying that I was at grillbys and went shopping, well the last part was true. She nodded showing that she believed me. I told her that I had a surprise for her later and she looked at me with excitement and wonder in her eyes and asked "really?!", I nodded and she started squealing like a child. She tried to get me to give her hints, but I wouldn't spill. Dinner came around and papyrus' spaghetti was actually edible! Gem might've given him some cooking tips or something. After we all ate our spaghetti, I announced "hey guys, c'mere, I have a surprise for you." Gem could barely contain her excitement, and papyrus was curiously following suite. I led them to the door of the room that I was working on the whole time. I got a better idea and told them to cover their eyes to make it a better surprise. They did as they were told and covered their eyes. I opened the door and led them into the room and flipped on the light. Then I told them to open their eyes gem and papyrus shared the same shocked expression for a few moments. I said "while you two were mingling in paps' room, I was working on this", and gestured to the whole room. Gem was the first to walk forward and look around the room. Papyrus asked me "SANS.... YOU DID THIS?!". I nodded and said "yup" before getting picked up and pulled into a bone crushing hug. Papyrus said "I AM SO PROUD OF YOU SANS" and put me down. I walked up to gem and said "welcome to your new room gem". She turned around and hugged me repeating "thank you", and "thank you so much" over and over and over again. I told her "your welcome" and returned the hug. It took me a minuet to realize that she was crying into my shoulder. Papyrus said that she was crying tears of joy. I believed him. She let go of me and wiped her eyes and said "I don't know what i did to deserve this... you all have given me so many things. Food, a place to sleep, and now, I have my own room?! I can't thank you all enough". I could tell that she was getting really attached to us. Maybe she'll be ready to meet undyne and everyone else.

Gems pov

I got settled into my new room and decided to sleep on my nice, comfy bed. I woke up at 6:00 am and got ready for school. I made sure to brush my hair and do my routine. I met sans in the living room and he handed me my backpack. I thanked him and went to school. When I arrived, I saw a familiar group of girls giving me dirty looks. I quickly realized that it was Jessica (sorry if you have that name, I just picked a random name... change it if you want to tho) and her group of friends. I surprisingly remembered the place, my locker number and combo despite getting whacked across the head with a broken beer bottle a few weeks ago. The group of girls walked up to me and said "well well well, look what we have here... the ugly stray". I didn't want to put up with her crap so I said "what do you want" with a bored, harsh tone. She said "oh... I only want to see you suffer, since your parents seemed to fail at being there to do it". Of all the things to bring up.... she has to talk bout my parents. Visions of my dad beating me over my mothers death. Even though all I was doing was defending myself, itwas like standing up for yourself was a crime. Which is why I don't really have much of a standard of how I should be treated as an individual. Heck, kids today could poor chocolate milk on my lap an I would apologize to them. The whole day went on like that, they called me names and shoved me a few times and I was used to it. I listened to tears by clean bandit as I walked home. Once the song ended, I teleported the rest of the way home. I went strait to doing my homework and didn't come out of my room until it was done. I ended up missing dinner, but luckily papyrus saved some spaghetti (which was actually pretty good) for me. I ended up eating dinner at 7:00 pm. You didn't mind, even if your ribs were sticking out a lot more than normal. I ate the spaghetti and thanked papyrus before getting ready for bed. Strangely, I hadn't seen sans the entire day. Papyrus told me that he was in his room, so I believed him. I went to my room and got ready for bed. I laid down on my bed and let sleep consume me as I felt myself sink into the bed.

A/n: sorry that I haven't been updating, my birthday was recently celebrated, I got caught up in other fanfics, I ended up getting sick a few days after my birthday..... that was fun (note the sarcasm), and I've been working on my other story. I will TRY to update and keep you all entertained. And by 'you all' I mean my 3 viewers.....;-;
