I. Prologue

God.

A simple, yet powerful word that has influenced many cultures over the eons that humans have been alive and started believing in the acceptance of a higher power that is beyond mere mortal comprehension.

Many religions have formed with their own gods and pantheons.

It is a foundation that has stabilized many civilizations...while at times also leading to their ruins as well.

But what is a God?

In religions such as Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and Hinduism. God is the Supreme or Ultimate Reality. The Being perfect in power, wisdom, and goodness. The Creator and ruler of the universe.

The eternal, supreme being who created and preserves all things.

Many religions have their own views on gods and their roles in creating and preserving the universe.

Indian, Greek, Roman, Japanese, Chinese, Native Tribes, Norse, England, Wales, Scotland, Russian, many countries and groups have their own religions and own views of their deities.

Now, the debate about the existence of Gods has been one that has been prevalent for years ever since science had developed so far that many started questioning the existence of Gods.

"Does God truly exist?"

Some have asked.

If you asked an Atheist or a nonbeliever, they would probably say 'NO'. That God did not exist or they refuse to believe that their lives are predetermined by some higher power.

If you ask a religious person, it would vary depending on if they truly believe in God or not.

Some might say:

"Even if God doesn't exist...it's better to believe in the existence of a higher power than to be left with not even faith. Some might think it's cowardly praying to a God you might not believe exist or that you're so weak and pathetic to pray to a God. But it gives me the strength and courage to continue living and making something of myself."

It is a debate that will never be answered by mortal means. No matter hwo some might try to say oterwise.

Buuuuut, in this world?

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

Let's just say that history plays out differently.

"POSEIDON, YOU MOTHERFUCKING SON OF A BASTARD!!"

A beautiful brown haired woman screamed as she was in the middle of giving birth. Her child taking forever to pop out as she clenched the father of her baby's hand tightly.

"Al-ALLURA, YOU'RE SQUEEZING TOO HARD!!"

Poseidon shouted as he could his hand being broken.

'How is that even possible!? I'm a God!!'

Poseidon thought to himself.

Yeah, you heard that right.

This is Poseidon. The Greek God of the Seas from Greek Mythology.

The Father of Horses and Bringer of Storms and Earthquakes (also called the Earth Shaker). Second oldest son of Kronos and Rhea. With Hades as the oldest and Zeus as the youngest.

Father of Triton, his heir that he sired together with his wife Amphitrite.

Now, you might be asking why Poseidon is here?

...Well...

"You damn Gods can't keep it in your pants, can you!?"

Allura screamed as she pushed again.

"Always having to go and sleep around with whatever mortal catches your attention huh?!"

Well the Greek Gods were well known for sleeping around...most of them. Those like Hestia, Artemis and Hera did not do that for their own reasons and also concerning their domains.

Poseidon and his brothers, Zeus and Hades also known as the Big Three. Were well known to have many demigod offsprings with humans.

Even after taking that vow after World War 2 to not have kids again to avoid another war from happening.

...Which is what a majority of the Demigods knew but the real reason was to avert a prophecy that could spell their doom.

Yeah. Despite Poseidon best efforts, he couldn't control his urges anymore and went to the mortal world where he would find a stunning woman.

Allura Cross.

A beautiful woman that possess great strength and willpower in the face of adversity and being underestimated because she's a woman.

She reminded him of Amphitrite in some ways and he found himself cozying up to her.

Eventually it got more than just cozying and Allura found herself pregnant with the God of the Seas child.

"ARRGGHHH 💢💢"

Allura screamed once more as the nurses and doctor encouraged her as she is almost done.

If you're wondering why they are not reacting to Allura calling Poseidon a God that's because Poseidon used the Mist to hypnotize them to not hearing certain things that could expose the Greek Mythology world.

*CRACK!*

"AAAHHHHH Q_Q!!"

Poseidon actually cried as his hand was literally broken.

'Thank mother I will heal quickly from that!'

Poseidon thought to himself as Allura finally gave birth and the baby was out of her.

"WAAHHH!!"

The baby started crying as it was now introduced to a new world. Everything new and foreign to the newborn.

"Congratulations!"

The doctor said.

"It's a boy!"

"Hah...hah..."

Allura panted as she calmed down and let the medicine and IV work their magic as she looked to her son.

"He's beautiful."

Poseidon said as he turned to Allura.

"What do you want to name him?"

"...Diego..."

Allura smiled as the doctor and nurses took the baby away to clean him up.

"Diego..." Poseidon mused. "Not a bad name."

Allura smiled as the doctor and nurses came back with Diego cleaned up and wrapped in a blanket. Handing him to her.

"You can pick a middle name for him, Poseidon."

She said to him as she held her baby in her arms.

"Eh!?"

Poseidon shouted as he started stammering.

"Well, I, that is, I don't think-eh, well.."

Allura giggled at how flustered Poseidon suddenly was.

Poseidon mind was going at a million miles per second as he tried to think of a good middle name.

'Zeus?...Why the hell would I curse my child with that? Hades? ...He'll probably kill me? Theseus? ...Doesn't go well. Flapjacks? ...Wait what???'

Poseidon shook his head as he finally thought of one.

"Orion."

He said.

"Diego Orion Cross?"

Allura said out, nodding.

"Has a nice ring to it."

She agreed and the doctor (or nurse I don't know who does that) wrote it down on his birth certificate.

Before asking.

"And may I have your full names?"

Allura and Poseidon looked to each other before nodding and turning to him.

"Of course, it is..."

*Crackle*

??

*Hum*

Suddenly the room started flickering causing the inhabitants to startle and look around.

"What is?" "What's going on?"

"Poseidon is this your doing?"

Allura asked, fear in her voice as Poseidon looked around in worry.

"This isn't me."

He said.

"Who could?"

*FLASH!!*

A bright light interrupted him as everyone was suddenly blinded by a bright light.

"WHA!?" "What!?"

"Poseidon..."

?!?!

"Th-Those voices!"

The God's eyes widened in fear and shock as the light died to reveal...

"No..." Poseidon eyes widened in terror. "Why are THEY here!?"

Who were they?

"Who, Poseidon?!"

Allura asked urgently as she held her baby in her arms.

Diego started to cry again from the disturbance.

"Clotho..."

Poseidon fearfully said.

"Lachesis..."

"Atropos..."

He finished.

"The Fates/Moirai!"

?!?!

"Why are they here?"

Allura looked in shock as Lachesis snapped her fingers.

*SNAP*

And the doctor and nurses fell unconscious to the ground.

!!

"Poseidon..."

Clotho looked to him with a neutral stare.

"You have done the unexpected and changed the destiny of the Great Prophecy."

!!

"The Great Prophecy?"

Allura asked in shock.

What does that have to do with anything?

"Oh, so he told you then." Lachesis realized. "Very well, since things have come to this. You deserve to know the reason we are here."

"It's because he wasn't supposed to have another child!"

Atropos angrily said.

"Not until he fathered his mortal daughter! The one destined to fulfill the Great Prophecy!"

!!

"What?!"

Poseidon was shocked.

"And because of this unexpected anomaly." She continued. "This puts the Great Prophecy at risk!"

"Why does it have to be MY children?!"

Poseidon angrily asked.

"Because your daughter is the most trustworthy demigod to ever exist when she comes into existence in a few years!"

Clotho answered.

"Then why are you here?"

Poseidon asked.

"You know how capricious we Gods are. Always leaving behind children because of the Ancient Laws." He said. "Why are you here if it's fated for her to be born and the prophesized child of the Great Prophecy? Then wouldn't Diego be skipped over in favor of her? And at the very least my daughter will have an older brother to watch out for her!"

"Because now, the future is somehow uncertain!" Atropos angrily said. "His existence was not foreseen and we were unaware until his thread came into existence!"

"Because of this, we have been left with no choice!"

!!

"Wait!" Poseidon shouted. "What are you?!"

*SNIP*

Atropos cut the thread.

*THUMP*

Allura fell down to her bed...unmoving and like a puppet whose strings have been caught off.

?!

"ALLURA!!"

Poseidon shouted in horror as he stared at the dead body of Allura. His son crying in his dead mother's final embrace.

"I'm sorry Poseidon."

Clotho did say with regret.

"But you must not remember what has happened the time you were with Allura."

!?

"Wait!"

*SNAP*

Poseidon fell to the ground as the Moirai erased the memories he had of Allura and his newborn son, Diego. Replaced with false memories that not even Mnemosyne could detect.

"Now..." Atropos turned to the newborn baby. "The final task..."

"..."

"Now why am I hesitating now?"

She said in surprise as Clotho brought up Diego new thread to her.

Shaking her head, she pressed her scissors closed the thread and prepared to cut it.

*GLOW*

?!?!

"By Mother!"

Lachesis said in shock as the baby started glowing.

*SNAP*

?!

"My scissors...are broken?"

Atropos said in shock as she stared at her broken scissors.

The Weavers of Destiny looked in shock as Diego glowed and then.

*FLASH*

!?

A bright light engulfed the room like it had did when the Fates made their appearance.

When it died down.

"..."

"He's gone."

Atropos said in shock.

Diego was gone and they could not sense his presence anywhere on earth.

But before they could say anything else.

!?

They suddenly saw a future that had been hidden from them make itself known.

"...No.."

They saw, to their horror, the future that would have been if Diego had been allowed to live.

The daughter of Poseidon would still be born, and things would have still played as they had known it would.

Only difference was that Diego presence would make her and her fellow demigods less bitter towards the gods.

"What have we done?"

Clotho quietly said.

"...Perhaps this is how it was meant to be."

Lachesis solemnly said.

"...Let us go, sisters."

Atropos said as they flashed out.

...After rewriting everyone memories of Allura Cross and how she died of course.

"Uggh..."

Poseidon groaned as he got up and rubbed his head.

"What happened?" He groaned. "Feels like I had too much of Dionysus hard wine..."

???

"Huh?" He blinked as he looked at the room and at the doctor and staff in confusion. "Where am I? And who are these mortals?"

Frowning, he flashed out of there and back to Atlantis.

Unaware of the lost son he has now.

-Meanwhile-

-???-

???

"A child?"

An individual blinked as he stared at the baby now sleeping in his blanket.

Staring at the birth certificate, the male read.

"Diego Orion Cross..."

He noted that the baby's parents were not on there for some reason.

Frowning, the man decided to scoop the baby into his arms and bring him inside.

Leaving Diego to a whole other new fate.

Done!

And that's why Diego is not in PJO when Kronos attempts to raise again.

Again, tell me what you think is the best place for him to be at before he's somehow dragged into the world of Ragnarok.

Here's a couple of fanmade pics I found of Amphitrite and Persephone.

(Amphitrite)

(Persephone)

(Short haired Thor...Loki probably had a hand in it)

(And to my friends that love muscled scarred women)

(Brunnhilde)

Have a good day/night!
