The sun was about to rise, almost everyone in the palace was still asleep, only a few guards were controlling the buildings while a little group of servants was prepering everything for the morning routine; baths and breakfast. The whole palace was silent and yet so vibrant.

"oh, goodmorning Dan Sae'ssi, have you slept well?" David accidentally met the orderly so he greeted him.

"Goodmorning David...not so well... there was a... strange wind that made me wake up earlier today, is the duke still asleep?" David looked worried when he heard Dan Sae's question

"Yes, he's still asleep...however I don't think that he will be particularly happy this morning..." the butler answered

"may I ask why not?" David didn't answer, he made a movement with his hand to make Dan Sae follow him, when they reached the duke's bedroom they stopped and David stated

"Do you see?" Dan Sae looked worried when David pointed the duke, he saw his sweaty terrified face... then he heard a murmur... a whisper difficult to hear ... almost a breath... 

"voca me cum benedictis..." 

"what is he saying?" a confused Dan Sae asked to the butler

"well...the duke was an officer of the swiss guard of his majesty the king Louis XVI... however... after the first period of the revolution... the peasants attacked le palais de Tuileries the 10th august 1792..." David started

"and then?" Dan Sae asked

"well... it was a massacre... blood and corpses everywhere, the king and his family got arrested and...his lover... his korean guard died a few hours later at Versailles... Kangsung..." as David said that name the duke repeated it, like if he was listening the whole conversation...

"Kangsung...please.. no..."

Maurice... forgive me... forget me...

"NO" with a shout the duke woke up, when he realized it was just the same, terrible and terrifying nightmare, he got calm and asked 

"David... would you please take me a cup of tea?... and take Dan sae'ssi with you... I'm not ready 

"I'm sorry your highness but I must disobey to your order" Dan Sae stated, the he continued

"you should talk abut what you just dreamt, you should let things flow out"

"stop..." the duke ordered

"no, please your highness, talk to me, tell me what..." Dan sae got interrupted by a suffering duke

"I said... stop... do you know who much i suffered til today' Do you know how many times I told to David always the same nightmare hoping it would go away? Do you know how frustrating it could be... when each night you see over... and over again your beloved one who just dies in front of you? Please... let me rest a bit... it'll be enough..."

An hour later the hwarangs were in the courtyard, waiting for their master and for their first lesson. The duke arrived soon

"goodmorning students, today we will move to the hall and talk about ... talk abou..." he suddenly fainted, probably he was still tired, Dan Sae avoided his fall but this second time wasn't as the previous one...

"Dan sae..." the duke murmured, maybe he was more conscious or maybe... there was something more... special?
