When Inu was only two months old, his mother died, leaving just him and his dad. Only a month after, his dad ended up getting a woman, an old love of his and someone he still loved who also loved him, pregnant.

By the time Inu was a year old, his dad and stepmom had gotten married, and his stepmom was seven months pregnant with his half brother.

     Inu was ignored by his stepmom, and he was also ignored by his dad. The favored child was his younger but bigger half brother. The reason? He was a "purebred"— perfect because of the combination of two wolf quirks. Inu was, in their eyes, just a mongrel and a mutt.

     Inu was often scolded and got into trouble for the littlest of things, whereas his brother could do huge things and get away with it.

     Sometimes his brother even blamed him for what happened and, his parents just not wanting to deal with Inu and not wanting to punish their favorite child.

     Inu was always told growing up he can't do anything right, he always forget this or that, and he's dumb and stupid, etc. It was always negative things, and his brother became a bully to him since he'd seen the way his parents treated him. It basically taught him that it was okay to treat him that way, and he's cocky because he's the purebred and the favorite.

     It's basically, in a way, like a Cinderella story, only Inu is a guy. And he does have friends, thankfully. Unfortunately, he and his brother are in the same class.

     Inu always calls his half brother his brother, not putting the half in there, whereas his brother always makes sure people know they're only half related, or he tries to deny their relations.

     Anyways, Inu has never experienced familial love before. Yet he's a very loving and caring individual. He found familial love with his classmates, bonding especially with Nekoda and with Tadashi. Who doesn't love Tadashi?
